Ice station zebra?

I thought it would take more than that.  Good job.

What gave it away?

I'm disappointed it didn't occur to me earlier.  Your response turned on the lightbulb.

Is it a real movie or is there a gimmick to these?

It looks rather pretty for such a grim scene.

The only flooded NY scene I can recall is from A.I. but I think it was much more bleak looking.

Cool.  I'm only familiar with the Leone Spaghetti Westerns so perhaps I need to expand my horizons.

I won't get a chance to post a new entry for a couple of days so be patient everyone.

I don't have an issue with the mismatch.  I just think that the background art is so nice looking at its resolution that it's a shame you didn't attempt to do characters in hi res as well.  I don't really understand why low-res sprites would be less work than hi res sprites.  I mean pixel by pixel, yes, but it looks like you're moving toward a more painterly style.

Yeah 12 Monkeys is probably the most perfect time-travel movie.  But I also love Vertigo.  It's always had a spot in my all time top 5.

In a similar spirit to that sneaky challenge:

Well. There's no question that it's Vertigo.  But it could be a scene within a scene as they watch Vertigo within 12 Monkeys.

So... 12 Monkeys?

I like the revised colour scheme.  To me it feels more like a sepia-toned photograph that gives it a vintage feel rather than being bright and cheerful.  I don't the Lovecraft story to say whether or not that is appropriate.  But watch-out for requesting this kind of feedback before Darth Mandarb says this belongs in the critic lounge.
