They also need the sprites file to see any of the objects and such.

Ryan Timothy would say that code proves you're a terrible programmer, Khris. :)
Bah. In a real programming language, mostly yes. But with AGS script being so shite in comparison, no. It gives you little to work with.

Primordia came up on the Community's Choice vote. I voted for it. Now, everyone give it hell and push the popularity of it and adventure games. ;)

Erm, you know you can use Copy/Paste to copy error text to the forum, right?
Perhaps adding a Copy button to that error report form. It would help with issues like this or no one copying it at all, and it's a simple addition. ;)

Room Hotspots   50   256   restriction imposed by palette of a 8-bit mask
Room Regions   16   256   restriction imposed by palette of a 8-bit mask
Room Walkable Areas   15   255*   *walkable area 0 is technically not a walkable area
Room Walk-Behinds   16   255*   *walk-behind 0 is technically not a walk-behind
I'm confused by this. Regions and Hotspots, both have 0 as the "erase" index. Unless you simply just didn't write that for those 2.

And good work on this.

@Icey Games: RPG Maker is on sale for $24.

Yes that was definitely a bad screenshot if you wanted to display what this module does. I recommend changing it.

As for the demo game, that was pretty impressive. What is the scanlines.txt for, and with that question, why do you output it as a txt with raw ints instead of a binary file? That way the player is not wondering what this text file is and if they should read it.

Eg:  Bug Reports - Adventure Game Studio Forum

That would probably be the most logical arrangement if you were to change the way it is.

And a ghost chick that talks about sexual positions and locations!

This is now becoming the most exciting Blackwell yet!

And here I thought Monkey Island was a family game. Apparently not.

Ryan, FTL is already there!
Excellent! Thanks for the heads up. I purchased it as soon as I got home from work.

I've been eyeing up that Endless Space game as well.. I've always been a huge fan of Homeworld, but I don't know if I want to consume that much time right now. Hmm. Does anyone know if it's worth the time?

Edit: Ha! I knew that was going to happen! I could've saved a whopping $2.50 if I would've just waited an extra day. Darn diddly dang it. ;)
That's like... like... 2 beers!

Yep, which means I'll always be known for my BJs...
I'm sure those are fine too, but I personally think you'll always be known for your backdoor, man.  :-*

If FTL goes on sale, I may scoop it up.
Also if there are any Elder Scrolls type games up on sale, do let me know. I have a hard time connecting with my phone right now. Their servers must be busy.

What genre do you prefer?

I believe it should be updated whenever you hit enter or possibly even when you type a semicolon.

That too. What I meant though, in my opinion, was that an animating background is generally always overkill. Where you could have separate objects (layers) animating in smaller sections instead. Of course though, some need an entire background to animate.

I would probably wrap it in something more complex.
You should always wrap your tool of Love.

DYNAMIC ROOMS: Why just five backgrounds?  Why?  Being able to have more backgrounds per room, or even better being able to dynamically change light levels on the background (e.g. night time) would hugely speed things up.
I disagree with having animating background in the first place. But if I were to make an adventure game system, I'd have background images imported as sprites - that way anything can be a background image - even a dynamic sprite.

Have you got something to hide, Adeel?  (laugh)

Great work everyone. I'll start playing the games real shortly to give my votes and comments. When is the voting deadline?

I second this. Until then we also need to get the source .psd file for dark#1 and dark#2. Otherwise it's no better than before - nifty screen but just a flat jpeg in the end.
I'm quite confident I could remake the PSD, if either of those 2 are winners, and still having it look identical.
