This looks great and the story sounds intriguing. I'm interested to hear more about it!

I liked the gameplay of this one, it felt like we were all working together on the case, which was nice. I also liked how you managed to create a sense of urgency with the police sirens, even though we could have taken another three weeks to work the puzzle out if we'd needed to (laugh). I enjoyed the puzzles, although the finger pointing was getting a bit frustrating. I suppose the lesson there is always examine everything, especially your own inventory. The box riddle is the sort of thing that I would have looked at a walkthrough to solve and not felt bad about it because I would never have worked it out myself anyway. The riddle itself is fine, I just wouldn't have got the connection between "sinister" meaning "left" and that "never wrong" would mean "always right", even though it makes perfect sense in hindsight.
The story was good, it started out as more than just a generic "murder in a study" plot, with the box obviously being important, and I was interested to find out what the mystery of the box actually was.
Spoiler
I wasn't expecting that ending (I've never seen the film, since I don't like horror) so I was a bit taken aback by it, but the whole "becoming obsessed by the box" bit was an interesting route that I hadn't thought of. Obscure closure is the best closure! (laugh)

And yes, I did feel sorry for Sasha at first, but then I realised that it was clearly just a hallucination and that she would have run away as soon as she got hungry enough and is now living happily with a nice old lady just down the road. Which is exactly what happened. (nod)

So, yeah, it was good fun. It would be nice to have another case like this again some time. ;-D

This looks very interesting! Although I agree with Mandle, I think the title would sound better as "The Emmett Timeline". :)

Concept: Stupot+ - The idea of the sky café is intriguing, I can imagine some dramatic scenes being set here.
Playability: Rocchinator - There is so much to look at and do, and I can see all sorts of puzzles taking place here.
Artistic Execution: Blondbraid - I love all of the details, and the poses of the characters tell a great story.

Concept: 07 Selmiak - I really love the idea of the floating islands in space. The upside-down Home sign is a great touch.
Playability: 01 Lorenzo - There is a decent space for the walkable area and a few good places for hotspots, too.
Artistic Execution: 07 Selmiak - All of the entries are really stunning with some amazing details, but I just feel like this background looks the best with the character in mind. The colours are really beautiful. And I really want to see the (potential) animated version! :-D

Ooh, good thinking, Cassie!

I change my vote to save game, then OPEN THE BOX. (laugh)

Oh wow, multiple endings! (laugh)

OPEN THE BOX

For the same reasoning as CaptainD. Also, why would the old man have been pointing out the way to open the box if it was just going to kill us? Unless he knew he was going to die and wanted to take everyone else down with him... I still say open it. :P

The atmosphere in these backgrounds really draws you in. Amazing work!

Water: S
Fire: N
Male: NE
Female: S
God: NW
Devil: S

Search the internet for the Mississippi.
Search the internet for Mount Vesuvius.

Thought I'd try this first and then we can search for specifics afterwards if we need to.

OK, I'll add some thoughts this time:

Spoiler
Water: S (The Mississippi flows roughly southwards)
Fire: SE (This one is a stab in the dark, but Pompeii is to the south-east of Vesuvius, and that's all I can think of in connection to an eruption of that volcano)
Male: NE (Representing the male gender symbol)
Female: S (Representing the female gender symbol)
God: N (Because north is... up?)
Devil: S (And south is down :-\)
[close]

I realise that some of my reasoning is, well, not reasoning at all. Just random guesses, really. (laugh)

Here's my first go:

Spoiler

Water: S
Fire: N

That's a lovely post, Tycho. Congratulations to both you and Brane. ;-D

It's completely understandable that you'd want to take a break from entering contests for a while. I've only entered two MAGs before, but both times I've felt like zoning out for the next month or so. (laugh) So take all the time you need, but I hope you do enter some of the contests again in the future. And it's not all luck, you know. Your graphics are beautiful, and that's down to your own talent. People will always appreciate hard work when they see it.

Really well done to everyone else, too. You should all be hugely proud of yourselves just to have got your games finished, let alone to have made them as good as they all were. ;-D
