Allright! Kickass - I'm really looking forward to Bad Timing! (Have been ever since I saw the first screenshot...)
Good luck with it, man!

Ok - Here's the latest update/edit:

Besides just making the picture a bit taller, I also added the changes done to the floor by Electric_hare, (Again, thanks a bunch!) and some stuff on the table and on the wall, plus that little jar on the bench.
Which actually happens to be the part I'm most concerned with - It just doesn't look right. Any suggestions?  Maybe I should change the greenish colour?

Electric_hare:
Hey, that's a nice edit! I really like the tiled floor - I usually suck at doing those, so I try to avoid them... But I think you hit spot on in your edit, it was just what the picture needed, me thinks... :)
And, yes, I almost suspected there was a slight perspective error... Heh.
I'll see if I can try and fix that. I have been doing some changes already, adding stuff to the table and the wall, and also trying to add a jar in the foreground as Yak said. (That didn't work very well - I'll see if I can get it to look decent enough for publishing it here...)

Thanks for the critics, man!

Steve:
Yeah, I played that one - Great game, as is the mourge... :) Thanks for the tip - I had almost forgotten how it looked... Hehe.

Yeah, I like the look of it as well - The graphics give me a cool, old-school sierra-vibe... Very nice!
I hope the bands featured will be more old-school punk? The Clash, Pistols, The Damned, right? Perhaps even Ramones or Dead Kennedys, eh? :)
...One can always hope...  Hehe...

And that's cool of you to use the Iron Maiden font in the Rock Shop as well...

Metal-head and general music lover? Yeah, that's me in a nutshell...
(For the moment listening a lot to "Betrayer" by Kreator, "Indians" by Anthrax, and "Blinded By Fear" by At The Gates, actually... Great songs from great bands...)

Looks like a nice site - I might very well send in some reviews!

Stay metal, ya'll.

Hm, not a bad idea - I was thinking of doing some "close-up" foreground stuff, but I figured it wouldn't look very good...  Still, I could give it a try - I really like the idea of having a skeleton of some sort, although I'm not sure that they really use them in mourges... But, hey, I'm no expert, so who knows? :)

And thanks a lot for commenting! Constructive critisism is the best thing to get my creative juices flowing... Hehe...
(As a matter of fact, I've probably learned more about proportions, perspective, colouring and just general drawing techniques here in this forum than I did during my three years having drawing classes under a teacher who was professional "artist"... No names metioned...)

Allright - Here we go with an updated version. I changed the colours to a bit more greenish tone, added stuff on the shelf, added a blood-stained curtain in the corner, a holder for various instruments, a drain, notes on the wall and on one of the body-containers and also the good ol' slab-for-the-dead.
PureGhost, I hope you don't mind that I used your door-structure - It was just what I needed... :)

Anything else? All C&C is welcome, as always.

Hey, that's a really good walking animation, N3T! I can't really find anything wrong with it. It's nice just the way it is, in my opinion.

Hey, thanks a lot to all of you for all the suggestions!

Alynn:
Hm, yes, I was thinking of doing some stuff along those lines. I'll probably add some jars and things to the shelf.

Big Brother:
I tried doing dark foreground stuff, but it just didn't look right - Maybe I'll try it again. But I don't think I'll add any heads... It's a mourge, not Frankensteins lab... :)

PureGhost:
Ah, cool changes! I like the greenish shade, and the curtains are a great idea - I'll definately add that.
You are probably right about the light source as well. I'm always bad with those things...

Kaaz:
Glad you like it, and thanks for the suggestions!

Scummbuddy:
Ah. Drains - Check. Thanks!

Electric_Hare:
A clock is a good idea - I might add  that.
And yes, it is supposed to be a "modern" mourge, although somewhat used, since it is in a small town, without many resources...

Well, I gotta go now. School calls.

...Well, ahem, no - Not a real one. But I have been working on some new backgrounds for Trailing Blood, which actually is a bloody miracle, since I have been down in one of the worst creative lows of my life. I got absolutely nothing creative done for a long period of time, and that included anything for the game, I'm afraid...

But as I said, here is the latest little thingy I've been doing - As the topic line implies, this is supposed to be a mourge/autopsy-place, and so far I have very few ideas on what to put inside it. It is, in other words, very clean. A bit too clean.

So give me all your ideas, critics and suggestions - I need it...

It's true. Like 99.9% of all Swedish women are blonde with large breasts and great bodies (or at least the women in Gothenburg). Andail's pretty hot too...

Yep, anyone who have seen Mel Brooks "The Producers" knows that his is true...

...

Well, at least the bit about Andail...

It's nice, but I can just say the same thing here - The outlines could use some more work. But as said by both Ghormak and Boyd, if that's part of your style, then you should keep it that way.
I'd say his shoulders are a bit broad as well, unless you are going for a really big, macho-type character...
I dig the beer cans, though!

Ghormak:
Heh, great! Another In Flames fan! :) I'm thinking of buying both Colony and Whoracle soon, actually.

Yeah, Doom is a classic, although I never really was a big fan of it.

But I must say that Sylper is absolutely right - Play Outlaws!
It's my absolute favourite among the first person shooters, not only because I love the graphic style and the overall, grim, Sergio Leone-mood of it, but also as Sylph says, it has a story that is different from the ordinary "save planet from hungry zombies or else you'll die"-type of plot...
And then the music... Ooh... Just incredible...
And oh, did I mention you get to light dynamites with you cigar, alá Clint Eastwood as well? Doesn't that just say it all, eh?

Besides Outlaws there are two fps that I have really enjoyed:
Shadow Warrior(I mean, come on - You get to be a NINJA!1!11) and Redneck Rampage(Drunk alien hillybillies with shotguns - Can it get any better?)...
The rest of them I don't really care about... Hehe... :)

Heehee... I like it - Those are really funny - The first one reminded me of something out of Calvin & Hobbes, actually... :)

During Watterson's lesser known acid trip era?

Hehe, well, not really - It's just that you often see Calvin imagining his school teacher as a monster, and that was my first thought when I saw that picture... Just my stupid association skills, I'm afraid... :)
But style-wise it's not very Watterson-like, no. I can agree on that one.

Yup - I'm from Sweden. Around the parts of Sundsvall, in Medelpad.

Men detta har nog diskuterats allehanda gÃ¥nger förut... Räkna med lite smÃ¥arga kommentarer...  :)

Hi, Evopepper - Always nice to see a new face here!

I like the overall style of your sprites, but as Ibex said, the outlines needs some serious work: Never use outlines that are lighter than the colour you need to outline, or a totally different colour - Use either black or darker outlines (Whichever you prefer - Personally I prefer darker ones.), and you'll see the difference. Besides, there is no outlining at all on their arms and faces, which looks a bit inconsistent. I would suggest that you do outlines there as well if you want it to look a bit better.

Otherwise, I've got no real problems with it - Maybe someone else can develop the critisism a bit more?

Anyway - Keep on practicing, man, and good luck!

Don't think I've said it before, so I'll say it now - Kickass artwork, I love the style and the themes. Keep up the good work!

Finally finished!  Good stuff, Squinky!  I loved the ending.  Can't wait for Part 2.

I second that totally, except for the finished part... Bloody turtle... :)
Great game, Squinky!

Yeah - Nice to hear that Monkey Wrench is back in production, Snake!
I just know it'll prod some serious buttock when it's finsihed, my good man... :)

And it's nice to hear about LE's storyline as well - I hope you got some sense to it... Be sure to inform me when you need assistance in any way!
