I agree, I can't find any bigger flaws with it - If you want the old RPG-ish style, I'd say you're as close as you can get... Nice job!

Can't agree about Loom and The Dig - Loved those games, but the absolutley worst adventure game I've played is "Waynes World".
A horrible, horrible rip-off of the movie, with slooooow dialogues, and weak jokes. One of the most foul attempts at making money from a popular movie I've ever seen... Let's just say that I didn't have the patience to finish it, and that was after about 15 minutes of gameplay...

And no, it's not worth downloading it, even for the pretty graphics and the opportunity to hear the WW-theme...

Hehe, ok, seriously... I did this simple edit to demonstrate some points that could use improvement. (Try to avoid looking at the .gif compression...)




First of all, I changed the outline - From black ones into darker shades of the colours in question. i don't know whether you prefer this or not, but I think looks better.

2nd: I redid his arms. In your picture, he kind of looks like he is about to fly or do the macarena... If you look at how you normally hold your arms when standing up, you'll notice that they fall along the sides of your body. (Well, most of the time, anyway...)
I did the arms rather long though, just for comical effect.

3rd: His face. I don't know, but the original sort of reminded me of Terrance & Philip from South Park... I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I added a more "normal" mouth anyway... I also compressed his head slightly, and added a throat/neck.

4th: Eyes. I just did a very simple fill-in here, but it looks better than just having them white. Having one eye smaller than the other looks cool though, I think, so I kept that...

This was just my own little edit, so if you find it totally wrong for what you had in mind, don't bother - But it might have a point or two... Hope it was helpful!

Heh, it's ok - I can't understand techno music, myself... But that's life - We can't all think the same...

And sure, in one way, metal is a teenage thing, but a lot of people continue to listen to it when they become "adults" as well, just like people who listen to pop or blues or whatever you happen to listen to...
I'd say it's pretty individual - Some youngsters listen to it because they want to rebel against parents, some do it because they think it's cool - But I can guarantee you that the majority of all metal-fans(young and old) do it because they like the music, and nothing else.

Hehe, true - Songs like "The Antichrist", "Hell Awaits" or "Evil Has No Boundaries" doesn't really make up for a fun-lovin' christian gospel outfit, does it?
Oh well, they are a great band, none the less.
