Actually, Guido does exist when a censor bar but I'm unhappy with how the sprites look.

Here's the latest group who have been finished.
#82
The Krysis-style characters in .cha format bundle has been updated.
#83
Krysis, good to hear from you again.

Here's the next batch, finally got Allen finished.  Still no pets though.
#84
Having specific GUIs for certain characters is an neat idea.  It would be interesting to see what people would come up with for certain characters.
#85
Well, no pets this time, but here's a bunch of folks who have been recently completed, added to the .cha bundle and uploaded to the site.

#86
Thanks, AGA.

The respective bundles for the Krysis-style sprites & .cha files have been updated.

There was a database error that mucked things up.  I've finished fixing the game links and everything seems to be working as it should.  You should have no problems downloading games from the RoN site.  If you're still having an issue, drop me a PM.
#88
The links in the games database have been updated to correctly link to the game files.  I've tested everything and they all seem to work correctly, so it looks like we're finally back to normal.

I've had to recreate the character & game entries for the games that were released between 2008 - 2011.  The games that were released during this period can once again be easily downloaded from the RoN site.

Glad to know what happened, and RoN is still alive (transported back in time perhaps but still alive).

Let me do some checking and hopefully we'll get things back to 2012 or as close as possible.

Having RoN characters interpreted in DOTT/Sam & Max style would be very interesting to see.

More characters done in the Krysis style have been fully animated.  They are:

There's a new file on the Resources section of the RoN site available for download.

Today marks RoN's 11th Anniversary.

There's a new, updated collection of Krysis-style backgrounds on the resources page at the RoN site, and a link for the Virtual Reality project has been posted in the Virtual Reality thread on this forum.

Happy 11th Anniversary RoN.

The link is broken no longer, so download away.

This was an activity for filling out one high school (Reality High).  There are other schools in the city (River Norm high and the university and whatever elementary school(s) that haven't been discovered/invented yet)... besides, I'd imaging most boards of ed would want teenagers confined to one location so they can keep an eye, er.. teach them properly. :)

When complete, this can serve as a reference for knowing the corridor structure if people what to do backgrounds or serve as a map screen if someone wants to have an adventure based in the school.

I was emailed some updates, which I've added:

Well, the Joey that appears in Purity of the Surf was promoting Bestowers of Eternity, which would make him more a of Bestowers Joey than the Blackwell Joey we all know (if you squint really hard and want to make that distinction).

Otherwise you have to include The Shiva into this as Durkin (and Stone in a VO cameo) appear in both WE game/series (Shiva & Blackwell respectively).  Which would amount to one of the most complex and confusing (though probably epic) fan-game crossovers ever.

So Dave, since he asked about your normal RoN games, what did you say?

Everything is pretty much malleable at this point.  If someone wants/needs to shift corridors or room blocks then they're free to do so.  If someone wants to stick the cafeteria in the basement they can (that's where the cafeteria was in my high school, for example).

When I did the auditorium, I based it upon the one from my high school but kept the design restricted to the auditorium rather than copying the layout of my old school exactly(if I'd done that I'd have had to include two small rooms that connected into the music room behind the auditorium and the whole design inches *that* much away from a fictional design (although I'd be the only one to recognize it and get the reference)  :)).

Once of the reasons I gave the school six stairwells and so many corridors (thus creating middle room blocks) was to better help with flow of students and for safety reasons in event of a fire or something.

Just a quick update that better defines the auditorium area and added a corridor to the back of the ground floor.

I'm also providing an alternate floorplan below.  It's narrower than the original so there's less floorspace to play around with.  If people prefer this size to the original, then have a say and we'll use the new size.

One of the RoN-projects I have on the go deals with Reality High so I came up with this basic floor-plan.  Then I thought that it might be an idea to turn it into a small activity like we used to have on the old forum and have some fun with fleshing the school out.

So, apart from the the exterior walls, the stairwells, front entrance & school administration (which are set in stone) - everything else is and can be subject to change.
- Corridors can be added/subtracted, the library or auditorium can be moved/enlarged/decreased.
- Figure out where to put the cafeteria.
- Pick a colour for a subject and start filling in blank areas.
- The list of subjects can be added or if something thinks of something that isn't there or a subject can be removed if someone feels it's not something that would be taught.

This is a map, and it's not to scale

In case this post fell to the wayside I wanted to redraw attention to it.  I've gone through it and made my own comments but I'm only one person and I can't catch everything.  It would be beneficial to him and his game to have more than my solitary perspective.

If anyone is interested in beta-ing a new RoN game, please send HandFree a PM.

To address your 2nd question first, in "RON 2 and 1/2: Fowl Play" the Baron goes to the Sheriff to have the chicken arrested, which does happen although the chicken escapes at the end of the game.

It's in Creed Malay & Denzil Quixode's "Kittens" story-arc that delves into the Baron's side of the story and his plans for revenge against the chicken.  I'd suggest playing "Cabbages and Kings", "Kittens and Cacti", and "Apocalypse Meow (Chapter One)" in order to get the full scope of what the Baron is planning (and the fact that the games are good).
