@heltenjon and @Jay Dee: Thank you so much! I'm pleased you both liked my short demo!  :)
Hehe, yeah! The German villain was intented to be a funny and ridiculus villain.

Update 12/04/2025:
- Music 100%
- Graphics 95%
- Sound 11%
- Story 80%
- Programming 21%

Before working on the GUI, I need to include the voice lines and sound effects of the first demo so you can play a talkie-version of the demo.
Many things happened recently in my private life that's why my game made little progress.

Further updates will follow soon.

Update: thanks so much for voting my demo for the AGS Awards 2024 as Best Demo!

Quote from: Rik_Vargard on Sun 23/03/2025 22:30:02For the Best Demo Award, I totally got confused... first by the win and also by the fact that we were two  (laugh).
So I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to encroach on Ramorama talking.

So I'll say it here:

First, congratulations to my fellow winner @Ramorama  (nod)

@Rik_Vargard I'm sorry again, that I talked too much on stage. I thought there was enough time for both of us to write.
I was also confused like you by the win and by the fact we both won an award for the best demo.
Next time, I try to keep myself short so other winners also have enough time.

Here again, congratulations to my fellow winner @Rik_Vargard:)
I'll make a post about your demo on Bluesky and social media as well!

Update: aaaaaaaand... posted! :)

Please review the rules and updated your first post accordingly.

I've included another screenshot and reviewed the rules.

Update 07/01/2025:

I still need to adjust the Thumbleweed Template because it's not working the way I'd like it to.
My voice actors still need to voice all characters for the demo.
I need to include all the remaining sounds.

As soon as I have an updated demo of Temple of the Three Rules, I'll continue working on the full version.

I'm currently working on a new game called Temple of the Three Rules.
It was originally supposed to be an entry for the AdventureX Jam 2024, but couldn't meet the deadline, so I decided
to released it at least as playable short demo.

The original demo release was on November the 30th.
Now this game is still in production!

Here's the storyline:

The ruthless Baron von Protz had kidnapped the archaeologist Alice and her loyal assistant Bryton, spiriting them away to the depths of the untamed jungles of Central America.

With Alice's expertise, he aimed to claim the legendary treasure of Eitlcuaitl, rumored to lie hidden within its ancient pyramid. Shadows danced across the stone walls as the jungle's whispers pressed in, a reminder of how far from civilization they truly were. The stakes were grimly clear: if Alice refused to help, the baron would not hesitate to spill Bryton's blood.

As they stood before the pyramid's entrance, its weathered stones bore an eerie inscription in Aztec script - a warning, a challenge, perhaps even a curse. The words spoke of three unbreakable rules that all seekers of the treasure must obey:

Thou shalt not be greedy.

Thou shalt not deceive.

Thou shalt not steal.

The air was thick with tension and the scent of damp earth. Could Alice, with her wits and courage, outmaneuver Baron von Protz, or would their quest for the treasure become their undoing.

Direction, Story, Puzzles, Characters and Coding: Ramón Wilhelm

Animations and additional graphics: DuckMadeOfWood

Backgrounds and additional animations: Croqueta Asesina Studios

Music: Bertrand Guégan

Sound Designer: Maxim Grachev

The playable demo runs on Windows and Linux. You can find it on my itchio page here.

I'll keep you up with updates here.

Although it's still lacking some animations, I've finally submitted my $108 Adventure Challenge Entry - Gurk in Trouble - A Yip Quest Story.
It's a comedy fantasy spin-off of my game Yip Quest from last year. Best of all - it's 100% AI free!

Dive into the cartoon adventure of Gurk, the bumbling kobold who's the personal house servant and eternal laughingstock of the selfish and narcissistic wizard Banannan. As Banannan plots world domination, he sends the hapless Gurk on a task to collect three ingredients to fulfill his evil plan.

In this comedy adventure game inspired by "Day of the Tentacle," join Gurk as he stumbles through a series of absurd escapades. Can this well-meaning but clumsy kobold finally break free from the clutches of the self-absorbed Banannan and saves the world?

Thanks to my friend @lorenzo for testing my game.

I already congratulated privately and on Twitter, but I also want to say it here: The Legend of Skye is a fun game and I've enjoyed it a lot!
Some puzzles were too tricky, but still logical.

Good Work, Carles! Looking forward to play your next game. :)

Sorry, I'm not a fan of using "AI art". :(

Yip Quest

Play Raga, Ram and Kog, three kobolds who wants to steal the treasures from the castle, but have to find a way to fool the guard in order to get entrance to the treasury.

Raga (blue kobold) has not only wits, but has also an eye for details.

Ram (yellow kobold) has the strength of 10 kobolds and is the swashbuckler of the gang.

Kog (red kobold) loves to drink beyond his thirst and is the skinniest of them all.

This is a short point and click fantasy comedy mix with three kobolds. If you loved playing Gobliiins, you might love this adventure game as well.

This AGS game was made for the $107 Adventure Challenge jam in 2023.

I almost forgot to rate Books of Knowledge here as well!

Great graphics with good humor. I've enjoyed your game a lot! The puzzles make sense and it's fun to play. The dialogues with Karl are witty and hilarious.

Definitely one of my favorite 107 Adventure Challenge entries.

That's correct, but it's confusing for players who mostly save and reload via clicking on the menu buttons.

Hey @Creamy, sorry for my late reply.

Yes, you have all the important items but:
Spoiler
You have to do something to stick the hay together to form a wig.

Unfortunately, I did a mistake that prevents the game to save via GUI. I will fix that after the 107AdvChal voting.

Thanks for playing my game. I'm glad you like it!  :)
