I've...er...never "used Flash". Just played games on it. Where can you get it and how many months does it take to learn it?  :P

I know I didn't do my own version. I'm too lazy to look for ...er, I mean I can't find my mic/headset to sing into anywhere, but I have a really really really great suggestion for the next song! Is the winner the only one who gets to pick the next song or can I go?

LMFAO *reads Doom comic* Oh boy, this is funny. I havn't played the game in a while, I guess I chose mysterious adventure over insane corpus amounts of bloodshed and guts. :P But i remember back in Middleschool, after school we all used to play Doom in the computer lab of the school netword and it was halarious. You would appear on the spawning point and be blasted away by 3 of your buddies and when you came back to life they killed you at the same place.  >:( lol, but then I would just do the same to them. Oye, that takes be back.  *feels sick from the nostaglia* anyway, thanx for the flashback Steve.

You wouldn't believe it, but a few days ago Pres. Bush came to visit a city 15 away from the one Kerry rallied at. *rolls eyes* I think I smell a copy-cat. Both of them are trying to gather more votes in the "swing states" which were pretty close in the last election. Which basically means, Bush is going to be riding his big-ass bus and motercade wherever the Johns go.  :P

.......I read your response a few times and I can't understand if your making fun of politicians, me or yourself in that post. ?

But I didn't mean only presidents/presidential candidates exclusively. A lot of our other law-makers and such are corrupted too. (Cabinet officials, CIA/FBI gov workers, Senators/Reps) and so forth. I think one of the only branches of government I have some faith and trust in is the Supreme Court. And yeah, its really crap that we have to live with politicians who are crooks and liars. And that's precisely why we need to stop being tolerant of our leaders when they act wrongly and hold them more accountable. The freedom of information can only go so far, at some point we need to enforce action for corruptible behavior. Business executives are finally starting to feel the pressure, but how do we hold the government accountable? It's somewhat of a paradox.

Meh, I hate you all. I can't join in with the chats in reminissing about the old games ya'll played because I havn't. :S I've always wanted to play the first MI games (I've seen the last 2) and I never even heard of Loom. I checked it out on a websearch and it sounds....er....."special". Anyway, I STILL havn't played them because:

1. I don't know where to look for them (the only game store I know of is Best Buy and its almost an hour drive away. Aside from WalMart that is ...)

2. Don't have alot of adventure game playing friends who would have them/lend me them

3. How many more years are they going to keep squeezing money out of these ancient games until they release them for free on the net?

QuoteInstead, I would like to discuss this dynamic ability of the US to change out its leaders with each new embarrassment.   Where will this lead?

I don't understand what you mean by that...er....are you saying that when our leaders mess up...we SHOULDN'T  "change them out"? I thought it was a good thing. I mean, I don't really know if Bush is going to loose in this next election, but I think he needs to go. None of us can predict for sure if our next leader will (to use Darth's eloquitte term) "fuck up" big again in the future, but if its bad enough, we will throw them out too. Mabye one day a polotician will get the idea "Hmm....maybe I shouldn't lie and cheat because I'll loose my job if I do" and it will start a new trend. Who knows. But the only thing we can do is try our best to hold our poloticians responsible to their actions, or run for office ourselves.

Is every American stupid then?...okay, what about people who are visiting America, are they stupid? What about..er...if you were born in America, but you live somewhere else now. Like...say your Father is American but your Mother is Irish. Are you only half stupid, or does the USA blood override a less stupid nationality? What if.... *gets whacked over the head with a 2 by 4 and dragged out the door*

[to both remmies and InCreator]
do you know what happans when you write a paragraph and it keeps going on and on because you dont use any periods it is called a run on sentace it looks really er I want to say "unintelligent" but thats not really the right world dont get me wronge I am not trying to be mean or anything I just am trying to prove a friendly point I should call up both of your English teachers and have them yell at you shame shame. :P
#52
Sounds logical. Anyway, yeah. I knew that English takes many words from Spanish, Latin, French, and a whole bunch of different languages. Also, the structure of how we form our sentances is very different. Of course we have to do everything different from the rest of the world though...(like, what is up with not using the metric system? Anyway...) That is what makes it so hard to learn as a second language. Or so I hear... I'm rather dumb so I only know English. :P

