General Discussion / Re: Free Steam keys!

Stealth Inc 2 is available for free on Humble Indie Store. Not sure if it's temporary - I could've sworn it wasn't free half a day ago but heavily discounted.

Well I must say that it's good to see this got fixed.

In order to post a new thread here:
  • Must be made with AGS

you want people to write their forumposts with AGS? :=

I knew someone would confuse it! Damnit!
It's okay, one day we'll replace all the rules with YouTube videos!

How about you also update the big wall'o'text seen here in the board rules sticky with something like this:

In order to post a new thread here:
  • Must be made with AGS
Games that are not made with AGS must be posted in General Discussion board
  • Your game MUST be finished
If your game is not finished it belongs in AGS Games in Production board
  • The thread must be the name of your game
A thread with the name "My new game" etc, is not acceptable
  • Include a brief description or synopsis of what the game is about
If it's not an adventure game, make this fact clear. Try to include at least ONE screenshot.
  • Is your game in English?
If not, include the language in the thread title (ie: Game Title - Spanish)
After posting your game, why not take the time to also add it to the AGS game database? The database allows users to rate and comment on your game, and also allows you to keep track how many times it was downloaded.

One funny thing is that posting your non-AGS game in the AGS games completed section will actually result in doubling your overall possible viewer count. "This topic has been moved to General Discussion." - click here auto-post.

Honest mistake or an attempt at getting twice the viewings? Hmmm... 8-)

Recently the internet just blew up about Windows 10 storing your wifi passwords in the Microsoft cloud. This is what Google and I believe Apple have been doing for how many years now with mobile? I don't get why when it's happening with a computer they suddenly get butt-hurt about it [excuse my Canadian language].

You can disable it either way, but why do they feel they're being violated somehow? I agree there should probably be a checkbox when you add a wifi connection saying "Remember this password in the cloud" or other.

I'm going to revive this thread with the blue cup my good lady got for me for Christmas. It's blue and it's geeky. It's what I've always wanted! (nod)

Oh wow! He's much too good looking to be on the radio!

Congratulations on the release! (I still haven't fully played through the original game yet :-\ I got stuck somewhere and forgot to ask for help)

Yes it's likely bots have either focused on this thread, or just sneaky random Steam game collectors who aren't of AGS. I recommend the PM me approach honestly. Or if it's possible, get AGA to prevent non AGS members from viewing this thread.

Jimmy examines the card on the ground.  It reads:  Token of Gratitude: On behalf of the Sisterhood of International Spies and Sabateurs (SISS), our agent would like to sincerely express their appreciation of your unwitting assistance in their mission.  Use this card to redeem a free luxury automobile at participating retailers.  EXP 31-12-17.  This card will self-destruct in 10 seconds.
Nooooooooo! Reading the card causes it to self destruct! We're in an endless loop of blowing shit up. ;)

Glad to hear he's better now.

I also went through a tragic event on the 11th. My girlfriend's nephew Andrew, of 15 years old was playing soccer and collapsed in the field - two medically trained spectators immediately jumped on his aid but there were zero life signs. They did chest compressions for over an hour until he was finally taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

He was a damn good kid. I was fortunate enough to have seen him the very day before he died. Very active and very kind. The night we last saw him, he actually mowed his grandmother's lawn with those old school "people powered" lawnmowers. He just wanted to mow her lawn and stay fit. Sad. Very sad. Autopsy showed nothing wrong with him, heart simply went into bad rhythm.

One good thing has come from this tragic event though. His parents and family started a fundraising for defib units, which very possibly could have saved his life. Two units have already been donated from I believe the company that makes them, and there's also enough funding for 4 more.

Always tell your loved ones you love them because you'll never know when it's your last chance. I regret not giving him a hug the last day I saw him. :(

I did not know about this until today. It aired 6 months before 9/11.

Edit: But anyway, the only conspiracy theory I'm willing to give any consideration to is that a government entity set the whole thing up - it's plausible but I don't give it much weight. Any theories with the planes being a "distraction" and that there was actually explosives in the buildings, or an "energy beam" (which is the WORST theory by far) is complete bullocks IMO.

I get really upset with what this generation does where they try so hard to believe that something is more than it is.

This is why if a government had knowledge of extraterrestrial life - they would undoubtedly hide it. Just imagine the chaos if we can't believe two planes knocked down two towers.

I'm all for questioning events, but WTF Judy. Wtf.

General Discussion / Re: Star Wars Movies
Tue 21/04/2015 18:54:13
I don't follow Star Wars much, but after having seen both teaser trailers, I'm QUITE certain the main protagonist is the girl we see in both videos. She's likely Luke's daughter or possibly his niece.

I believe it follows closely to the idea of what they're trying to do with the Ghostbusters reboot. If they were to get a bunch of random male actors to reboot the franchise it would feel like a violation against what we all used to love. But with female characters it would feel like a completely different movie - one I'd personally be more excited about than a male cast reboot. There would be no "He's not a good Bill Murray/Dan Aykroyd etc" because they're women versions of these characters - they're not supposed to be the same.
