Sorry if I sound like a smart alec , I don't mean to but I get misunderstood alot...any way : 1. Save early , save often.  2. Instead of trying to guess , if you didn't save , then you should start again , this time pay attention to what the guy does when you ask for a souvenir (sp.) and write down the sequence. I love this puzzle , reminds me of Kyrandia only instead of messing with bugs you get to see somebody else mess with buttons. lol

Unless it gets changed around some how with every new game , the sequence is Red Red Blue/Purple Yellow Green Blue/Purple

I finally got out but I think I discovered another bug.
When you try to look at the trees ,  Bernie says you have to wait until daytime , then the game just freezes up.
Finished! Silly me , I should've thought of simply pouring the water from the sponge into the beaker in the first place. Interesting that you end up back in your room and stuff after the game is over. Cool!

Pretty fun game but kinda not knowing
what to do next is a pain...thanks for making this , as much I complain some times , I barely know how to program myself.

Pepperoni pizza , I'll try others some times but usually I prefer just the pepperoni..I also love stuffed crust pizza.
I'm not picky either , it doesn't matter wether it's store bought or from Pizza Hut or what ever , as long as it's pizza , I'm interested. lol
And I love Chinese , Mexican , and Italian food.
I love spaghetti , chicken lo mein / mien , sesame chicken , brocolli and cheese , carrots ,  cherries ,  celery ,  pears , apples and oranges ( but not as much as pears and cherries ) , coconut , ect.
I hate nearly all seafood.
And , ( of course! lol ) , I love "junk food" like candy and chocolate too.  

Wow , I finally finished the game and that is a sad ending!
His eyes may be scary but I still felt badly for him.

It took me a while to figure out that I _could_ go further into the castle just by going south , I don't know if you check your pms or what but I had asked you for help and you didn't reply back...just saying...if you don't check your pms , please start doing so. Any way ,  other than the annoying parts ( trying to find my way around....thinking I was stuck for quite a while when all I had to do was look around more ) , great game. Sad ending , I know not everything has to have a happy ending but I like happy endings better. Any chance of a sequel where it turns out that Dante didn't really die and the whole end scene was in a fact a bad joke? I can't wait to see other projects from you.

I haven't seen some of the mentioned ads and don't recognise all the names , I don't just watch stuff like "Proud Family" and "Farscape"...I also watch TV for channels like Animal Planet or what ever ...Discovery...Home and Garden ...ect.
Any way , those Gatorade commericials tick me off and so do health and hygene commercials ,  like when you're trying to eat ,  some how all that seems to be on that moment are health and hygene related commercials...yuck ...then when you're not hungry they have food commercials and all of a sudden you're hungry again! lol
But I mostly hate Gatorade and badly made commercials.
I mean , come on ,  what brainiac decided that people would get inspired to buy gatorade after showing them commercials about people sweating the drink? Eww.

As for using the sponge in the same place I got it...I tried that , I thought I already made it clear that I have a wet sponge and nothing to use it on? Or do you mean trying to use the wet sponge in the bathroom again? Sorry , bit confused here ,  I just joined another forum ( for the place that used to be Tierra ) and was just asking about the King's Quest parody there. Any way....back to the subject at hand...I'll try again but with my luck I'll probably still be stuck. lol *pout and whine* arrrr

What about pirate games? Any comments for me on the whole pirate thing? Any body?

Some other ideas - a game where you're a cat ( I love cats and kittens and get annoyed when people talk badly of them ) ...an egyptian based game , at least one hobbit / vampire related game ( one of my characters is a vampiric hobbit - Chillwise Bonfire ) , and of course there just has to be a game set in outer space since one of my characters is an ex-space pirate ( oh yeah there's another pirate game idea already...so that's one for the regular idea of pirate games and one for an ex-space pirate..lol ) who now owns a successful pizza resturant (sp.) chain.
Oh , and of course I'd have to do at least one horror game.
Hehehe.

I got the ticket and some other stuff just fine but I can't find the key to the backyard door , can't set fire to anything to distract Mum ,  and Mum won't let me go exploring away from the house.  But , muuuum , there's a mystery to be solved! ( lol ) The game won't let me cook the steak or use the sponge on anything either. It'd be funny if I could distract mum by wetting her favorite painting or cooking for her. And the game won't me sleep so am I supposed to stay up just because there's a mystery? lol

So far...Pretty funny yet frustrating at the same time.
Despite the words showing up , sometimes it's a pixel hunt before you realize anything else is in a certain spot.

