I've been reading a lot about Cajun and creole cooking.  We should make a jambalaya on the first night.  It's apparently pretty simple.

Yeah jambalaya is one of my go to recipes for a simple one pot meal.  But it does require a lot of spices that you might not want to buy when you're only staying at a place for a week.

... would a fishing computer game be acceptable to both sides or would the way you feel about sport fishing in real life affect the way you would feel about it in a computer game?

Man, you can't please everyone. Some people will see harm in the mere depiction of fishing as sport.  So be it.

I think the tranquil setting and slowness of fishing is its primary appeal so I don't think it would make a very compelling computer game. But the right game could certainly prove me wrong.

I haven't fished since childhood when my father would take my brothers and I on fishing trips at different lakes in the region.  I liked the camping and the canoeing but didn't really like eating fish back then so I was ambivalent to whether or not we ever caught anything.  And though I haven't fished as an adult I mostly expect I'd feel the same way (although I do enjoy eating it now).  It's not entirely harmless of course but to me it's less objectionable than speedboats and jet-skis.

It's not a Bond movie but it was released the same year as The Man with the Golden Gun.

1a. I'd be interested in participating, provided the timing suits me: yes

2a. The best time period for me would be: Anytime after June 14
2b. The ideal duration of the activity for me would be: Not sure.
2c. On average, provided that the timing suits me, I would probably be able to spend this many hours peer week during it: Let's say 8-12 hours a week.

3a. I feel comfortable with the concept of composition when it comes to paintings (as in giving and receiving critique regarding it): Yes
3b. I feel comfortable with the concept of values when it comes to paintings (as in giving and receiving critique regarding it): I understand the impact of value but have no clue how to achieve it.  I tend to work very closely with reference material and have difficulty deviating from its lighting regardless of how it may improve a composition.
3c. I feel comfortable working with thumbnails when it comes to paintings: yes.
3d. I feel comfortable giving critique in general regarding other's pieces: I tend to shy away from providing critique when my own work is not especially remarkable.

4a. I would be interested in providing a tutorial in some area:  If others thought there was something in my work that warranted a tutorial, I would oblige.
4b. I would be interested in participating/help in some other area:  Sure.

Wouldn't mind doing another one, perhaps a less ambitious version.

Ooh, I've been hoping that would be resurrected.  Just don't do it in June or I won't be able to participate.

Breaking Away is correct.  The first shot is from when the father returns for a visit to the stone cutting mill.
