...Have you talked to Yahtzee?

He seems to like Idle Thumbs.

You can take that a step further. The problem is, as I see it, that most are stupid.

Unless you want to be nice...

Vel is on vacation for the rest of the competition.

Creative Minds (Team 1) - The Hamlet

Plot: 100%
Programming: 40%
Graphics: 45%
Music: 50%

As stated, Vel is on vacation for the rest of the competition. He completed the final design document and all dialogues before he left, however. The rest of us are working on our respective areas and discussing each others' work. Progress was slow but has accelerated recently and is still gaining speed. Right now the major thing left is background art, but that is coming along. I believe we will finish on time, but it'll probably be tight.

"I am amazed no one has come up with this before, it's incredible," he told Reuters.

I know why no one came up with it before, they were looking for LEGITIMATE locations, that's why.  This guy reminds me of that Von Doniken dude from the 80s that went to prison for falsifying mummy remains or something.

It's a load of bullshit, but it's an amusing load of bullshit.

General Discussion / Re: Bad Names
Fri 06/08/2004 23:10:55
The story is very horrific, pessimistic, and dark, and the name complements the game. To put it bluntly, the main objective is to get killed. It's about four (I think four? maybe a different number) people who have been tortured for hundreds of years by a supercomputer after it killed off the rest of the human species. The computer gives each character tasks to complete - facing their worst fears kind of stuff - and once they finish it ends their suffering. I don't think I ever actually completed it, and it was a long time ago, so some of these details may not be exact.

It's just the next evolution of the GAC, DNA, and the Brits one. (the name escapes me right now) Though only the GAC seemed to ever actually do anything.

Cornjob never completed a game of his own, and still got the first AGS Lifetime Achievement award.

I Spy???

What happened for me is the game seemed to hang after clicking on a pocket, leaving a few seconds between the click and the appearance of whatever was in the pocket, and giving you time to move the cursor off and cause the InvalidObject error. This only happened every once in a while, though.

I believe you are referring to newbie rather than n00b. N00b is a derogatory term used to refer to spammers, screamers, and general idiots. A newbie is just someone new. Unfortunately, in some parts of the internet, especially in the more xenophoic communities,  the terms are used interchangeabley, but they are seperate definitions.

Isn't Ebola a type of Hemmorhagic Fever?

Goddammit, why does all the cool stuff happen when I'm on vacation?

The odd thing is I read the GIP thread and replayed Apprentice just before I left...

If you look at his site, it seems he's obsessed with the horries series like Friday the 13th, although he gives scathing reviews for each one. The thing he raves about is the characters that get killed rather than the killer itself though, so I guess this is his ideal series.

From my experience however, the people on TechTV are idiots.

Spoiler
I didn't see any hand come out of the box at the end? And when I tried to enter the ship without destroying the idol he turned into the Welder when I clicked on the uniform in the airlock. (which was very spooky, because I thought you had to destroy it inside...)

yeah, but it still makes me a bit mad, cuz i was walking into a door (the confrence one, to be exact) and the second i got to it, Barry showed up  ::)

well, w/e  ;D, but I'm stuck on the Barry chasing you part, what do i do or where do i go?

That happened to me all the time too, it is annoying. It seemed to me that he (and the... err... nevermind) only shows up in the first ten seconds or so though, so I just waited and then took my chances.

I think there's a hint for you at the top of the third page.

That's part of the game, I assumed it was because they're apparitions rather than physical beings.
