Actually QFG 1 & 2 sold less than QFG3, and QFG4 sold the best in the series. I'm not sure about 5. But I think QFG3 is a great adventure game, one of the best settings in QFG.

::) That probably wasn't called for.

I'm a Sierra person.Ã,  I was first introduced to adventure games by Kings Quest 1 when i was a kid, and my dad kept buying everyone after that for me, until i was able to purchase them myself.

When i first played KQ1 on the Tandy 1000, i knew that adventure games really meant something to me.Ã,  I couldn't believe i could control a character onscreen using a joystick.Ã,  I will always have fond memories of the Kings Quest Series.

Same here. Sierra will always be the best in my books. They basicly rounded their company just for adventure games, unlike lucas arts which are too busy with more strwars titles.

If you want to talk about a bad gam talk about Kings Quest 8. Leave the decent games like QFG1-5 alone. :p

Is it okay if two people can work on one game for mags?

This reminds me of the Five magical amulets game. Nice style. Be sure to keep the game at a hi-res otherwise it would look bad if its 320x240 for example.  :)

Why do people make character sprites without drawing them first? Try drawing the character on paper then scane it then colour it using some minor shading, you'll see its much easier than making it from a plain white background.  ;)

Whoa, That's a beautifull background, how on earth do you people do that?! (Did you use a tablet for this one? or was it all photoshop?)

I started with a sketch and then coloured it on my PC.

Thanks Andail, I didn't draw the semi-hills in my sketch thats why I didn't  have them. Thanks a bunch for the painover. Im not good at shadows, I always try not to overdo it.

I think that makes the background perfect, I'm going to make a grass template to use on backgrounds with lots of grass so it looks better and is less work.

One thing I noticed that you removed the shadow of the large tree on the right. Do you think the shadow should be more to the left instead of the centre because I just noticed it looks odd.

Glad to see people are taking on to my work well. Looks like many of you might enjoy this game.  ;D

Much nicer, well done!

QuoteWarning: This game is not suitable for young audiences... It might even check your age!

That will only make more people download it. Funny joke.  ;)

You're an amazing 3D artist. What programs do you use?

Try to blend the right cave wall like you did on the left side. Looking good, you should think about doing low-res EGA artwork.  ;)
