I'm not the most technically savvy user, but is that even possible with AGS?

It "could" be done if you were to add a room before release that accesses the downloaded text script and the images that go with it. But you wouldn't be able to create a room with a unique walkable area and such without having it made before releasing the game. Unless you were to create your own walkable areas.

But I believe his type of DLC is already made and released with the final version just awaiting an unlock code. Which I agree is quite pathetic.

Which I honestly believe should be changed. Where you manually type in a Room_Load function the editor would ask you "Would you like to link this function to the room event Room_Load?"
I hate having to load the room editor just to add a function. You don't need to do it to add an event, repeatedly execute, or repeatedly execute always, etc, functions into a global script, why have it backwards with a room script (not that there is an editor for the global scripts, just saying)?

In one game. That doesn't reference five other games. And without DLC.

Perfect.  (nod)

(laugh) I guess I had skipped passed your post Khris and hadn't noticed you were explaining the same thing, with directions. Doh. (I'm an idiot)

Edit: What Khris got you to do was change your DNS nameserver lookup to Google. Your previous DNS couldn't find "www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk" and wouldn't redirect you to the proper IP address.

He literally meant he doesn't care what the title screen, logo, credits, or anything that isn't directly related to the game are; meaning: don't put so much time into them. He wants the meat between the bread. The actual game.

Edit: Also this thread should be moved to the rumpus room.

You approach a man in a house.
Man: I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
You: Umm.. I'm sorry. I don't go that way.
Man: I'm sorry! I swear I was practicing my proposal.

Haha man, I love writing like this in RPGs :D.

So YOU wrote this terrible writing!? I should've known 304, I should've known. ;)

Somewhat speaking of RPG games, has anyone played the Zenonia games on the Android or iPod? I've only played a couple hours of the first game and honestly, I have no idea what's going on. Something about his dad dying from a demon and he has to go on a mysterious quest of which I'm not sure what the driving force is.

The writing is terrible. They often confuse "it's" with "its" or "your" with "you're" etc etc. It's very difficult to read. Childish writing. One example was something like (written by memory - it's not exact):
You approach a man in a house.
Man: I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
You: Umm.. I'm sorry. I don't go that way.
Man: I'm sorry! I swear I was practicing my proposal.

It's got to be some of the worst writing I've seen in a commercial game. Only reason I'm still playing it is because I've dropped 99 cents into it. :(

The graphics and gameplay are seemingly okay. Except for any cutscene. You instantly transport from one location to another as minutes/hours/days/weeks/months/years pass by (I have no idea because it doesn't say). One moment during a long cutscene I was in a grassy area, the next I was suddenly in a snowy town. I have no idea how much time has passed or why I couldn't just walk there myself? Oh well..

The DNS server does not respond...  (Domain Name Server)
Do you know what DNS nameserver you're using?

https://www.grc.com/dns/alternatives.htm

Is it possible that's the issue?

Next time you're playing around with the forum, could you change the area where you assign your avatar. Adding the size to the text that's currently there:

Specify your own avatar by URL (size: 120 x 120)

I just had a quick error when I tried to access the Forum Reports sub forum.

PHP Warning:  require_once(C:\Web\AGS\yabb\Sources\Load.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Web\AGS\yabb\index.php on line 53
PHP Fatal error:  require_once(): Failed opening required 'C:\Web\AGS\yabb\Sources/Load.php' (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in C:\Web\AGS\yabb\index.php on line 53

It had no issues a second later when I tried again.

I've noticed it's still missing and was mentioned earlier. How are you supposed to get the forum name from someone? There's the visible name and the forum name. It's needed for the games page, unless you've changed how that works.

Just click on the A-Z list on the right column and sort by date. I do agree this is a little difficult to find. It should be within the browse section.

Or sorted above the Browse on the right column.

Is there a website or an app that alerts you of specials or price drops on the Android marketplace?

Have you tried to rebuild the files and send them to him again? There may have been a compiling problem, a zipping problem, or an issue with him downloading it.

Sounds like a pointer to a non-existent dynamic sprite (one that got prematurely deleted). Do you have a sprite numbered 228 in your sprite manager?

Sorry what's the purpose of the buddies list exactly? Does it have any advantages?

Only because I'm such a kind young lad, here you go:

I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep with the current style being "Download This Demo!" or just simply use "Download Demo!".
