Yep, KaaZ, all the way, for me... :)
#302
Ok, remember that today is the last chance to enter the blitz... The voting will start tomorrow, as I said. :)Ã,

And btw: Great entry, Darth - Kickass!
#303
Greatr entries everyone, but KaaZ... That's simply brilliant... :)
And for the love of god, Darth, please finish yours as well...
#304
Meh, this makes me sad... Are you telling me noone's particiapting in the BG Blitz anymore? At all?
Come on, go ahead and slap up a nice background and make uncle Rincey proud, would ya?
For old times sake?
#305
Ahem. Just to be a bit annoying, I thought I'd postÃ, this.
Me. Vocalist. Live. How about that, EH?

I would say Kyuss - Great, great band that in my opinion gave the whole Stoner Rock-movement a worthy sound, and unfortunately split up after their forth full-length album, "...And the Cirkus Leaves Town".
I still love what Josh Homme is doing nowadays in Queens of The Stone Age, but some of the stuff Kyuss did was... ...Just amazing...
Listen to songs like "Catamaran", "One Inch Man", "El Rodeo", "Tangy Zizzle", "Supa Scoopa and Mighty Scoop", "Allen's Wrench" and many, many more...

Another hardrock band of the 70's that never got far enough attention is Nazareth.
They did some stuff that was definately as heavy as what giants such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath was doing, but still they are rather overlooked today.

Ginny, you're right about that one as well, it could use some more blood... (That sounds a lot more morbid than I intended it to...) Looking forward to hearing your ideas for soundeffects!

Vel:
No, that means I've almost finished the cutscene animation for day 2... :)
I've been working my arse off to get the whole story together, and as I more or less have got the basic outline ready for it, I thought that I could do some more graphics to get some rest from it for a while... Heh... It's far from finished, though... So I'm not even gonna think of importing anything into AGS before I have all the graphics and a solid plot to stand on... ;)

Peter Thomas:
Ok,Ã,  nice to hear you like it...Ã,  But doesn't it fade to black already?

Dux:
I totally agree with you - This is why I love the critics lounge. :)

Haddas:
That sounds like some good ideas - I haven't had time to think about sounds yet, I was saving that until last... :) But my mail should work - Could you try again or maybe upload them somewhere?
The only thing I was thinking of was having some sort of tense music during all these "days", much like in GK1, if you remember how those sounded... Rather dark and foreboding music.
I'll see if I add soundeffects as well, though, because some of the ones you mention sounds like they could fit in rather nice... :)

Zor:
Heh, yeah, I'm feeling pretty done with it as well now...

Ginny:
As I said, I'm not sure I will incorporate all of the sound effects, but some of them would probabably be a good idea... :)

1) Meh, well, I don't know, I'm rather satisfied with the end as it is now, but I could make an edit to see how it looks...
2) Maybe, maybe... That easily fixed in any case... Hehe...
3) Yeah, I know you mentioned this earlier, but I forgot to change it...
4) You could be right here too...
5) That was really just out of pure laziness, really... I'll give it a try...

It's a nice example, but I don't think I'll change it now - I like the effect of being almost "carved" in with a knife, instead of drawn in blood... :)
I actually did the whole thing in Paint, and then used "Microsoft Picture It!" for fading effects and compiling the animation, and MS Gif Animator to adjust and tweak it... :)

Anyways, thanks for the comments, as usual!

Ok, bump bump - Update again!

I tried to use most of the suggestions I got, such as crossfading between the closing of her eyes and the "fade-to-black", keeping the letters and her eyes the same colour, and doing a better version of the letters being scribbled down, and some other small things... :)

Big Brother:
Glad to hear so... :)
But I think her smile gives the whole thing a rather morbid touch - She's smiling, even as her eyes are bleeding and turning black... Heh...
And I like that...

And also, I forgot to answer Ginny's question before:
It's currently 71 frames all in all right now...
#311
Yeah, sure - Go ahead and enter! :)
#312
Thanks again for all the replies! I appreciate it!

Scummbuddy:
Yeah , it may be worth a try. I'll edit it and keep "Day 2" to see how it looks...

Ginny:
I think I get what you mean - I'm getting a bit confused from all suggestions here, but I'll mess around with it and see if I can incorporate most of your suggestions... Hehe... :)

You may be right about the letters, they could perhaps be a bit thicker.

Widdlywiddly & James Kay:
Aye, it was pure laziness from myside that caused that one. I'll fix the A/Y's.

Ashen:
I think that's just me, setting the speed too high... :)

Critics' Lounge / Re: Lineart for game
Mon 03/05/2004 19:11:23
This looks like a very, very good start! The perspective is great, and the lines are clean... :) Can't wait to see them in colour!

Some suggestions on what to add to the corridor:
- Posters on the walls are always good to fill up space with...Ã,
- Grafitti and scribblings on the lockers is common, at least in my school... :)
- And maybe a trashcan or two?

Good luck, and keep up the good work!
#314
- Tiny, tiny update... Added another blink in the end, as I said.

I think I'm pretty close to what I want now.
Might even settle for this version if someone hasn't got any more critics? :)

Ok, no time to waste here, let's jump right into the new BG-Blitz topic:

Cyberpunk/Future City

That is, a futuristic scene, either from earth or wherever you want it to take place, but preferably in a city. Dark and gloomy is a plus... :)
If you want some reference shots, I'd advise looking at games such as Beneath a Steel Sky or Blade Runner.Ã,  Ã,  Ã,

Restrictions:
Max. Size: 640x480
No Colour Restriction.
Last day to enter is the 17th -Ã,  Voting will take place the next day.

Good luck and all that! Cheers! :)
#316
Glad to hear it, OSC... :)
I don't think I'll have her wink with just one eye, though - It would probabaly wreck a bit of the athmosphere if she flirted with the gamer, even though I do like the "Sexy Gothic"-feel... ;) Harhar.
#317
So, should we consider this one closed now/should I start a new one?

Anyways - Thanks for the votes, folks! :)

And Ginny: Yes, you should get it! Right now! :D
#318
Ok, I managed to pull another edit together... I still feel there's something that's not right, though... Maybe add another eye-wink in the end?

#319
Bspeers, I'm glad you chose to critisize, I think you did a good job of explaining some of the points...  And as I said, I'll try to use Ghormaks idea as he meant it in the first place... Hehe.

And Haddas, that's a great edit! I think I'll try to acheive something like that... I really, really like it. :)

#320
Ok, here's the updated version:
