Armageddon: You've got about two months to get one together for the bake sale. That's like two MAGS! Or eight OROWs! Plenty of time, if you ask me.  ;)

Hm, I might actually do that.

...to the Thinking Hat! Awaaaay!

I would totally play this for the articles.

I had in the past decided to not have any translated versions of this game, but Bela Selmeci has managed to convince me otherwise. Therefore, a Hungarian translation is in the works, thanks to him. Since this means changing some of the code to accomodate translations, I'll be taking this opportunity to fix the reported bugs, too.

Stay tuned!

That depends on a number of things.

Are you selling just one scene, or is it part of a larger work? If the latter, and the rest of your work doesn't resemble the original, you can make a claim under fair use.

Is the scene a straight copy, or are you modifying it, perhaps to parody? Parodies are generally an exception to copyright law.

Do the figures resemble the original actors? See th above.

Do you live in the US? Because if you do, a big company has more legal clout (and money) than you do, and that may prove problematic if they want to take you to court or C&D you.

There's a Let's Play of Ultima 5-7 which is hilarious,

Also, the end of the most famous KQV let's play with the life Cedric act...

While I love time travel stories, I seriously don't have time for a MAGS this month. Perhaps my future self will write it at some point. Warthogs II, anyone?

I was happy to hear earlier this year that a LP has been made for A Tale of Two Kingdoms. It's on Youtube, but I made an embedded link.

I'd love to see that!
Google up "Crimson Echoes". It got C&D'ed, but there's a mostly-complete debug build on the internet somewhere.

You can code an RPG (and, for that matter, a tile engine) perfectly well in the scripting system of the current versions of AGS.

TSOMI has a very good combat system.

And yeah, I'm not too fond of action sequences in adventure games. For a player, the main problem is that they tend to be poorly designed; for a designer, the main problem is that they appeal to a wholly different audience.

This link doesn't work any more.

Fixed with new, working link. Thanks for spotting that!  :)

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the other links in the OP that point to MediaFire don't work either. I think it's one of those sites that deletes your files if nobody downloads them for a month.

I like the idea, but I'm unlikely to travel to London for just one day.

I'm not going to have an entry for this. Lack of time, and all that.

King's Quest 1, Space Quest 1, essemtially all the old Sierra games around the 1984ish timeframe.

Ditto. KQ3 and SQ2 were my first, it took me a little while longer to find the predecessors. Not that I ever completed any of them at that age, mind you. Since walkthroughs weren't readily (or at all) available back then, I think I eventually got through most of them on my own and with friends, although never with full points.

My parents never had a problem with LSL1, although they strongly disliked Wolfenstein, apparently on grounds that seeing a swastika can magically brainwash you into becoming a nazi, or something. Come to think of it, LSL1 doesn't seem to have any content that a child would be bothered with; it has some content that a child won't understand, but that's not the same thing.

> He needs to prove himself to the people around him.

And he never gets treated any better until the endgame movie, even if he's spent the previous two-three games saving those very people that don't like him.
