I love the books and the show. I also love the female body, I am a man after all!
But when I'm watching Game of Thrones I can't help but think it can be a bit too much sometimes, I don't watch shows like these to be aroused.... that's for Paul's private time later on...

The English language has been influenced by so many different cultures, we've been invaded or settled by Celts, Romans, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes, Normans, Welsh, Scots, Dutch...
It's no wonder the English language is difficult!

Here's a tip, 'grafic' is spelled 'graphic'.

I'd imagine that's how a French person might pronounce graphic. Maybe he's French?
Pourriez-vous me dire où se trouve la toilette la plus proche est? J'ai la chiasse.

Hello Randy! My name's Horny!
I typed your question into google the first result was this:

How to Draw Monkeys the Lucas Arts way pdf

It's acually quite interesting, I'm going to read it myself later.

I've dabbled with rotoscoping in the past, though I used vectors.
They should make this thread into a sticky! Though i'd imagine it would get moved if they did.

EMOBLADE ATTACK!
My only complaint is that it was too short!

Is this the project that Snarky was scripting the battle system for?

I love the little chracters, reminds me of when I painted Warhammer miniatures as a kid.

I made this game (very quickly last year) using construct 2: http://abeckettking.com/booksgame.html

But I found the scripting irritatingly limiting. Particularly the lack of really basic things like if/then conditionals. Construct2 is still in development, of course, so maybe it's better now?

It's kind of got If/then conditionals now, but I agree it can be a bit annoying. There where times when I thought "I could have typed this faster".

I do like the idea behind it, maybe one day i'll create something that is worth paying for.

I know it's still in the early stages, but it's difficult to find content unless you search for it (you have to know what you are looking for). As far as I can see there's no page that lets you browse available products.

If you look at GOG.com, they let you download as many times as you like DRM free. They just make you "promise" not to redistribute the files. They seem to be quite successful.

Perhaps if it was as many times as you like over 3 days? That way if a download fails, you haven't accidently used up a download.
Though you kind of address this:

....therefore in the future we will let sellers choose themselves whether after purchase the download link should be expired after a while, or should it remain active always.

The light blue text on a white screen is hard on the eyes!

QuoteHow many times can I download my purchase?
indeSale allows you to try and download your purchase 3 times and/or for 3 days.
That means that if 3 days past or you tried to download the product 3 times, your download link will be expired.

Rather than 3 days, 3 times. Why not as many times as you want forever? It is an indie and open site after all.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Bowie now and again!

There's something bothering me about his voice though, autotune?

General Discussion / HTML5 Games - Thoughts?
Thu 09/05/2013 20:51:48
I've been messing around for a few hours and created this:

HTML5 Test

Left Click: Walk to.
Riht Click: Look at.

Nothing is going to come of this example, I just wanted to see what Construct2 was like as a games development tool.
As an amateur game developer I've become very interested in HTML5 games, the potential of generating income.

I'm not delusional, I'm fully aware that I have a long way to go in terms of growing as a games developer (I cringe as I type, I don't think I deserve to label myself as one, can't think of another way to put it).

I was wondering what other you guys thought about HTML5? Does anyone have any experience in the matter?
Will AGS ever become HTML5 friendly? (I realise this is a big ask).

"I wish there was a place for adventure games like us."
There is....right here!

This shows just how wonderful crowd funding can be. Without it, many projects like this would never see the light of day.

Also it's weird how people come up with similar ideas, my next game involves pirates in a void like world. I've read the first few pages of the webcomic, it looks really good, but will forbid myself from reading the rest until I've finished my game!

That's evil! HAHA!

I have one of those somewhere, deep in the darkest depths (under my bed in a box). Curse of MI is probably there as well. Maybe I'll get them out one day...

General Discussion / Re: LibGDX. Anyone?

I've been debating whether to learn actionscript or java (I know they have similarities.). This looks very interesting.
