If I recall correctly, try doing it right before you change into your bikini top.

I'm with Radiant on the question of why the "Offer Your Service" was moved there.   It doesn't seem to make sense to me at all, since the "Recruit a Team" thread was left alone in the Chat forum?

I don't know why the "offer your services" thread was moved there. I think it's even less noticable there, and will cause even more confusion. I would rather see it as a sticky in the gen gen forum, since this is the forum most people visit and that way it will most likely be seen

So, since nobody has been able to explain this so far, can we get a mod to move that one back please?

The others are just mocking you because you forgot the second K in "Heartbreakid".

Really? I thought he was part of the family with heartbreakego and heartbreaksuperego.

I'd be more than happy to package this in a .deb file, and submitting it to various Linux game sites.

That would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

(please ensure you have the latest version, v1.2, and please include a short file that points to crystalshard.net )

Yeah, I get that part, and I see how the forum basically contains "overdone threads that most forum regulars really don't care about", but I still fail to see what "offer your services" is doing in there.

Actually, I had been wondering why "offer your services" had been moved. It's not really a "popular" perennial answer-your-stuff thread, but part of the adventure design structure on these boards.

Imho.

Not too confident in it's completion though (it's been around for years, and not updated in a year and a half) which suits me just fine since the series is stellar as-is.

That's an interesting point...

Does anyone know what is up with Hero/6? Or Heroine's Quest, Katrina's Tale, and whatever else we used to have as QFG sequels or fangames?

Older versions of Guest for Glory I & Guest for Glory II should be freeware.

No they aren't. Regardless of what you think "should" be freeware, games only are freeware if the copyright owner knowingly and willingly allows them to be freely distributed. Vivendi owns the copyright, and they are absolutely not that kind of company.

While I applaud the enthousiasm, I believe there are two problems with what you're trying to do:

First, most people do not own Neverwinter Nights and have no intention of buying it, and therefore will not be able to play your remake.

And second, it is a genre mismatch. Quest for Glory is, at the bottom, an adventure game. If you put this in an RPG engine, you will probably find that this reduces the scope of the adventure elements (because of the way the engine works) and either add more RPG elements from NWN (in which case it won't be QFG any more) or not use the existing NWN elements (in which case it is "weird" for an NWN mod).

Nice.

The white title ("starcraft 2 fansite") looks out of place.

The menu bar on the left is too tall - specifically, the "help" and "links" sections at the bottom fall off the screen. They don't appear to be necessary, either; the blue menu already has a links button.

I'd suggest putting slightly more of a border around the posts, considering the post background is as black as the page background.

Is it correct that the SayBackground() function does not in fact play speech samples?
#3155
Have you tried the Repeatedly_execute_always() function?

Note that the shield is optional.

There's more than one shield in the room. Try the one at the bottom right corner.

Re keyboard movement - there's a keyboard movement module already, maybe that should be added in the default game template?
Yes, I think that would be a nice idea.

Moving the main character with the cursor arrows is only a nice extra - however, invoking the GUI by keyboard presses (W=walk, T=talk, etc) is essential for LucasArts and VerbCoin GUIs (and a nice extra for Sierra ones). Hence, I would appreciate this being in the standard template. It's only a couple of lines, after all.
