Sun 04/07/2004 15:50:46
Yes, have an explosively happy 4th!!!   :D

But unfortunately for me, I've got a cold!!!  I think this must be the first time I've been sick on the 4th of July.

Anyway, happy 4th the rest of you Americans!!

The idea of calling a store and saying buttplugs isn't funny by itself.   It's the combination of the clerk being unable to understand him and the fact that the guy wouldn't say ANYTHING else but buttplug.

Ahhh, I found it on eBaum's World and laughed my butt off.  (No pun intended)

I personally have it on the Harddisk and listen to it frequently.  Uh, buttplug, yeh.

... it could be worse I suppose.

That's a beautiful place Darth!!  I'm gonna move in with you!

Let's see.... It's cloudy outside and to the west I can see tree covered hills.  The hills level out to the south, to the east is a line of trees, which is the property line.  More trees block the view to the north.  Hehe, sounds kinda like a text adventure game  :)

Does everybody here have some major issues about Christians?? You know, there are lots of things discussed here. Sex, porn, drugs and what not, and then somebody mentions religion and it's like some terrible taboo!Ã,

It's not like we're FORCING you to get offended.Ã,  Don't click the button if you're just going to get offended.Ã,  But you WANT to be offended so you can tell us Christians how wacky we are and how normal you are!!Ã,

Don't jump down our throats for looking at this from a Biblical standpoint, just because you disagree.  I'm not gonna lecture you for calling the Bible a story book.

Well a huge volcanic eruption caused the plagues of Egypt. And it didnt harm the enviornment much. Maybe I can find an article.

"And the Lord said to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, over their ponds, and over their pools of water, that they may become blood. And, there shall be blood throughout the land of Egypt, both in buckets of wood and pitchers of stone."--Exodus 7:19.Ã,

And how can a volcano cause all the first borns of Egypt to die unless there was lamb's blood on the doorpost.Ã,

And I don't think that a shockwave could actually seperate the water long enough for the children of Isreal to cross and the suddenly drown the Egyptions once they went through: "Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land and the waters were divided.Ã,  So the children of Isreal went into the midst of the sea, on the dry ground and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left." Exodus 14:21-22

I suppose this is just as well since they haven't released any adventure games since 1996.  But it's still sad to see the company that launched computergaming closed.

Another interesting fact that goes along with what Darth said, is that girls (no matter what age) can dress like whores and then if guys check them out they're automatically perverts.

Wow, I should take a look at some of these.  I've always wanted to make a storm chasing game.   ;D  It'd be a cross between a driving sim and... well, storm chasing.

Ever wonder what CJ was doing or where he was at when HE concieved the idea for AGS???
#414
I think this thread should go into the popular thread forum.

I had been browsing the internet and had ran across AGS.  But I actually didn't download it the first time, I decided to go with AGI studio.  But then I couldn't get it to work for me and I remembered seeing this AGS thing on the internet and gave it a try.  And just like Darth, my life has never been the same.   I still remember drawing my first BG for it and everything.

Here is a piccy of the storm my original post was about:Ã,
Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,

I've actually only seen the sky like that a few times, it has to happen at just the right time during sunset. It makes the sky look like hell.

Awesome pic Raggit, do you have a higher res version?

Well, the clouds were slightly more orange in reality, but when I adjusted the contrast they became slightly more red.   The original isn't as grainy, but it didn't show up very good because of the camera flash reflecting off the drainpipe.

In the view in which he is facing the player, I might make his neck a little bit wider.  And, as you already know, shoes will make him look much better.  Shoes aren't hard to draw, just start simple and draw two squares at his feet and round them off at the end.

It is completely unedited.Ã,  Actually, I had to adjust the contrast and brightness etc...Ã,  But all the clouds are totally real.

PS, the white stripe across the upper corner of the screen was the edge of the roof.  Just thought you'd like to know that!  ;)

It wasn't until it was all over that we realized we were just standing there watching it.Ã,  Neither one of us even attempted to run into the house to the basement.

Haha, that's actually an easy thing to do.  It's like no matter how bad the storm is you just can't tear yourself away from watching.  Time and time again I found myself at the back door snapping pictures.   I've gotten some of my pictures touched up so they're visible.  Maybe I'll upload some.

Shabazjinkens,  we live inside the tornado alley map.  Thunderstorms, wall clouds and tornadoes are not uncommon here at all.  I meant they are uncommon for me and my family to see right out the window.  In my entire lifetime I've only seen one actual tornado and that was from the front porch.

I think the good Lord has spared us quite a few twisters!  :)