I tried to drug the coffee but Jamie just says that he thinks I'm going to a dead end fast and won't drug the coffee.
He won't let me take the other cup , I would've liked to have been able to so I can switch cups or something...like...you could've put an optional way to solve the problem of getting out of the jail by allowing the player to switch cups for a time or some thing ....that way either they could drug the coffee after switching cups or have the cop pick up the wrong cup and notice that it's empty or different...says something to Jamie and leaves momentarily...allowing just enough time for Jamie to do something else to try and get away...like say because the guard is dumb..he leaves behind the key...so Jamie can use the magnet to get the key and the rest should be pretty obvious...lol ...but nooo..I'm still in this stupid cell! ARGG! *sighs*

Hmm , demos have the opposite effect on me. ( that is...they don't spoil the game for me...then again I'm one of those people that you could tell the whole story too and usually I'd still want to see ...play...or what ever ....the finished project for myself ...for example...for a while I was interested in the Blair Witch project...then got disinterested and even disgusted because it was overhyped ...later after seeing previews for the second movie only once or what ever...and the fact that that one wasn't overhyped..that and the games got me interested in the series again..even though I still haven't seen the first one yet but the thing is I'm interested again...usually though I'm interested in stuff no matter how overhyped it is nor how much research I've done on it )
btw I can't wait to play this game

Yes , I love Greek myths , but it's been awhile since I've actually read anything involving centaurs. -_-;
I considered having it be about kidnapping a princess or something before but I guess I just quickly forgot about it again. lol
Is it possible to make an ags game where you get to choose your gender? I haven't seen anything like that yet and originally my idea was for the main character to be a female centaur ( forgot to mention that earlier ) but just now I thought , maybe some people would rather they get to choose which gender instead of "being forced" to play as a female. I know I get sick and tired of having to play as a guy in games , so I thought it might upset some guys to have to play as a girl. *shrugs*
I hadn't even considered putting Chiron in the game , that's a great idea! Thanks for the help.

I love pirates but pirate games have already been covered in AGS , so , would people get annoyed if I made a pirate game? Should I just have pirates as cameos or some thing in Centaur Mania or would it not be a big deal to work on a pirate game after Centaur Mania?

I hope I'm right in assuming this is ok to put here since it has no screenshots or anything , so it doesn't belong in "games in production" ...and since it's adventure related , I thought it didn't really belong in general...anyways , I have kicked around this idea for a while now and even started working on it but with a different engine ,  but I think it'd be a better idea to have it as my first ags game. The biggest problem is that I have no plot , so it's just "well it hasn't been done before but I only have a very basic idea about what I want to do"...which is...you play as a centaur , in a game about centaurs , hence the title , Centaur Mania.  I read this article where a person complained that you could only see centaurs as NPCs and such , but you'd never actually get to play as a centaur , I agree and think there should be at least one game out there in which centaur lovers like me can do that.  Yet when it comes to anything more creative than that ( like what is the players motivation..save a princess or what? lol ) ,  I can't come up with anything / am lazy and haven't come up with anything.
It's annoying because I consider myself a pretty creative person , or I at least try to be. Yet , so far , all I see in my head for this game are centaurs and pretty tents out in a desert.
Soo ....should I go with a cliche and have the plot be a "save royality / the world" or what?
Oh , and of course it's supposed to be pretty funny , since the word mania is in the title.

Kairus: Sierra are neglecting the VGA remakes, and lucas have already closed down two fan projects, and seeing as there are more to come, will most probably close down MI 1,5/ not that I hope so, Im just stating facts - they closed scurvyliver's project for using ripped graphics/.

