You could try reading some of the replies to the other two posts that you have made asking the same question.

Hmmm...

Barcik, some other guy nominated you for best in every category, but all I know is this address:

PO Box 1337
Edinburgh
EH13 3TE
UK

Maybe you should send them some cash, too

Musician:
Barcik, remixor, Trapezoid

This is very interesting, as I have never in my life composed a piece of music.

You see how important it is that people nominate: otherwise imposters like Barcik will win categories that they don't deserve  ;)

Don't worry, Darth, I won't tell anyone that it was you that nominated Barcik as a musician.

What AGS games are you looking forward to in 2004?

for myself in no particular order:

Buccaneer II (especially the fight scenes!)
Legend of Leitor's Edge
Monkey Wrench
obilgatory FoY
Awakening of the Sphinx if the lazy creator gets off his ass and works on it a bit more

OK, so after my last announcement I have one more nom in htis thread and two PMs. *sigh*

Look, folks, the ERGOs are already in danger and the FOREGOs are  trying to encourage people to be helpful. So far there's only one category in which there are two people have more than one nomination. So, here's the final chnage to the rules:

1. All nominations must be in by the time I get online next Monday morning (12th) This will be around noon GMT
2. Those who have nominated already may choose others in categories up to a total of 10 per categopry (just liek the AGS Awards)
3. Each category must have at least 2 people with 2 nominations form different people or one person with 4 nominations to be open for final voting. The top 5 qualifying nominees will be available for voting, unless there is only one qualifying nominee with >4  nominations in which case they win without a further vote.
4. Unimplemented suggestion and CJ special award will have the 3 nominations chosen by me

To encourage you to make sure that people don't miss the boat, the follwoing people need seconders  in the follwoing categories:

Best Moderator:
C. Leks, CJ, DGMacphee, MrColossal, Snake

Beginners Tech helpful:
Scorpiorus, SSH

Tech forums contribution:
Proskrito, fjeronimo, AJA

Helpful Artist:
Miez, scotch

Musician:
Barcik, remixor, Trapezoid

Chat contribution:
Yufster, SSH, m0ds

Constructive Crit in Games in Production:
Timosity, evil, Dave Gilbert, scotch

Helpful hinter:

AGA, Inkoddi

Best Gen-Gen contribution:

Yufster, DGMacphee, TerranRich

NB There are other folks nominated for these categories, but they are already qualified. However, if I get a flood of nominations this week (yeah, right) best to nominate youre favorites anyway as they may have to fight to be in the top 5.

Don't delay, nominate today!

EDIT: Ooops, forgot Vel's noms which were on the other computer... fixed

Thanks, m0ds, for making this sticky.

Don't forget to nominate people: I still haven't got that many nominations in, and if there aren't enough then I may not be able to run some of the categories. People who are already nominated, but haven't nominated (if you understand that...) include:

AJA, AGA, Barcik, C. Leks, DGMacphee, Evil, GarageGothic, Inkoddi, Miez, m0ds, MrColossal, Proskrito, Scotch, Scorpiorus, Snake, TerranRich, Timosity, Trapezoid and Yakspit

These people now all have  a vested interest in nominating more people, or else they may not get their own chance at an award (or two)!

You don't have to do all the categories if you're stuck for ideas, and the deadline will be "before I happen to log in on the 5th of January". So get them in by the end of Sunday 4th to be sure and make sure people are recognised for their contribution to these forums.

I'm offline for a while, so have a Merry Christmas everyone!

I thought this year's Ergos should be held separetly from the Rogers, and before christmas instead of in January, as the Rogers are.
So I'm gonna set December 20:th as a preliminary date.

Hmmmm.....

Are you using timer 1 anywhere else? Are you checking it anywhere else? The expired function only returns 1 ONCE, so if you call it twice, even in the same game cycle, it will only work the first time. CHeck all your other scripts and espeically your global and room rep_exs
#4734
I don't know why you think it's difficult, DG...

Bangles Eternal Flame
Housemartens
Beautiful South
Billy Joel before he went bald...
Abba!!!!!

There's a bunch of stuff ingrained in my head from my 3rd and 4th year at uni in the harward bunker at JCMB... (but that's 93-95)

Tori Amos: Cornflake Girl, Under the Pink, etc.
4 Non Blondes: What's Up and Barbarian in the back of my car
Pulp Fiction soundtrack

For your first problem, I must say that I never noticed that there was sucha function to control clickablitity! I woul dhave used a globalint and  put an if around his interaction! Sorry I can't help more...

For the second problem, you need to check the variable character[MAN].walking in your repeatedly_execute. You will probably need a variable to control the effect of this check, too.

The only TV show that seems to be actually innovative these days, in my mind, is 24.

Third season isn't in the UK yet and I missed the first one, but one thing that bugs me about 24 is that Jack's daughter justs runsa round meeting dodgy people. She should carry a gun and shoot everyone she meets because THEY'RE ALL PSYCHOS!

To quote Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert:

Your co-workers (or cow-orkers) are very similar to cows. Here's an example:

1. Cows eat grass and produce manure
2. Your co-workers eat donuts and produce Powerpoint slides

Of course, it isn't the perfect analogy because donuts have sugar and fat added to the flour (that comes from grass), but it will do...
