Ah yes - The legendary lawnmower scene... That was the first thing I actually heard about Braindead, that some guy was supposed to go berzerk with a lawnmower against a horde of zombies... Just that alone made me think twice about seeing it... :)
Actually, I was more impressed by the Kung Fu-priest... I mean, not only is he a holy man, he also busts zombies in his spare time? I mean, come on, how can you not like that?

Gotta love that zombie-kid as well... He's the the thing that disgusted me the most, to be honest... Ugh...

Remixor:
Thanks for the tip - I will check out ED2 if I get the chance. Walls spewing out unsaid amounts of goo sounds just like what I need right now... :) Hehe...

Definately not the best sword I've ever drawn... Especially among all these kickass entries! One of the best sprite jams ever!

Ok, a discussion about Horror movies and NOT mention "Psycho" - My personal favourite? That's gonna be tough...  :)

Nah, but seriously, I've never really been a total horror-buff, but I have to admit, there are some that are really, really good, supernatural or not...

- Halloween (1978)
Low budget? Yeah.
Good? Sure is.
John Carpenters cult classic skips the blood/gore and focuses a lot more on moods and the fear of knowing that there is someone out there...

- Night of The Living Dead (1968)
Another low budget movie that became a cult classic. Not entirerly flawless, but definitely a really creepy movie.
I really need to see that rest of Romeros Zombie-triology...

- Evil Dead (1981)
Just saw this one recently, and it is really, really scary. I usually don't consider gore to be a plus in any movie(Well, maybe in Braindead, but then I don't consider that to be a real horror movie either...) but in this film it didn't really disturb me that much - It just made it a lot more creepy, in my opinion...
And one thing's for sure: I'm not going down into the cellar of our cabin up in the woods. Ever.

- The Birds (1963)
As a fanical lover of Hitchcock's films, I just had to mention this one - The first of his movies that I ever saw. Back then it scared the shit out of me, and even though it can seem pretty tame today, I still get that wierd feeling while walking past a huge flock of birds...

- The Shining (1980)
Already mentioned a lot, so I'll just say this:
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

There's a lot more good ones as well, but damn it if I can think of any more at the moment...

"Jurtjyrkogården 2" is "Pet Semetary 2" in english, and oddly enough, I saw that movie just two days ago with a couple of friends... Horrible movie, though...

Well, it might be sick, but I just think it's a damn good movie. It's thought-provoking, you might say... I just love it, to be honest.

And no - I don't go out beating up old drunkies with my droogs during my spare time either.
No, Really!  I do know most of the lines by heart, though... Ahem... :)

"Vidy well, little brother - Vidy well!"

EDIT:
Ah, Remixor beat me to point there - If you actually find the violence and rape appealing in ACO, then, well... Somethings not right...
Me, I like it because it shows the transformation of Alex from a freely thinking psychopath into a law-abiding but brain-washed citizen. The question you have to face is: Which is better?
And yes, we are straying from the topic. Forget ACO now and have a Happy Halloween!

Aye - Happy Halloween, y'all! Even if I can't really identify with all this craze around the whole holiday, it's a bit fun, I can admit that...
Boo and stuff.

...Now, let's all get to our VCR's and insert "A Clockwork Orange", righty-right, O my brothers and only friends?
And then we'll have some eggiewegs and a bit of moloko plus on top of that, eh?

YOU NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR COMPUTER!

BUY SOME RAM AND A DVD DRIVE!

It's that simple? Wow, thank you and thank you again, DG! You have made out lives so much easier now! Long live DG!

Because you're both the same person.

Go start your own fight club, Tyler!

No, no - That's not possible - I think it's just the time difference up here in...

...

...Although, that would explain that nasty gunwound in my throat that's been pestering me the last months...

Alright - I remember playing the demo version of this one a long time ago! It was a fiesta-o-fun, but I got stuck somewhere along the line... Can't remember where, though...

Downloading right away - I'm gonna skip Halloween this year and play TIM all night! Oh yeah.

Ooh - Nice to see that someone is going to use the DW1-style for their graphics for a change!
The biggest thing I can see is as kaaZ said: The outlines should probably be black if you want more of a DW-style to it.

Dear DG MacPhee:

Here's a question me and my friends have been pondering on for quite a long time:
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Please help us, we have the woodchuck already, but how much wood should we chuck?

Ooooooh.... Pretty... Oh, how pretty...
No, but seriously, this is truly amazing. I don't know how you expect us to critisize this, since it is totally flawless in my eyes... Just... Kickass, simply...

And btw, I don't know if you intended this or not, but I got a big Tim Burton-vibe when I first saw this picture... And I like that... :)

QuoteYes, I'm from Finland. :)

Ah, I almost suspected that. Hehe.
Great new picture as well - I can't find anything wrong with it, really. Show us more!  ;)

Mm, indeed! I like the style a lot - But make sure you keep the same style throughout the game, as Migs said, otherwise it'll look rather inconsistent...

Hm... Actually, it looks suspiciously like our swedish woods... You from any part of scandinavia? :)

Oh, hell yeah! Now we're cooking with charcoal!
Pfft, who said that adventure gaming was dead? No way!
It is merely a bit... Tired.

BS1 is a brilliant game, and BS2 was also great, but not quite as good as the predecessor, so if it follows the sequel-traditon it will be the worst game of them all...

But...
...As an insane optimistic when it comes to the future of adventure games, I get excited about this one as well, when I hear Ali's promising words...
Hopefully it'll be a really good game, that's all I can say... :)

Hey, Snake - I'm glad you decided not to lock the thread.
It's sad that LE has been "put to sleep" for a while, but I hope that we can continue working on it soon again - Helping out with the storyline for LE hasn't just been really fun, but also a great learning experience when it comes to doing good storylines and general plotting... Kickass, in other words!

Okeydokey, not that I actually would want a country of my own, but IF I had one, I would like to do like this:

National Anthem: Iron Maiden - "The Number of The Beast" (Alt."Angel of Death" with Slayer or "Vinum Sabbathi" with Electric Wizard, depending on what mood I'm in...)
Abolish poverty.
Abolish racism.
Make sure that everyone has at least one hour of Adventure Gaming every day as a part of their education.
Make sure that everyone sees the movie "A Clockwork Orange" as a part of their education.
Lower the prices on cd's!
Elect Mr. Terry Pratchett as the official Minister of Laughter and Good Books.
Zany british sit-coms shall be broadcasted instead of all these bloody reality-tv-series...

And of course, not to forget, everyone must do as I obey. All the time. Or I will send them to Sibiria.

Yeah, since I myself am on dial-up, I agree - It doesn't exactly speed things up... A good cropping is what it needs...

The picture itself is not bad - The arms are too short, though - They should reach a bit below the waist to be anatomically correct.
His legs could also use a straightening - They bulge a bit too much as it is now, I'm afraid - It looks like he's about to crap his pants, to be perfectly honest...
Maybe you could work on his face a bit as well - It's a bit simplistic, me thinks.

But a good job, anyhow! I like the style a lot.

Hey, kickass! And I thought I was the only AGS:er with an Elfwood gallery... Kind of stupid of me, when you think about it, actually...

Well, here's mine - Updated it not too long ago, but most of it is old stuff... I do have some new pieces I'm gonna upload as soon as the extranet is back in action again, though...

You definately should, man - Elfwood is a great place if you want comments and critics on how to improve your artworks, and there's always lots of really good pictures around for you to watch...  Just lovely, in other words... :)

Downloaded it yesterday, man - Will test it as soon as possible, and then I'll get back to you...
