This is my first game so please give some feedback. And before you ask, there is no such Knight's Quest 1-3. I decided to jump straight in with number 4 to see what reaction I got. Enjoy!


Download Now! Your game and Young Gabriel King are connected when they are both downloaded.  When you go back into either of the games, It only give you one option to reload and not the two options of either game.  I just emailed Young Gabriel King author to let him know.

Started playing your game,,,,quit it for awhile and then downloaded KQ4 - Here today, gone to yesterday.  So then when I went back into your game to reload it and continue, I get the reload from KQ4 instead.  So I cannot finish your game.
Did you know there was this bug involved??

I don't get any main file, just small kb files.....

This is not a AGS game but an AGI game. I wondered if anyone here had played it and knows where I might find some hints or tips about it. I have the: spellbook, gold, rope, note, float and some apples. I need to get the ball down from the tree for Percy and the logical thing would be the rope but I can't use it with the tree??? Help anyone?

Firstly I wanna say that this game is amazing, the hi res graphics really blkew me away and the puzzles are really well thought of. However I need help getting the whisky bottle! I have the wrench, record, waterbottle, cigarette and cat but I just need to whisky. Any help would be great!

Did you get the firecracker (petard) at the store?  Did you get anything from the bar that would go with the firecracker?  Put them together and get a bang out of it.....

This is really a cute game.  I love the Ron games

I wonder why Joyce hasn't registered yet. I mean he HAS been really big help in the Hints ant tips -section already.

Joyce is a SHE....And yes, she is one of the biggest helpers in this forum....She deserves the award.....

when you come out of the ship, before you go to building, there is a rock, you have to use the translating book on it to find out what it is first then you use the cell on that to charge it

I was going thru the 'hints' pages and found this.  Have you ever been able to play the game?

I had no trouble downloading the game and playing it, but when I end it and then go back into the game to load, the whole thing shuts down and I get a microsoft error message.  Can't seem to load game again, so I deleted it and that's that.

Oh I am so Sorry,. Another Senior Moment.  That's where I put the Paint.     Thank you.....I am so mad at myself for deleting this game.  It was cute  I guess I have to download it again.  Could I have gotten the paint back out of the ball?

Are there any instructions for this game. I've read the few posts that there are here but they don't address the basic operations.

Go to the top of this forums page and press SEARCH.  Type in Digital Spell and then you will see lots of hints, etc. but go to the one that says  September Mags, Digital Spell   There are a lot of clues there.

I got into the van and messed with the computer, and put the paint into the round metal ball. I got the swiss army knife, the blue cup, the sticker, the salt and the snail. I don't know what to do next?

where do i get the swiss army knife and how do i get the snail to go faster.  Gave her coffee but that didn't work.

Nevermind......got the knife and won the race with snail......gave the alcohol to space person   Now what?  Forget all, my yellow paint disappeared from my inventory and I don't want to reload again.  So, game finished......

Looks like a cute game, but I am having lots of trouble with it.  It freezes on me alot and when it does go from one scene to another, it goes black and takes a long time to come back again.  Anyone else having this problem???

It should work fine on most any modern computer system.

If you have an older/slower computer, this may be a part of why the game is running slow.  From the Winsetup file, you can try to adjust a few things to perhaps improve perfomance. Select "No Digital Sound" and "Disable Music", as well as Un-Checking the "Use digital music pack..." and "Use speech pack" options. From the "Advanced" setting you may try adjusting the Maximum Size ram cache to a higher (or possibly lower) number to see if that helps.

Also, disable all background programs you don't need running at the time, as background programs can also slow down the overal performace of programs you want to run as well.  Okay, those are just a few suggestions to try.

What version of windows you running? You could perhaps try installing the most recent drivers for your graphics-card and recent version of DirectX if you haven't already done so (do so at your own risk though, and it's good to make a "System Checkpoint" before making such changes).

I have windows xp so I don't see why this game should freeze up the way it does.  And I have lots of space left for the size of the game.  And nothing else is running at the same time as this game. But thanks anyway.....

I just checked to see which one I downloaded from and I think it was the 2nd mirror, the one that says the file is called fma.exe

There is a forum for this game, here it is, maybe if you asked over on that forum, or had a look to see if anybody else had the problem. I remember now having one problem where I had got to a point and the game crashed on me but there was a patch posted on that forum so I d/l that and I had no problem after that. Think it was because I was playing in Windows98 and not Xp but can't remember but that was the only problem I had.

I had look but did not find anything for Five Magical Amulets, so that is why I asked you for 'help' on the other one. I took a chance.  I am also playing in Windows98.  Once I downloaded the game , I have 5ma_setup and not fma.exe.  I wonder if that is my problem.  I have spent the whole afternoon trying to get that 8.0 or 9.0 DirectX and almost screwed up my computer.  It froze a few times.  I wonder if Rosie got wme.exe like you or 5ma_setup like me.  Hope she reads this post and might be able to shed some light.

I will try the forum you mentioned and see if anyone else has this problem.

Hi Sunshine..... I have windows xp  and I had no trouble downloading that game.  I got exe.  and it put an icon on my desktop.  What is the exact problem?  Are you trying to download the game and it is not working??
Try going to the game and see if the author can give you some clue as to why you are getting setup instead.
Lots of luck........  We need more good games on ags......

Hi Rosie and thank you for answering.

I have windows 98 and I also have an icon on my desktop but when I try to play the game I get a message that I need DirectX 8.0 version or latest.  When I try to download 8.0 or 9.0 (which I spent the afternoon doing) my computer crashes and I have to reload and reload and reload. I did post for help on the author's forum and am waiting for an answer.

I was wondering, to download the game you had a few choices of mirrors.  I chose www.adventuredevelopers.com/downloads/.  Is that where you downloaded your game
