In the same way as Mario is adventure, then?

Psychonauts's gameplay is pure platformer.

AGA, too bad i just spent my last couple hours reading all the nitpicks and gripes on that site. His writing was very humorous and his ideas were well thought out. I just wish I could have gotten the work I wanted to do tonight done...

thanks for the fun link, though.

Same thing happened to me. :(

Not to be nitpicky but... Psychonauts isn't an adventure game. :P

I have also read Dirk Gently....just the first one I believe (fairly recently), though I may have started the other one and given up early on because I didn't like it (there were only two, right?). Having been a big Hitchhiker fan for several years, I had fairly high expectations for Dirkyboy, but I found I was quite disappointed. There are some clever ideas in there, but I did not think they were tied together well enough for it to be an interesting story. The complete randomness was less....random in Hitchhiker.

Actually, Dirk Gently is much less random than H2G2, but most of the connections aren't revealed until the end, and you have to really pay attention to get some of them. Both Dirk Gently books are pure genius, IMHO.

Why not Codename 47?

Am I alone on this, or does anyone else find that cigarette guy pervy too?

I thought it was a bananna.  :o  :-[

You can try www.freeprohost.com: it's free, and no ads. Reliability could be a problem...

Sorry Redwall for not explaining myself. The 'gradiented' outline of the island is not beaches but breaking waves which i plan to post an animation for soon. Also the change to night was made because it would be easiier for me to portray topography as I want to. In case I didn't explain it the green part is swamp as flippyD guessed.

Actually, I wasn't referring to that but the brown/tan areas on the left side.

Beachs look odd, too bright maybe? And why the change to night?

Plus the classic Pleurghburg shooting scene.

Yeah, you're right. That is a good workaround. Of course this means that you need to have graphics for all disabled buttons :-\ But thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably do just that.

You could just pass the original graphic if it doesn't have one, couldn't you?

QuoteHaving just finished HL2 a couple days ago, I can't help but read everything in Redwalls postings in the doctor's voice.

You too?!

I'm going to have start taking advantage of this. Erm... nothing comes to mind.

According to my English teacher, people who have not read To Kill a Mockingbird should be forced to do so or be shot.

In Command & Conquer it's left click to move/attack and right click to deselect. So not just like Command & Conquer. ;)

Great job, though! I was working on something like this a while back. I'm curious, how did you handle unit creating?

Personally, I prefer Paul Anderson. But that's just me.

Smells like a hoax to me. But maybe that's just because, as Dragonrose mentioned, I can't believe they'd be stupid enough to call it "Maxtrix".
#378
Bah, that doesn't look like Teal'c. Your sprite isn't frowning. ;D

More seriously, why is Teal'c in a tanktop? They haven't done tanktops until the past two seasons or so, and that's mostly for attracting more female viewers. ::)

I think Doom 3 or HL2 or Halo 2 or GTA:SA are one of the most popular (probably Halo 2).

I would say Far Cry is one of the most memorable FPSs of 2004. ;)

BloodRayne and Hunter, yes.. But FARCRY?!? One of the best games of 2004?

True. But did you listen to its voice acting? It was like an action movie satire, except it wasn't meant to be.

BTW - Who wants to bet they'll remove the plot twist with Doyle at the end (assuming Doyle will still exist)?