Lol, yeah.  I would get sick of it. But methinks thou protests too much, lgm.  Just kidding. I agree with you that it does take forever to say anything at all, and most of the time when people speak the shakespearian way, they arn't saying very much of anything at all. Like that old granny lady would say, "Where the beef?!?!"  ??? I can't remember from which play it is from, but I remember a line going somthing like, "Enough. Less prose and more matter!" I think it was in Hamlet when he was talking to the Ophilia's father. Anyway, I just wanted to be silly, not serious at all. Although, I do resent gansta slang and hax0r nEtSpEaK. I think it is just retarded. I tried to learn latin once, actually. I lost patience with it as I always do. Maybe I should try ancient greek. :P Aaaanyway, I will close with these words of wisdom...."Get the to a nunnery!!"

on a small note....................JHONE KERRY VISITED MY TOWN!!! Just like a week ago! I took a billion pictures and touched his hand. I was, like, trying to shake his hand, but he already was shaking someone elses hand so that didn't really work that well and then he moved on. :S But anyway, how cool is that eh? And I live in a really really really really really small town. Its was a huge deal for us.

Dear sir, I doth reply in such a manner to ease mine inquiring mind. I do beseech thee, art thoue so graceous to perchance provide remedy to mine question? I say, dost thou approve of the suggested truth, which I must admit appeases my concious, that this tounge hath lost much grace in its prose? Aye, it doth appear much changed, but hath it truely grown? A rose mayest grow and blossom at its purest peek of health, but methinks instead, the tounge of which thou speak has decomposed like a rose in death. All bright hue faded away to leave the mere matter of its essance behind. Truely, it cannot be admired as an improvment, no? Praythee, speak thy mind?  [=P]

To the people who keep trying to put a stop to this discussion: if you don't like discussing this stuff, maybe you should just stop reading the thread?

I actually didnt' read most of the thread, save for the last page. And I don't exactly intend on participating in the debat....which mind you, is NOT the original purpose of this thread. If any of you remember, the author posted an artical he found amussing and wanted to share. Since then, the entire discussion has shifted not about the artical, but about what and who is right and wrong about religion.

People have been discussing religion since it was created, and people have been reforming it ever since the day after it was created. Everyone has an opinion about it, I'm sure. And if they don't, they should. Because it is, I agree, a very important topic. However, we can debate and curse and accuse and object on the subject of religion for hours, weeks and years until we fade away to dust. But you see, we are all just making the same points that have been made time and time again by those who debated before us.

I don't think anyone here is about to stand up and say, "Holy Crud! Your absolutly right. How foolish of my to think I was right, when it is perfectly clear your view makes more sense. Thank you for showing me the light!" Instead, I think people are starting to get angry and a little feirce. However, I may be wrong about that. Thats the only reason I suggested to end the thread. However, if that isn't the case, then by all means. Continue the debate. Thought I still do not see the point of it.

[Edit: Meh. After I posted I thought it wouldn't be right to post my opinion without reading everything. :S So I went back and read the whole thread (my head hurts now) and still agree with the points I states above. I also noted that a few other people suggested the same thing]

I havn't had the need to upload any pictures for a while, so I don't have any webspace or anything to show anything. *scratches head* What I mean is, I wouldn't remember passwords to them if I did. But I think someone should make a flying creature with wings and such.

I have a brilliant idea. How about we all just take a deap breath, agree that you are right, (you being, whoever is reading this post at this time) everyone else is wrong, and leave it at that. We can all stop posting, try and regain a little respect for the people we disagree with again and let this thread die a long, slow, horrible death as it sinks to the bottom of the list [page 96  :P] Who is with me? *gets bombarded by things thrown at him from the angry mob*

Umm.....so, does Sonic now have invisable hands and seethrough eyes and ears? Thats sort of creepy......unless he is wearing Leaf Contacts and Leaf colored hearing aids and...er...gloves with a pretty Leaf pattern to match.   :-\ CREEPY! I demand you fix.  :P

Well, let me take a look... *gets up and looks out window, holding a pad of paper and pen so he can report back. He writes down a few lines and sits back down to type*

Okay, so outside my window I see.....a tree. Oh, and a tree. And a bush. And then I saw a few more trees, a log, a stump...aaaaaaand....a tree. Beyond that, there are a few more trees....and then a big fat ol' rock. From there, it slops down rapidly for a short while before reaching the water. I loved sitting on that rock when I was little, and its nice because it doesn't face any houses or anything. I DON'T find houses pretty at all, but the lake is nice. Oh thats right, I didn't tell you that I lived on the shore of a lake.  Well, I live in Minnesota and its the State of 10,000 lakes........so that means everyone gets their own personal lake.   ;) Just kidding. I'm just special. Its called "Big Lake", by the way. I don't know why, because its awfully small.....oh well.
