Domino, your post just about made me cry.   :'(

I'm so sorry that your buddy is sick.  But maybe there is hope that it isn't cancer, maybe it's just a little cyst or something.

Either way, I hope that everything turns out okay, but when the time comes, we'll all be here for you.   :)

Thanks for all the nice responses  :)

BOYD, I'm glad your dog is in such good shape, and the vet's predictions didn't turn out to be true.  Yes, it's always best when they go on their on terms.

There are two things that make my case easier to deal with, and that is a) Cappy isn't in any pain now, and b) I've been prepared for this for a while now.  That alone makes it easier, instead of something happening when they're still young.

General Discussion / Bye, Captain

Last night I had to have my collie, Captain, put to sleep.  He was 13 years old and he had gotten cancer.  He wasn't eating very much, and was getting to the point that he couldn't get up or down very well.  So it was best for him, so he wouldn't suffer.

It's very sad for me, because he's been my best doggy friend since I was five years old.   :'(

Still, I've got two of his puppies and his mate, so I'm not alone dog wise.

I can tell they're upset too, because they keep looking around for him.

I know this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but up close it still hurts.

That's one of the grosser things I've seen in my life.

How does that man even move his arms and legs??

Yay, the copy of Ed Wood's "Bride of the Monster" I bought off eBay came today!

I'll watch it and fill you in on the horror of it all!!!!! (Though, not horror in the way Mr. Wood hoped it would be, I'm sure.)

Snakes on a Plane - ITS MOTHAFUCKIN TERRIBLE MOTHAFUCKA! (sorry for swearing, it was the icing on the cake! :))

I found it quite enjoyable, just as a fun ride.  Nothing more, just a fun movie.  Plus I love snakes anyway.   ;D

So you think you've seen the worst movie ever made?  Was it so bad it's hilarious?  Post it here!

I've taken some sort of strange interest in finding out the worst movies ever created, the ones that try so hard to be great but end up being unintentionally hilarious.    ;D

Of course, I have to say that the champion is Plan 9 From Outer Space, by the beloved Ed Wood Jr.

Another one of my favorites is The Beast of Yucca Flats.  (Both of those are availble for watching on Google Videos.)

Let's see, another one that is just painful is Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

And the WORST I've seen is probably Manos: The Hands of Fate, by Texas fertilizer salesman, Hal Warren.  Simply awful.  It's not even fun to make fun of.

Anybody seen these?  Got any more suggestions?

I'm not quite sure what you were talking about with the women being sexy empowered thing.

Could you put it another way?

I think there've been a couple other threads like this, but they got locked if I remember correctly.Ã,  Maybe this one will avoid that fate.

Luke Lockhart, you were a member of the forums back then?  What was your screen name then?

I'm just shocked at how stupid some of my own posts were.   :o

I remember a pinball game for like SNES or something, and it was set on pinball tables infested with aliens... Can anybody remember that game?

It wasn't Balls of Steel, was it?  (Duke Nukem, of course!)

General Discussion / Pinball (real and PC)

It kind of seems like pinball tables are a thing of the past.Ã,  I hardly ever see them around.Ã,  It used to be every game room, and even the occasional pizza place had at least one.

I would love to see them return, as I've always been a huge fan of the game.

For now, I just have to settle for PC pinball games.Ã,

What's the best pinball computer game you've played?Ã,

I bought the Pinball Madness 3 collection pack off eBay last year, and I really enjoy the tables there.Ã,  I think the ProPinball by Cunning Developments is probably the best thing that ever happened to PC pinball.Ã,

What are your recommendations?

Several years ago when we were on EzBoard, things were a whole lot more relaxed. Ã, I was probably about 13 years old when I joined, and I never felt intimidated, and I was never attacked. Ã, Perhaps one of the reasons for the relaxed atmosphere was simply the smaller size of the forums. Ã, Kind like a small town; everybody knew everybody.

That's not the case now. Ã, We see new people coming in everyday, and that's not neccesarily a bad thing. Ã, The golden rules we have here are good in theory, but are hardly ever enforced. (Perhaps a bad thing for a forum of this size.)

Is this because there are so many people breaking them? Ã, I don't think that's the case, because how come there aren't threads like this one popping up all over the place?

I tend to agree that the rules aren't being enforced enough. Ã, I think many try to be on their best behavior, and then one somebody breaks the rules, it really stands out like this, because it doesn't cease.

I think TVD should definately be welcome here, if he's sincere about reforming his behavior. Ã, But if he, or anybody, continues to break the rules without regard to anybody else, shouldn't there be some sort of action taken? Ã, What's the point of having the rules in the first place then?

Once you're in, you step over the line just once...AND YOU'RE OUT!

I think we'd all be out then.  Maybe we could have a three-strikes-and-you're-out rule.  That way if you keep doing something you're told not to do over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, you'll get reprimanded strictly.

Don't know, and don't care.

Will this thread be locked?

Do you want it locked?

You can't trust anything these days.

This is why I don't use AGS anymore, because somebody overseas named CJ kept charging stuff on my credit card.
