I suppose that depends on your definition of "background" and of "adventure game"  Does Planescape: Torment count?

A Tale of Two Kingdoms has 64 rooms. Heroine's Quest has 103, not counting the generic forest/cave rooms (which are technically all the same room :) ). Note that some rooms have multiple backgrounds, and that some backgrounds are actually GUIs instead of rooms, bringing the total amount of backgrounds to 125.

I'd prefer a weekend, I probably don't have time for more than that.

Thanks to Simone Secchi and Janos Biro, Errand is now available in Italian and Portuguese as well. Enjoy!

I'm looking for a non-adventure game (sorry). It was a 2d, DOS game. You were in a stationary bunker or something in WW2 and planes came in (these were probably very simple 3d). You had to shoot them down. It was kinda first person. You could turn the gun 360 degrees I believe. Any ideas any one? I specifically remember the planes made a nice 'pop' effect when you got them, almost like balloons. And they would break into a bunch of little pieces.
Paratrooper.

What time frame are we looking at? Perhaps something in May?

Vaalserberg is much nicer than Rotterdam though! :D

> Tactfully tell the lady to come back next year.

Given the current state of our finances (or lack thereof), we really can't afford to splurge fifty silver on a new robe.

Well, I had some nice ideas for a game on reincarnation, but not enough time this month to do anything MAGS'y. We'll see about March.

Eversion comes highly recommended...

Sorry to say this, but there appears to be another bug in importing games from AGS2.7. When importing a GUI named (e.g.) SAVE, its internal name should be set to gSave (which is a pointer to the GUI, whereas SAVE is a constant containing the number of the GUI). Instead, the internal name is set to SAVE, causing compiler errors on any lines such as "if (IsGUIOn (SAVE)) ..."  This did work in earlier release candidates.

Excellent!

But yet, I look for another. This one is based in space. It is in first person view. The player starts in a ship, and has to escape from it. There's noone on board. When the player get out, the ship is landed on a planet (before one can get out, theres a space suit that has to be worn). The player then goes to an alien building (I suspect its a bar). Later, one has to escape from the aliens. One has the abiity to see from top, on a schematichs kinda view; sometimes the aliens catch you and shot you.
That sounds like Space Quest I, really :)

So where's the Green game? And do we have any tea-related games?
#1000
Yes; we became aware of that shortly after the game's release, and have fixed it in v1.1 (which is now available). The newest build has, to our knowledge, no deadlocks or walking dead situations.

(note that telling Regin you won't do his quest won't turn him off; he'll believe and outright say that you'll probably do it anyway, and indeed you can)
