Hey, Las, which character from BaSS was that?
Started replaying Broken Sword a couple of days ago, but I haven'tÃ,  noticed anything...Ã,

Spyros, we have no downloads for the moment, but I think I'm gonna upload some songs at soundclick.com soon...
OR, if you have Soulseek, you could get them through there.

Anyways, when are y'all coming out on an scandianvian tour, then? ;)

Hehe, this is cool, Spyros - I like it. More 80's metal to the people!
The lyrics made me think of Manowar, though... ;)
Put in a few more "True", "Fight", "Metal" and "Warriors", perhaps even arrange them as a song-title, i.e: "True Fighting Metal Warriors", and you're on your way... Hehe...Ã,

I'd give out the link to our band Ingnis, since we have good bit of 80's metal influence ourselves, but since the homepage is in swedish, I doubt it'd be of much use... :P

I love them all. And that's not only because they were my first adventure games I played, and because I'm a total Pratchett-fanatic. I actually still find a huge pleasure in playing them... :)
Ã,
Noir is the best, in my opinion, DW2 comes in a close second, and DW1 was probably the "worst"...

Ok, don't think I've posted in the new version of this thread...

- Background Art
Pretty basic stuff, but if you are content with more low-res backgrounds without too much fancy stuff, I can help you. Samples of it can probabaly be dug out in the lounge...Ã,

- Story, etc
Love writing and coming up with ideas. Right now helping out Snake with plotting and story for "The Legend of Leitor's Edge".

- Beta Testing
If I can download it, I can test it for you...

- Voice acting
Just recently got a mic, so now I can record all of my wierd vocies... I'm pretty good at most varietys of english accents, from stiff upper lip brittish, to new york cab driver... :)

- Proofreading
I'm good at nit-picking when it comes to language, and I've got a Cassell Concise Dictionary by my side, so no problem...

- Translation
Swedish to English, if that ever would be an issue...

Hey, Pesty, you have GWAR, and "Saddam A Go-Go", on top of it all, on your list? Haha, that's really cool - I thought nobody knew of them here... I think everybody has to reconsider their idea of an "Extreme Image" after seeing these guys...
I got part of the video from "Saddam..." as well... It's bloody brilliant... :DÃ,

And as a sidenote - "A Hundred Years" with The Cure is now officially on the list of greatest songs ever... So wonderfully bleak and haunting... :)Ã,

Ooh, I'd recommend Discworld first of course... :D Though I do think that DW1 can be a wee bit slow and not quite as good as DW2 and Noir.
...Still, it's Discworld, 'innit?

BaSS comes second - I like it very much, despite THE emphasis ON some words, that never BOTHERED me MUCH. It has a great atmosphere, with good music and cyberpunk graphics...Ã,  Ã,

Blade Runner is great, just sat down and tried to find all the different endings in it recently... Not a masterpice, but I enjoyed it.

The rest of them I haven't played, so I can't say... :)

General Discussion / Re: A funny little poem

Hehe, great! I love almost everything Galenskaparna has done... Especially "Leif" and aforementioned "Tornado", where this one is from... :)Ã, But I've just got the 6 last episodes... Man, I've got to get the rest...Ã,

"Perry Mason on Ice" forever! ;)

Yay, I hope everything goes well, man! Good luck and all that!
Just don't stop your plans for finishing The Dead Walk... Hehe... :)

General Discussion / Re: Beard and long hair!

Well, I fit in the "long hair"-cathegory - It's almost down to my shoulders - But no real beard to speak of yet, though...Ã,

Hm, a good question... I thought it was Odysseus Kent at first, but then I remembered that the first one I played was Night of the Hermit, when he had just released the talkie, through a link on worldofmi.com.... :)Ã,  Ã,

...I am actually listening to The Cure right now. "Burn", no less. Heard it in "The Crow" and got curious. Great song.
#273
Hey, femme, I had no idea that you had such a great taste in music... :) Rock on!
Btw - That Dimmu song, "Puritana", is the one which goes "I am war, I am pain", or something like that, right?Ã,
I'm no huge fan of them, but I have to say I liked that one as well.Ã,  (Saw a live clip from Wacken Open Air...)

Black Sabbath - The Wizard

Kaaz, my hero! :D Great song!

No big anime expert, but I definately like it - I'd just like to say that Rouroni Kenshin (Samurai X) is very much worth a look.
The TV-series is good, but very long, as I've understood, and the motion picture is also good, (And similiar style-wise to the series) but the masterpiece is the two OVA:s that is out there; "Trust" and "Betrayal".

Superb animation, brilliant music, a brilliant and breathtaking story and lots of violence, but in the most ugly and un-glorifying way there is.
So far I haven't met anyone who hasn't gone absolutely dead quiet in the beginning and the end of it, because of the impact it creates.

Ah, cripes, two fanatical ramblings in one day? Oh well...

Darth:
Yeah, allright! :) Nice to see someone else likes Queensryche here!
I think many people who simply put aside metal as "stupid music" should really try and listen to them, and especially their "Operation Mindcrime", as I said.Ã,  Ã,
A great concept album, both muscially and lyrically.Ã, Everytime i listen to it, I get just as pulled in to the story as the first time I heard it...
People often call them "Thinking Man's Metal", and I agree... :)Ã,

If that's drum-playing kid I think it is, I'm going with Las here, without even watching Flippy's clip...

Cripes, that's hard... I usually change my list of favourite songs all the time, but the ones that I always return to sooner or later are:Ã,  (I won't rank them, they all have personal meanings to me, and I hate to say that one of them are better than the others...)

The Beatles - I'm Only Sleeping
(I love the dreamy, sleepy feeling of it...)

The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby
(Perhaps the most depressive song I know. And I love that!)

The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows
(Psychedelic goodness... Yum.)

Black Sabbath - Megalomania
(The progressive side of Sabbath - Anguished and dark.)

Black Sabbath - Solitude
(Perhaps the most beautiful song ever... Has a place in my heart...)

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
(Classic. Still holds up.)

John Lennon - Working Class Hero
(Lennon. Acoustic guitar. Sad. Good.)

Queensrÿche - I Don't Belive In Love
(Or any of their songs from "Operation Mindcrime"! Brilliant album...)

The Clash - Train in Vain
(The crown-juwel of London Calling.)

Candlemass - A Sorcerer's Pledge
(Their whole debut album, actually. A heavy and bleak masterpiece... )

Yeah, on the whole, i like depressive music... :) Well, that's me... Heh.

Critics' Lounge / Re: title screen for game
Sat 12/06/2004 23:29:58
I think it looks good, but it is far too much white, methinks - A quick tip is to just invert it, I think that could look a bit better.
Otherwise, I think it would be more than enough for an intro screen. :)

Aye, I heard that on the news yesterday... Too bad, too sad. He was a great musician.
And not to be sacriligious here or something, but I actually mourn the loss of Ray Charles more than "Ray-Gun"...
Ah well... R.I.P to both of 'em anyway...
