Requiem by Faure, IIRC.

Well, a variation thereof, anyway. The cheerful notes at the end don't belong there.

That is why they don't exist in the CHA format. It would be a copyright violation to include those sprites in your game. That is why I provide the juncSource Collection (http://www.juncmodule.com/downloads/juncSourceCollection.zip) as a "Collection of sprites for use as templates."
Er, I'd hate to nitpick, but putting them up as sprites is just as much a violation of copyright, and just as much an incentive for other people to use them as such. Releasing a ripping tool is not a violation, releasing or using ripped sprites is.

For that matter, nearly everything related to Maniac Mansion Mania is a blatant violation of copyright.

Really? I thought it was 70.
As I recall, when some of Disney's copyrights were about to expire they started a lengthy lobbying campaign to extend the period. This was eventually succesful. It will likely be increased again within the decade.

It is the SCI version, the one the Tierra based there games off of.
Oh that's funny, I still have the LOADER version somewhere around. That's the version that predates actual AGI, and comes on a 5.25" boot disk. Not that I can run it or anything :)

It's the same as the AGI but with some quirks. It doesn't use F1-F10, but rather uses the number keys for save, restore, etc. It doesn't have popup text boxes, but the text appears in the bottom area of the screen, word by word. The screen flashes a bit when being drawn when you enter a room, thus you can see what the "objects" are because they appear last. The parser allows you to do all kinds of dumb things like throwing away the treasure, an issue which was dropped in the AGI version because it's just asking for dead ends. Oh yeah and Graham's walking anim doesn't stop cycling when you walk into a wall.

Most importantly, it has better music/sfx than any AGI game, nearly but not quite on par with the earlier Lucasfilm games. I have no clue why Sierra decided to change that part.

Any relation to the Infocom classic adventure known as "Trinity"?

Hm...

This obviously means I'll have to update META at some point :)

Is it abandonware?
That depends on the definition you're using, but regardless of whether you call something "abandonware" or not, it remains copyrighted for approx 95 years after the death of the author (no, I'm not kidding) and it would be illegal to download it until then.

Someone please post the walkthrough  ???
Do you have any specific questions?

In my experience high resolutions cause slowdown (e.g. 640x480 and up) as do using too many RawDraws, and using translucency (not mere transparency) mainly in windowed mode; full screen seems mostly unaffected by that. I coded most of ATOTK on a 350 MHz machine and I'm not overly worried about performance. META gets a tad slow at times, but it runs in 800x600.
#3551
Probably not. Portal is a beginner's set and not worth overly much, considering most of the cards in that set won't be played by any serious player. If you got lucky with the rares they may be worth a few dollars each. If you didn't, the entire collection would be worth a few dollars per hundred cards or so. I might suggest eBay.

Sure you can do it with a fullscreen object, just give it a baseline near the top of the screen, and make it ignore walkbehinds.

If everyone else was jumping off a bridge would you do it too?
No, I would film it and post it on Youtube.

I'm not sure where else to post this, so here goes.

If I log in and then make a post, I get the error that "my last post was less than 20 seconds ago", assumedly because I logged in less than 20 seconds ago.

If I wait a bit and post again, i get the error that "I already posted that". Even though I didn't.

Minor quibble perhaps, but still.

Breaking it up in manageable chunks tends to help. Also, chocolate.

Most windows versions are intended to "slowly die" so as to compel you to buy the next version. This can usually be temporarily fixed by reinstalling.
