Hehe, I wasn't aiming to make a perfect version of the picture, I just wanted to make some small changes so that it'd be easier to understand what to change... ;) Hehe...

Btw, Synth - That computer looks great!

Neole:
Thanks!

General Discussion / Re:metallica - st. anger

I may be one of the few people who really thinks that Metallica sounds more vicious than in a long time...(As you can see, my Avatar has already been influenced by the record...)  I've listened to the soundclips on www.metallica.com, and the only thing that sounds bad to me is the sound of the drums. But otherwise, it sounds better than both Load and Re-Load. Appearantly they will have more progessive elements in the songs as well, which pleases me - Being a lover of "...And Justice For All"... ;D

Still - I doubt they will ever return to the "good ole' days".  But they might be going a small step in the right direction, though...

If you want to have a listen, check out the St. Anger Player here.

This one is nice:

"Screen farts of 320x200, 320x240, 640x400, 640x480, and 800x600 are cuntlicked. Your game can be run full-screen or in a fucking window."

Hehe, I agree - This is darn funny, especially the one that Remixor linked to... ;D

Just started playing your game yesterday, and it sure looks great! The graphics are terrific.
Although when I looked at the ticket salesman in the booth, the game crashed.  Better fix that one if you haven't already... ;D
And when you click on "Ver" on the menu, it still says "Night Of The Raving Feminst"...

Great job anyway!

Ok, even though I'm no expert at this at all, I can give you a few general tips:

- Try to avoid black outlines, and instead use darker shades of the colours you have.
- If you are using paint (Like me... ;D ) it is an advise to avoid the spraycan tool all together. The result usually just looks silly. (Unless you are doing some grafitti on a wall or something like that.)
- The black shapes in foreground is supposed to sort of LEC-like shadows, right? Can't really tell how to make them better, but currently they just look like black holes in the screen.

I also took the liberty to alter your image slightly, just to show you what I mean. I hope you don't mind.

Keep on trying, man, and good luck!

So do I! ;D
Really looking forward to hearing it, man!

Sure looks like a Ninja Slug, alright.
Reminds me of something I  saw on "Tiny Toons" when I was little...

Even though Im not a huge fan of 3D-styled graphics in adventure games, it looks rather nice. And the main character looks great! ;D

Besides, I'm bound to play a game with Black Sabbath featured in the soundtrack... Be sure to include both "Symptom of The Universe", "Children Of The Grave" and "Into The Void"... ;D

Hehe, yeah, but I think they've stopped selling it here too.
Oh well, never was such a huge fan of it anyway...

The west one, no doubt.
And isn't Betty and Veronica two characters from "Archie"?
Or am I on the wrong track?

Fidodido:
Well, that looks nice, but it's not the style I'm going for in the game.
And as Synth says, it gives the impression of a paper soaked in water... ;D
(You made the wall look way better, though. Great!)

Thanks anyway!

Just finished this demo, and It was really good! The animations are smooth, and there is an atmosphere in the game that I really like.
Finish this game as soon as possible!

Aye, updated once more. I don't like how the path turned out, though - I need to work on it some more.

But no fountain, folks. Sorry... ;D

Well, I don't like the music, and I'm not exactly jumping out of my seat when the thing's on tv, but it's rather funny to hear some of the participants...  (Austria was actually really funny! More oddball entries like that! ;D )

So true, so true. I feel horribly guilty when I think of all the times I've cheated in an adventure game... The only one that I passed without one single peek was actually DOTT - Believe it or not.

I did try to get through GK3 without any help, but in the end I just sat there, anxious to get to the climax, and tired of all god damn "do-a-wrong-move-and-get-chopped-in-half"-puzzles...

Discworld 2 was basically finished with a walkthrough from start to finish - But then it was my very first adventure game... The story and the great jokes was probably the thing that kept me going... ;D

Argh... I can't believe I didn't write something about this game earlier! Looks extremely good, and the plot sounds really exciting.
I wanna play! ;D

Thanks everybody for commenting!

I never thought about the benchs position since I don't really visit them that often in real life... A path in front of it is great idea - I'll definately add that!

Custard:
I've been a bit suspicious about the bushes, too. I'l try to make them darker and then we'll see how it looks... ;D

Neole:
Glad you like it! I've done about four or five backgrounds in this style now for my future game.

All right - I edited the picture, hopefully for the better...
#779
I'll add some branches - It does look rather empty otherwise...

Grass in the foreground is also a good idea. I might take your advise there too.
The most important thing about this scene is actually the bench in the background,(There will be a  close-up screen when you walk near it)  so I might put it closer to the screen, and thus making it the "centerpiece"... ;D

Thanks for all your tips, man!

SLaMgRInDeR:
Yeah, I'm going to do that, but I really haven't figured out in which style to do them. At first I thought of doing them swirly alá MI3, but then I realized that it might not fit the more serious attitude of the game.
I'll see what I can do...

Custard:
Already done.
