Great story! You obviously put a lot of work into it. This looks it will be a lot of fun to play.

One of our beta testers is busy with some personal work, but we've decided to do a preliminary release while we're waiting for his response, since we've done a bit of beta testing already.  ;D

The Story
A mysterious stranger, an unmarked package, a terrible explosion â€" that's all you remember. But who wanted you dead? And what about the beautiful woman that lingers at the edge of your memories? Uncover your identity, but watch your step… at every corner you can anticipate murder.

Screenshot:

Game Features:

All 3D graphics, 15 rooms, over 50 inventory items, 8 animated NPCs, and three big explosions.

About the Creators:  We're a husband-wife team of classic adventure game fans. This is our first game, and we're psyched to release it here.

(Dissapearing Bar bug fixed, all versions)

Really excellent. Best AGS game I've played yet!

Our first beta tester has given it the green light -- no bugs. We're still waiting for the other two to complete testing, but its looking good. We really hope to have it out by next week.

About Omnipotent Tarot:

Experience the insight of  traditional tarot. Have a one card general or daily reading, or feel the power of the ten card Celtic Cross spread with the popular Rider-Waite tarot deck.

It's out for beta testing, and will be released as soon as we have the ok.  ;D

I'm working on a tarot program, so for each of the ten positions, I have a random card pulled and its associated message displayed. There are 78 cards to work with, which is why I was using so many nested else/ifs.

I'll try Nathan & Ashen's suggestions and post back if I'm still stuck. The help is most appreciated!

Don't want to give away much of the plot, but there's a reason she doesn't look her best...  :-X

Thanks, Crazy. We will definitely go for lights and shadows if we  do other games. We have a lot of learning to do!  I've seen in professional games, those details do make the difference.

To make the people, we used Blender's MakeHuman, exported as 3DS, and imported into Animator. Then, we added hair (after much experimenting) and clothes (our technique still needs some work there).

My husband is the real character animator. I'll get him to check out this thread.

Thanks a lot   ;D

Is it possible to use a case statement in place of the else/if  statements?

I'm receiving an error that I have too many nested else/if statements, but I need 78 for a randomized event.

We've been using Anim8or, mostly.  Blender too, but to a much lesser extent.

Next time around, we want to try Endorphin Natural Motion for characters, which has a physics calculator.

See the top post for an NPC walk sequence preview.

Breathtaking...totally impressive.

Cheese: It's random, so it should give you different responses each time you start up. There's roughly 20-30 possible answers for each question type.

Nana: To ask a question, just use the eye icon (your mouse cursor) over the ball. At the bottom of your screen will be some question type options to select from. Select the choice from the list, and the rest is automatic.

I thought about possibly using a textbox...maybe it would have been a good addition. Ah, next time.

Thanks for the great feedback everybody!
