When compiling Heroine's Quest under AGS 3.6.0.47 and Windows 11, I get a popup from Windows Security, which then proceeds to delete the game executable.

Detected: Behavior:Win32/DefenseEvasion.A!ml
Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.
file: C:\Heroine's Quest\Compiled\Windows\RCX976A.tmp

Asking for more info sends me to this microsoft page, which isn't helpful.

Does this look familiar to anyone? This has not happened with earlier versions of AGS. I can of course overrule windows security on this, but I'm worried that other players of the game will get the same error.

@Snarky thank you for the heads-up!

The same goes for me; I have no unplanned free days left for this year.

There will be much rejoicing!

Quote from: eri0o on Sun 06/11/2022 23:02:50Oh, I really like the last scene and that little bird! Curious on the music for these scenes! :)
Thank you! We haven't actually recruited a composer yet, I should get to that this month.

It's nice to hear that this still exists. I'll keep an eye out, but I don't have a lot of free days so can't promise anything.

Hmmm, I'm tempted to write a Pacman game now...

In the legends of King Arthur, meet Sir Launcelot the Brave! Sir Sagramore the Just! And Sir... Bob... who I'm sure has a great personality!

Take the role of the eager but clumsy squire Bob; as nobles, soldiers, and the Lady of the Lake all say you're too wimpy to become a Knight. Can you prove them wrong?

This lighthearted adventure game features well-known and lesser-known characters from the King Arthur legend, taking inspiration from the famous classics and offering fun for all ages. Any similarity to any person actually named Bob, or for that matter Launcelot, is purely coincidental.

A work in progress. Art and animation by Fizzii, story and script by yours truly.

Quote from: Ali on Tue 01/09/2020 17:45:19What I have noticed in the last years is increasing prevalence of conspiracy theories with a sprinkling of ethno-nationalism.
That's precisely why I don't stick around. I have not personally witnessed the efforts to "tackle" that, but such topics are flat-out prohibited in certain other forums I frequent.

(although I do check the competitions forum monthly, to see the new MAGS rules on the off chance that I have time for a MAGS; and I have an adventure game in the plans that I want to work on this year)

Is it ironic that I've forgotten to check the MAGS at the beginning of this month? Because I usually do, for inspiration...

My profile used to have a subtitle tag for helping with the AGS Bake Sale charity, as well as for attending several Mittens events. And now it doesn't; what's up with that?

Wow, that is sad news!

Ghost, it was a pleasure to have worked with you, and I'm very sorry to see you go.

Well,

+ Released this game, not AGS though.
+ Finally managed to travel off the continent again.
- Had a rather nasty breakup several months ago.
- I'm probably spending too much energy on work, the balance is all off.

...and happy new year, everyone.

Nice theme.

What are the current rules on pre-existing resources? Any? Trove only? Templates and sound effects only? None?
#93
I'm going to say Ultima VI. And possibly Ultima V and VII, but I played those later.

#94
One of the more original ideas I've seen in awhile! We'll have to see if I have sufficient inspiration this month

This is the correct place to report bugs. Thank you, I'll fix this in the next release.

I'm afraid I hadn't heard of that build before. Where can I find it?

A player reports that AGS games run unreasonably slow under lubuntu 16.04.6 lts, using a gfx hd6670 graphics card. Does this sound familiar to anyone and if so, what could be done about it?

He's possibly related to this guy,

I played the first maze (Pieter's Maze) and it was a lot of fun! Really well done and polished graphics and gameplay. It took most of the night to get the song out of my head  ;)
Thank you! You mention "CRASH!" in your comment, did you mean the character goes poof, or the game crashes? If the latter, please tell me what message you get? I've been unable to reproduce it so far.

after exploding too much the character started to walk up all the time without me pressing the up button. my keys are not locked or broken, so this is probably a bug.
Hm, that's weird; there's nothing in the code that should do that. Does it stop when you tap the 'up' key once?

When adding a game and typing in the credits, IE gives the following error, and the credits end up being textual only and not linked to the forum account by that name,
