Yeah, that was a good one! I did wonder at the beginning how the title fitted with the story, but I forgot about it after a while. I enjoyed the whole investigative feel of this case, too.

I'm so confused, I must be missing something here. The stab wound killed Arnold Kiesler, but it was not inflicted by himself, the male servant, or the doctor. He wasn't killed by a female and the drunk never entered the house.

Did the drunk stab Kiesler before he arrived home?

Was the stab wound the cause of death?
Was someone involved who hasn't been mentioned yet?

Did a female kill Mr Kiesler?
Did whoever killed Kiesler take the bearer bonds and hide them as part of the plan?

Had Mr Kiesler planned to kill himself, but someone else murdered him before he could?
Did whoever killed Kiesler steal the bearer bonds?
Did whoever killed Kiesler burn the bearer bonds in the fireplace?

Was there any evidence of anyone entering Margaretha's room during the night? [But why would there be?]

I thought perhaps if someone had been pretending to be a ghost to scare her they might have dropped something or left a footprint. I mean, I don't know why they would be wanting to scare a little girl, I'm grasping at straws, here.

Was Mr Kiesler working with someone else to fake the robbery?
Did someone find Mr Kiesler in the process of faking the robbery?
Was Mr Kiesler supposed to die that night?

You've got "Always display text as speech" as true, which is why Display is showing as speech rather than as a text box. I'm not certain, but could the custom text GUI not be showing because you're using Lucasarts-style speech? If you change the speech style in game options to "Sierra with background", does it work then?

Was there any evidence of anyone entering Margaretha's room during the night?
Were there any secret doorways in the house?
Did Arnold Kiesler empty the contents of the safe himself?