I disagree , at least on the Sierra thing. I don't know what you mean by neglecting , but last time I checked , Sierra no longer makes adventure games any way....so why would they make a big deal about people doing fan versions of older games? I could understand if they got upset about a fan doing a remake of an old sports game since that's why many of the people who worked on the adventure games got layed off in the first place...the president or whatever was more into sports and didn't give a flying fig about adventure games. ( *growls* ) I don't remember seeing any news about lucasfilm / lucassoft so I don't know about that but as far as I know "New" Sierra either doesn't know or doesn't care about fanmade versions of old adventure games and they don't make adventure games , while "Old" Sierra totally is in love with the idea of fans remaking older games , in fact , there was going to be a King's Quest parody and the guy who voice acted in the older games was going to be working on the project / as the voice for King Graham again! Eventually though they decided to trash the project , not because of anything Sierra stated but the group working on it ( Tierra soft...they have a new name now...I can't remember it ) stopped because they were starting to feel as though it was too rude...They stopped themselves ..not Sierra, so , in my opinion , if Sierra did give a flying fig about this sort of thing , then they aren't doing anything about it. Weird , eh? I'm kinda glad though , I'd hate it they started cracking down on stuff because it's almost always over something stupid when big companies crack down on stuff. Why don't they go after people that deserve it , like if anybody that is selling games that they didn't buy in the first place?!

btw , in case anybody needs to know , I posted this in the thread instead of just pm-ing Vel because I wanted people to see what I knew about the whole Sierra thing.

Dang. I was looking forward to playing the final version because I had finally found what I initially thought was the full game but it turned out to be the demo....anyway I'm a big Garfield fan and was hoping to play the full game , it always ticks me off when people get in trouble over things like this because it's not really hurting anyone so why is it such a big deal? *sighs*

he sees this and I'm sorry in advance that this has nothing to do with Garfield but I didn't want to annoy everyone by making a seperate thread because Raku's comment is in this thread...any way - Raku : I just joined the forums over at the website that used to be Tierra ( it's now called some thing like "anonymous game developers" ) and asked about the KQ parody. They told me that they did stop work on it and from what I can tell they don't have any plans on restarting it any time soon , may be not even ever.
So , no , Josh Mandel nor any one else is going to be doing the voice for King Graham in a Tierra / AGD KQ parody because they abandoned the project. I don't know about any other KQ parodies but , again , Tierra / AGD will not be making one.  Mmmkay?  Sorry to sound gripey but it annoys me when people imply that I'm wrong about some thing when I am pretty darn sure I'm right.

I've been through some funny / awful stuff , usually stuff that could've resulted in my death , but I never really considered adventure-like before.

1. One day we were at a fair and even though I never learn my lesson , I go to funhouses. Any way , in this one fun house , at the end , there's a big circle like thing and the operator was making it spin. I didn't know before that it spun so when I go the end with my dad and saw that it was spinning now , I hesitated going across , then I tried to jump , but ended up falling and yelling for help ,  I guess somebody called to the operator or some thing because it finally stop and I eventually got out , I ended up with scraped knees though.  *blush*
2. I almost drowned once because there was a sudden undertow or something and I was far out in the water. My brother had to save me.
3. I once stupidly got the idea to clean a pot...porpurii (sp.) you know the nice smelling stuff? Well nothing was making a nice smell in it and there was stuff in there and I turned on the faucet and put it under the pouring water....Bad idea! The house started filling with smoke ( not really the sort you could see ) and I started feeling sleepy and coughing , my brother had to save me again and opened doors and windows to air out the house.
4. I had another "my heart was in the right place but apparently my brain wasn't" sorta thing , I was assuming too much and was walking Buddy ( chihuahua )  , when it was time to go back and I tried to get back in the house , it turned out that I had locked myself out ....I couldn't find a key anywhere and had to go over and ask help from neighbors to call a locksmith ,  other than extreme embarrassment and learning to hate locksmiths ( they only cared about the money and made a big deal about things...I felt bad enough...geeze ) , everything went well though. ( I assumed that we had an extra key under the mat or some thing so that's why I had locked the door in the first place...I wanted to walk Buddy since I was the only one there to do it and that was the usual time for his walk but I didn't want anybody angry at me for leaving the door unlocked while I was out. After all you never know when somebody could steal things once your back is turned. The other thing that I incorrectly assumed was that I could just get some money from my parents room or something to pay the locksmiths. )
5. One time I had to use a plier to open a door because there was no knob or anything and I don't remember who did it but the door was shut , I couldn't get it open when I tried with my hands and I found pliers and used them on the hole where the knob should've been.
