I'm not Austrailian but would be interested in attending if timing was right.Ã,

I'd like to go. I've got the money and I've got the time.

Excellent, Chrille.  I look forward to seeing you again.  Drop me a PM when you get a chance.

I'm planning to book on the first of February so I'd like to know how many people are attending by then.  We may be able to accomodate latecomers but there's no certainty.

Sorry to hear that Petteri.  I'm sure I'll see you again the next time Mittens is on your side of the Atlantic.

Helm, M0ds...sorry to hear that you two can't make it.  I was looking forward to seeing each of you again.

Since some people are reluctant to commit until they know who else is going, I'll maintain an updated list of confirmed attendees in the first post of this thread.
#628
So far no one has firmly committed although I imagine there's still a fair amount of interest.

I understand your reluctance to commit when no one else has but someone has to be the first.    I'm coming for certain (and it's no small trip for me either), Mattgoble seemed ready to put his money down, there's a fair number of Ontario locals who have no good excuse not to come...  It may be a group of 10 rather than 30 I really don't know.

Th... That was me right?

I suppose you did PM me regarding the deposits before any method was established to actually transfer money.  Since I updated the thread with some methods...nada.

Only 1 person has PM'ed regarding the deposits I asked for back in November.Ã,  So no cottage has been booked to date.Ã,  It may seem early to start thinking about these things but the window of opportunity is closing.Ã,  My first choice is now completely booked for the month of July and the availability of others is also declining.Ã,  The dates that I initially specified may need to be revised because of this.Ã,

So again, please PM me to make arrangements for a deposit so that I can secure a suitable site for this year's Mittens.

Thank you,
Darren

General Discussion / Re: Blood donors?
Mon 22/01/2007 14:12:08
The first time I donated blood I met an older lady who had donated over 100 times and some competitive streak in me said:  "If you start donating regularly now at 20, you'll totally beat her record."  And so I donated regularly every 8 weeks which was the minimum recovery period between donations.  It was very convenient while I was in University as the clinic was on campus.  I even amped it up at one point and started donating plasma which only required a 1 week recovery period betweeen donations.  Since graduating from university my donations are sporadic.

For me the worst part about donating was the screening questionairre.  Twenty questions about my sexual history when I just needed a box that said "None of the above".

General Discussion / Re: Classic car drivers?
Mon 04/12/2006 14:21:54
I'm restoring a 1972 VW Type 3 SquarebackÃ,  but it won't be on the road until Spring of '08.Ã,

My daily driver is a 1987 Honda Civic Wagon.Ã,  It's a bit of a cult classic but most people who see mine ridicule me for it.Ã,

With regards to paying deposits:

Canadian Banks have a service called Interac E-mail Money Transfer for transferring money from one account to another. There is a charge of ~$1.50 for the sender.

I'm not certain if it's available through international banks but I'm looking into it.Ã,

<Edit>  This option is only available through Canadian banks.  Please see first post for more details.

Okay...okay...maybe this end of year deadline needs to be revised. Ã,

In my work situation, the earlier I decide I want a specific week off the easier it is to get approval but I guess this is not true for all.

To me March seems late but I'm a bit of a worrier and like to book things early to assure availability. Ã, For now I'll push the deadline back to the end of January so that people are at least booking vacations within the same calendar year.

I'm currently working on a collision box editor in AGS.Ã,  The user defines collision boxes for each frame of a view and the corner coordinates are written to a .dat file.Ã,  Prior to a fight sequence the .dat file is read so that the coordinates can be used for collision detection.

Here's a screenshot where I was testing the collision detection:

Currently the code is specific to my own game but I should be able to generalize it over the weekend so it can be released as a downloadable module.

Just thought I'd let you know that your code worked perfectly when I cut and paste it into my script.Ã,

When I tried to tweak it a little, it stopped compiling properly so there is still some gaps in my understanding but I think the example will serve well in the future.

Thanks again.

Wow, Monkey.Ã,  Thank you for putting in so much effort to help me with this.

I'll try implementing your solution tonight and let you know tomorrow how it worked out.
It seems closer to my original intent that the workaround that I'd been devising today.

I also appreciate the linked threads as it would be nice to achieve a better overall understanding of these things.

I used your Pointers for Dummies tutorial while writing this code but I guess it wasn't quite dumbed down enough for me.Ã,  Ã,  I try to emulate sample code without truly understanding what everything does.

I don't really follow the difference between a struct and a managed struct.

Writing a plugin to address these issues is probably too far beyond my current level of understanding.
#640
Dang...

So a plug-in is possible to handle user defined structs within structs?
