Messages - Questionable

This competition end in 24 hours. Last call for entries!! Some great ones in here so far!

I think you could stand greater contrast. At natural size it all gets muddled, zoomed in it looks great!

I think the reason Jim put those shoulder flare on him was to give him the idyllic T -shaped body of epic heroes! Nobody like a bland protagonist...

All I did was recolor him. I mainly just replaced the palette with higher contrast colors & colors of lower saturation:

I took away his mask, to see how he looked without out...  I think I like it better on. I don't really like the way it stops halfway. I think the diagonal lines need to go all the way across his mask. Also, I might consider making them mildly transparent. I had a problem with his feet too, but I wanted to focus on colors more than anything else.

OH I know!

I'm going through the chatlog and finding out who said what and I'm going to try and make it more clear and ultimately the full conversation will make sense... what we see here is the beginning of people hopping into Comic Chat and so we were all a bit disoriented... will post more later... Sorry for the flustercluck.

Comic Chat is an IRC client that replaces the standard chat interface;

Bob: Hello everyone
Everyone: Hi, bob!

with comic characters!  What you're seeing is part of a chatlog using Comic Chat.

A few hooligans logged into AGS IRC Using MS Comic Chat 2.5 and the results were mildly hilarious. I'm still working on putting it all together but it starts like this:

What do you mean with fluidly? You can click around to shift the view. That's about it, I think. It takes objects away while panning because they take too long to render.

Like I want to setup the camera in the corner of the room... I guess that's not possible with this, though. =P

Does anybody know if it's possible to position the camera a bit more fluidly one floorplanner.com? I can't figure it out.

Incorporate abuse of powers somehow.

Um, nice interface and I like the tracer effect on the character, but what exactly are you asking for criticism on in regards to this room? Maybe I'm missing something, but all I could do was pick up the particle on the desk? From the screenshot I expected that you would keep walking through the doorways and off the sides of the screen only to appear at a different entrance to the same room until the particle appeared. If it's the room layout that you want feedback on, could you please describe the gameplay of it in a bit more detail?

Since it's work in progress the only thing I would point out in terms of artwork is that the scroll speed of the staircase should be slower than scroll speed of the room (walls). At the moment it seems to have the same parallax depth of the lamps.

Seconded

P.S. I will edit this post when more information is given.

My Mom is an interior designer, she said she's used these two in the past but they didn't do what she needed. I don't know anything about them:

The Japanese live longer than anybody and spend less per person on medical care; how inconsiderate of them to live so long with out even trying ;).

See:
QuotePeople from the islands of Okinawa are reported to have the longest life expectancy in the world. This has in part been attributed to the local diet, but also to other variables such as genetic factors, lifestyle, and environmental factors.

Generally, the traditional diet.. is 20% lower in calories than the Japanese average and contains 300% of the green/yellow vegetables (particularly heavy on sweet potatoes). The Okinawan diet is low in fat and has only 25% of the sugar and 75% of the grains of the average Japanese dietary intake.[1]  The traditional diet also includes a relatively small amount of fish (less than half a serving per day) and somewhat more in the way of soy and other legumes (6% of total caloric intake). With exception of pork, almost no meat is consumed; virtually no eggs or dairy products are consumed either.[3]  Okinawans include pork in their diets. However, the fat content of the pork is eliminated; prior to the preparation of the pork, the fat is boiled off.

Healthcare is not the be-all end-all when it comes to life expectancy, this is why life expectancy by itself is not considered an accurate barometer of a countries "healthiness." If we all ate like that, and danced and laughed daily (as is apparently Okinawan culture) I'm sure we would be a healthier country, but we don't and so we need to revitalize a functioning but sub-prime system of healthcare.
