Talk to Man in Car Window.

Pick up Brown Package.

Give Package to Man in Car Window.

View Cutscene.

II. Hospital


Examine Room.

Talk to Nurse.

Pick up Pen (on Nurses Desk).

Pick up Clipboard (on Nurses Desk).

Look at Clipboard in Inventory. Interact (use hand) with Clipboard.

Look at Clipboard again.

Use pen on clipboard.

Give forged document to Nurse.

Interact with Wallet in inventory.

Look at Driver' License.

III. Apartment


Talk with Land Lady.

Examine Outside Apartment.

Interact with Welcome Mat.

Touch Door or walk to mat to enter.

Once inside, examine apartment.

Pick up cellphone in kitchen. Keep interacting with cellphone until it goes

dead. Interact (using hand) with yellow pages to find Rob's office (open on

map screen).

Interact with toilet in bathroom until you receive plastic bag. Interact with

plastic bag. Give $300 to Landlady. After you hear about bar, go to yellow

pages. Interact (using hand) with yellow pages to find Bar (open on map

screen).

Pick up Lauren's photo in bedroom, off of nightstand. You'll need this later.

Leave apartment.

IV. Rob's Office

Speak with Robert.

Look at sherry bottle (half hidden under the desk).

Come back later.

V. Bailey's Pub

Talk to door.

Look at Lauren's photo in inventory. Receive message.

Talk to door again.

Touch door or walk near to enter pub.

Inside, talk to Bailey.

Take sherry bottle.

VI. Suspicion

Give sherry to Rob. Receive Jessica's picture.

Leave office.

Return to office, and ask for cash advance.

Take $500. Go back to apartment, and give to landlady.

Receive letter. Look at letter in inventory. Use yellow pages again to find

photo studio.

VII. Photo Studio

Talk to Brett.

Go back to apartment. Speak with Land Lady. Receive Package. Interact with

package in inventory.

Use DVD on TV inside apartment.

Go back to photo studio. Confront Brett. Ask where Jessica is staying.

VIII. Motel

Enter Motel. Examine Room. Leave.

Go back into Motel. Interact with cart until you receive room key. Enter door

in motel.

Interact with laptop, and learn of 3 questions.

IX. Three Questions

Birthdate #1: Speak with Rob. He will blow you off. Speak with Brett. Get

birthdate.

Nickname: Speak with Rob. Learn about relationship with Nurse Mary. Talk to

Nurse at hospital to get nickname.

Drink: Speak with Rob. He can't help further. Speak to Bailey in bar. Show

Bailey Jessica's picture. Get drink suggestion.

Birthdate #2: If you use laptop in motel at this point, you'll see you have

the wrong birthdate. Return to Rob, speak with him again, and get correct

date.

Go to motel. Interact with laptop three times, and watch cutscene.

X. Prison

Talk with Jessica, Lauren, and Shady Man.

Touch Lauren. Receive hairpin.

Use hairpin on lock box (between washing machines). Receive saw.

Use saw on stairs. Receive board.

Interact with light switches. Watch cutscene.

Examine unconcious man until you receive his cellphone.

Interact with his cellphone until you receive battery.

Use battery on your own phone.

Interact with phone. Watch ending!

how could I go to rob's office after I pay $300 to the land lady ?

Get the cellphone off the kitchen table. Interact with it in the inventory, until you get Rob's message. Then use the yellow pages.

yes, i have the nickname as well.  i talked to rob and the nurse again, but nothing? i have all 3 correct answers, i think:

Those are the right answers, so you shouldn't need to talk to anyone else. At that point, it should be that the laptop clicked three times in succession should get you to the next stage...

If that doesn't work, and its not too much trouble, we can also look at the saved game just in case there's some error.

Also, with the laptop, you have to click two or three times in sequence to progress (typing in the answers).

I have the answers (at least i think so), but i cant use the laptop... does the questionmark on the rhine-riesling note mean that i have to do something else with it?

i have this exact same problem. i have the rigth birthdate (the 2nd one you get).
i also have the note with rhine-riesling note with a question mark. i dont know what to do.

Do you have the third answer (the nickname)? If not, try talking to Rob again, and visiting the nurse at the hospital.

The wine with the question mark is just because it's the bartenders guess, but its a correct one.

Is it giving you a message when you click on it? Be sure you have the right birthdate. You can get the correct one from Rob, after getting the false one from Brett.

Bug Alert

We found a small bug that you should be aware of when playing (thanks Ndougou and Bird).

Regarding the yellow pages phone book, do NOT use the notes directly on the book. Interact with the book (with the hand) instead. Otherwise, you will be unable to view an important room in the game.

It was a result of a typo in the script (a "lose" instead of "add", urgh), but it only occurs if the note is used in place of the hand.

The later zip version will not have this bug. So sorry for the difficulty this caused anybody!

Ok, I think I may have sorted it...

Make sure to touch the yellow pages twice. Depending on the order in which you uncover things, the first time you touch it, you may only get Rob's office and not the bar. The second time, you should uncover the bar, if you've done below.

Hmm, and how exactly do I do that! I cant talk to him about a cash advance. I have a note about him and sherry. I am not sure where that came from. Then there is a bottle under the table with which I cant interact either.

The bottle is ok -- you can't pick it up.

You can look at the sherry bottle, and that will allow you to take the same bottle at Bailey's bar. Rob will only give you the cash advance after you've given him the sherry, ran through the dialog, and then come back later.

Ndougou --

@Fisher: I already interacted with the yellow pages and all personal notes i got. I only got a note saying "Bailey Pub at Corner of Main and Disa" but dont know hoe to use that note. The Pub is not in my list of places i can visit (only hospital, my apartment and office).

@quasar : All i (already) got from the toilet were 300$ i gave to my landlord. That was when she gave me the hint of the bar, which i used with the yellow pages to get the hint "Bailey Pub at Corner of Main and Disa".

So, thanks to both of you for your help but I'm still stuck....

It should work if you touch the yellow pages, after you've paid the land lady $300 and read the note. You can also use the actual note about the bar on the yellow pages.

First, pick up the photo of Lauren in the apartment bedroom, on the nightstand. Then, look at it in your inventory. After that, talk to the pub door, and you will get the ok to enter.

For those who are having trouble downloading the game, we will  try to upload it as a zip file on the AGS Server next week.

LimpingFish - Its a good suggestion. Only problem is, we have sloooow dial-up - overseas thing. If someone with a fast link wants to put it up there, its much appreciated and fine by us.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to make, and we learned a lot too.
