Critics' Lounge / Re:My First room ever

Not bad at all for a first room, but there are a basic perspective error here, I think. (I often fail on that point myself...)
The chair and the little table should be in align with the baseline behind it, which it isn't at the moment.
Those blue spots on the cupboard and the television(?) also looks a bit curious, but other than that it's a very good job! Love the skull. (Reference to Murray? ;D )

Very good! Nice colours and great, cartoony character!

Ah Eric The Unready is really funny, but I got stuck in it a while ago, and I haven't taken up playing it yet...  ::)
The newspaper is the best part of the game, though... The ads inside it are extremely funny!

General Discussion / Re:I HATE my dad

I agree with the others, Jimi:
Hating someone is to really despise someone so much you could... Well, do really nasty things to the person.
But being irritated by someone is different - I'm almost constantly irritated on my dad, but sometimes he is really nice, and we have a good time.

He mostly nags on me, and tells me that I listen to crappy music, that you can't hear what they sing, and that there's no melody, etc...
What he hasn't quite understand is that it was his Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath-records that made me going for heavier stuff, and that I still listen to those bands frequently, too... ;D
He also rejects the idea of computers all together, and sees Internet as his worst enemy... (Well, it's understandable - He pays my internet bills...)
And sometimes he can have some(In my opinion) quite stupid and prejudice political views, but that's nothing I can change.

Otherwise he is actually doing his best, and it was actually he who tought me to like Monty Python! Hehe...

So - Jimi, I know how you feel, but don't hate your dad unless he is planning to kill you in your sleep or something.  ::)

Although that character looks really cool, he doesn't look that scary, though...
Well, wouldn't it be sad if you had to scare yourself. ;)

Yeah, that would be bad - I mean, since when was a horror game designed to scare people, eh? ;D

Btw, I just meant that he looked kind of funny when I first saw him, but I'm sure it'll be different when you play the game.

Great, as usual! Rather disturbing perhaps, but cool! ;D

Ooh - Sounds horrifying enough for me to play it... ;D
Although that character looks really cool, he doesn't look that scary, though...

Oh well, enough of my yappin' and good luck with the game!

Just bumping to say I've edited and uploaded some characters. Enjoy...

Helm:
That's probably true, I'm considering buying both of them and Wolverine Blues. I bought Morning Star recently though, and it was really good. (But Uprising looks good as an avatar, doesn't it?)

Sorry for the slight off-topic...  ;D

except of course Rhodan, who has that fabulously long animation to sit through before he invariably replied usefully and succinctly.
Yeah, that was quite a drag, wasn't it? And he very seldom had any sensible answer anyway.
"Madam lodestone? Ah! The fount of all relief! Relief... Mhm..."
(That's why I choose Malaclypse... ;D )

Argh - Looks great! I wouldn't mind testing this game... ;D

Btw: The GUI reminds me of this game I've just started playing: "In The Dead Of The Night", where all the options and commands pop up if you hold in the right mouse button.
Doesn't sound bad at all!

Looks like a pretty morbid RON-game... That's great! ;D
I hope there will be humour so black you almost can't see the screen...
#853
Yipes - Neole, these are great!
I like dark and gloomy pictures, and when you put in semi-nude chicks too, it's perfect.  Both are disturbingly cool, anyways.  ;D

Yes, very nice. I really like your style, but as said previously: The nose needs a fix... ;D
Great work!

Nice graphics! Could be a really good game, this.

Just one thought: Isn't the two guys at the bar in Gabriel Knight 1 called Sam and Lucas? ;D
#857
Oh no, not those damn horses again... A friend of mine has that on his computer, and for a while he tortured me with that tune until I almost got mad... Mad... Mad... Gn... Nice horsey...
;D

I was mostly worried about the fact that there was no Eric Idle in the game, but as soon as I got into the storyline,(Which is absolutely brilliant, btw!) I forgot about the other games completely. (Besides, Nigel Planer alsmost compensates for his absence... Almost...)

DWN, in my opinion, only has one real negative side, and that is the overwhelming darkness. (Pier 9, the warehouse)
But what the heck, it's Noir, isn't it?

"Suddenly it came over me that everything would go wrong. It's sounds crazy, but it's true, so help me. I couldn't hear my own footsteps - It was the walk of a dead man..."  ;D

Wow, I'm impressed. Looks great.

Ok, I'll keep an eye open for them... ;D
