Here's me composing for my new game with the helkp of my two musical consultants:

Fans of the Princess Marian games will recognise the ladybird playmat from part II

I'll try and have a go, but we'll see how it goes!

Maybe we should nominate the worst 10 n00bs and call it "Lame Academy"  ;D

Vel could give a pimping masterclass

m0ds could lecture on how to finish a game

But everyone would drop out during the first round and only two would be left by its end, anyway  :P

I respect the Pope for standing up for what he believed in, even though it was terribly unfashionable and condemned by many. On the other hand, I think that he was totally wrong on contraception and did a great deal of harm through that. I hope that the new pope sees things differently, but I think that it is unlikely.

The max number of overlays mentioned in the help file still says 10. It's probably worth checking that those other limits are still valid, too.

But I don't believe as pope he's furthered humanity greatly.

For example, the big news stories on the BBC web site about the pope's life are his election, his shooting, a plot to kill him, and his death.

Don't want to pressure, but are we ever going to find out the winner?

Adevnture Gamers Underground had a completely ridiculous and unfeasible April 1 joke.

Clean your teeth and take chewing gum, especially if there's any possibility of eating garlicky food at any point on the date.

And make sure your friend wasn't pulling an April Fool, like: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/04/01/bush_twins_volunteer/ or http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/04/01/steve_jobs_joins_ikea/

Maybe you could have a game where each character is trying to murder some NPC who wanders around the game. You can only kill him when no-one else is in the room. You can make agreements with others to help you kill the guy, but no-one can ever be sure whether another person did actually do the deed. You could lock doors, etc to aid being on your won with the guy, or your accomplice could guard the door. You could also have Double Jeapoardy and false imprisonment: so everyone could gang up on one person to get them convicteed even if they didn't do it, or someone could be found innocent and yet did do it, and so can then admit they did do it and not be prosecuted...

Ok, I've just returned from an easter break to find that my main hard drive has died, so I'm afraid it's going to be a while before I get things back up and running to continue development of AGS. I'll look at these reported issues whenever I can do so.

3 days early, CJ

Yeah, and Eric and CJ like to find out if its possible for you to complete a game before giving detailed instructions on how to do something quite difficult. Or you could search the froums for the TCP/IP plugin....

I'll leave the pre-final up for at least 2 weeks

Awww, and I  had been hoping that you'd do an April 1st thread where you told everyone they'd have to rewrite all their scripts to use the new AGS.... and then tell them it WASNT a joke  ;)

When they get older, I hope to introduce my two daughters to adventure game classics (such as the Princess Marian games, etc. ) and also to help them draw pictures and make up their own games with AGS. I'll be so proud when they post thjeir first forum game annoucnement here saying "Here is my first game with AGS. It has one room and the graphics of a 6 year old. I hope I win lots of awards"

Seriosuly, though, I wish I had AGS when I was a stripling and I think it could encourage creativity. Also, if my daughters play any games on a computer (other than those on nickjr.co.uk, etc.) then I'd much ratyher they played adventures than somehting like Doom 3 or GTA.

So, I'll just let them play Phantasmagoria 2... ;)

Well, I think it would be a good idea to have it written up by the time that AGS 2.7 is released, which may be April 1st.... with the new shareware licence ;)

I dunno if CJ would consider distirbuting the guidelines with the release?

Also, once 2.7 is out, I want ot do a proper release of my savegame with screenshots module and GUE.
