You would do it the exact same way you would outside of dialog. You can place any code inside dialog, you just need to indent it so that the game recognises it as normal code, rather than as part of the dialog script. :)

Right, I've amended my previous votes to include Best Overall game. :)

It's a shame that Nixxon and Funkpanzer didn't get their entries in. They both looked really interesting, and Nixxon seemed to be making good progress. At least I've got Danvzare's entry to play and enjoy! :)

Looks like Riaise beat me to the punch but... WE REACHED OUR GOAL!

Heh, sorry about that. :P The game looks fantastic, so I was really pleased for you when I saw the Kickstarter update. :-D

@Stupot+: About Lydia -
Spoiler
I got all four. I picked up the hammer first and used it on the pipe before moving the unit. I can't remember if I picked up the one in the sheet first or second, but I'm pretty sure it was after I'd got the hammer, and I picked up the one in the cupboard last.

Best Overall Game: Where Be Dragons? by Gurok

Congratulations, Ali! :-D

Easter Island Defender by Mandle

Spoiler
Good gameplay, and a fun concept. The graphics work well and the sounds are good, too. I was glad to reach the safety of the cave in the end!

Like a Fox! by Jack
Spoiler

I don't usually like stealth games, but this one was good. It seemed just about the right difficulty, and it definitely helped that you were only stunned when caught! Nice clean graphics, too.

Where Be Dragons?
by Gurok

Spoiler
Lovely game! The story is nice and the ending is not what I was expecting! The use of inventory items was really well thought out, too. Great work!

Smooth Hide by Cassiebsg

Spoiler
I like the graphics, they make the whole game feel friendly. The puzzles were nicely integrated, and the whole thing was fun to play. Well done!

Lydia by Dualnames

Spoiler
I haven't finished this one yet. I'm having the same problem as Mandle, the game just crashes to desktop after the spectre appears and tells Lydia that she must trade her life. No "the end". Up until that point the game is really great, though! The atmosphere is dark and mysterious and the gameplay mechanic is really interesting.

cyberJACK by brewton

Spoiler
Really nice graphics and animations. It's a shame there wasn't a tiny bit more gameplay, but there are hints of a very good little game here. Good work!

I will have a think and cast my votes soon. :)

CONCEPT: Error 404 by Hobo - Great idea. I would never have thought of something like that.
PLAYABILITY: EGA Afterlife by Hobo - As DBoyWheeler said, I can imagine the character walking around the room, trying to get past the guardians.
ARTISTIC EXECUTION: EGA Afterlife by Hobo - The flames seem so alive, and the detail of the stars in the background is fantastic. Blondbraid is a very close second for me, though.

Thank you both for the lovely comments! :-*
#594
Looking good, Blondbraid! I can't wait to play it! ;-D
#595
Thank you so much! I wasn't sure how well I'd got the story across, but your comments are really reassuring! :-D

@Riaise - To be fair I pretty much always post the results pretty shortly after the deadline closes.

Oh, I didn't mean it in that sense, you do a great job with running the MAGS. :) I wasn't sure if the poll would show the result after it was closed, or if it would still be hidden and you would post it as usual. I just meant that it was nice to be able to see the result visually (Cassie and Mandle are clearly enjoying it :P). Sorry about that, I should have worded it better.
#599
Congratulations to Selmiak, Emont and Creamy! :-D

Using the poll seems to work better, too. Especially as everyone can see the result once the poll has been closed. (nod)
