Ok, that's just what I want to hear... :) The more references, the better... Hehe...

Yeah, I saw some banner promoting for it, and I'm a bit doubtful... I haven't seen the new version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(I love the original...) either, but I'm generally against remakes as a phenomenon all together...

I did watch the new version of Night of The Living Dead on dvd, with some new music and new scenes. In my opinon it just destroyed a lot of the atmosphere in the original, though. Added a higher cheese factor as well... :)

And count me in as well when it comes to beta-testers...

I would love to help with some art, Dave, but I'm not sure if I'm qualified enough to make them... It all depends on what style you are looking for.
But good luck anyway!

Hm, this is a tough decision, but I say Kaaz.

Well, this didn't exactly make my day...
I'll just say "poo" and then send a mail and sign that petition...

This was my only game on the "Professional Games That I look Forward To In A Close Future"-list... Dang.

Hehe - Ali, that's great! ;D
I tried doing a photoshopping of "dah Arnold" as a demonic LeChuck, but it didn't turn out very well... :)

Sorry for not answering to your replies, but I was a bit occupied... :)

Darth:
You may be right about the bed, but since my perspective skills never seem to improve, I'm not really sure if I can get it to look better... I will try to fix it, though...

About the char:
I made his nose a bit darker now, even though I think it would have looked nice in-game anyway... Still, couldn't hurt...
And yeah, his pants are supposed to have flares... :)

Glad to hear you like the style!

Kaaz:
Yeah, that's a really nice idea - I will try to add that in some way. It looks great in your picture!

Widdly:
Thanks! Glad to hear you like it!

Berserker:
Aye, I think you got something there - I did an edit of the window and some other stuff, but it still needs some tweaking.

Downloaded it, and it's a nice game. But should it really start outside the church with the dog? It does for me...
And also, debug mode is still on... :) Might wanna turn that off...

But otherwise it's really cool - It's got a lot of atmosphere and mood.

Critics' Lounge / Apartment - C&C?
Wed 03/03/2004 09:50:44
Hm, I've been working on this one for a while now - I don't know how many times I tried to get this one to like I wanted it to before I finally got to a look that I felt was right. This is supposed to be the apartment of the main character, Kevin, newly graduated art student and careless youngster. A bit dirty and dusty, in other words...

My main concern is the light - Basically: Is the picture to damn dark?
I do want it to be a bit shady and dark, so I can't make it fully lit either.
Any suggestion is as always, very, very welcome!

Also, here's a new edit of Kevin's main sprite. I realized that the skin tone in the old one made him look like a cheese doodle... :) Hehe...

Darth A - I've liked that one from the first time I saw it.

Hehe, yeah, I think you're right... The ones I listen to used are Swedish, and used to play really depressive metal in the beginning with screams and suchlike, but they've become more plain rock with some progressive influences now. Still rather bleak and depressive stuff, though... :)
Their latest albums should probably appeal to most people, since they're rather "clean", or whatever you should call it...
Heh... It's good music, anyways...

Oh dear... Now I am totally lost in the depths of Katatonia... After seeing them perform live and then listening to their tracks, I've become bitten...

If you get the chance, listen to these... Just perfect...

Katatonia - Sweet Nurse
Katatonia - Evidence
Katatonia - Teargas

Heh, Jekyll, you rascal... I bought and watched "Day of the Dead" yesterday, (Along with some italian horror-film; "The Beyond" - Don't watch it, t'was total rubbish...) and I saw to my surprise in one of the first scenes how a newspaper flips up and reveals the headline "The Dead Walks!"... Ahem...

...You're planning on making constant George A. Romero-references throughout the whole game, aren't you? :)
#373
Ok - I feel I'm not really standing a chance against all these great, great, kickass entries from y'all, but what the heck, here goes... It was fun to do, anyway...

Wow, this demo is great - I definately like the style and the overall feel of it...
Looking forward to the full game!

And one more thing: You haven't taken your nick from the Entombed song with the same name, have you? 'Cos if you have, you get my full and total respect... :)

I love Jekyll, because he's doing a really cool Zombie-game that resembles "Night of the Living Dead", and that most likely will kick some serious ass.
#377
No, no, no - These are some real Droogs...

Kelly and Ozzy Ozbourne - Changes..

LGM, you should listen to the orginal, with Sabbath instead... That's the only version of that song... :) Hehe...

Currently being repeated in Winamp at the moment:

The Clash - Train in Vain (Stand by Me)

Mm, yeah, I understand how you feel, Darth - I've been having some trouble sleeping as well the last year.
I doesn't matter how many times I tell myself that I should go to bed earlier, it always ends with me looking at the clock and realize that it's almost three o'clock in the morning...  And even if i do get to bed earlier, I usually just lie sleepless in my bed until I realize it's too late again... Sometimes reading a book, and sometimes a movie can be helpful, as DM says, but sometimes not even that is good enough...

Music is, however, something that almost always is able to sooth me and put me to sleep... I can even listen to stuff like Entombed and Warhorse and still be calm... :) Oddly enough...

Ahem...

N3T, Petteri, you may be good at playing air-guitar, but can you play a real guitar? And without strings? Yeah, weren't expecting that one, were you?
