An idea from an idea: Maybe you could get(beside trophiies) some sort of reward for compos eg. a screw for the coding comp, a canvas for SJ, a pen for the writing comp... .

You are an egocentric comment hungry internet bastard!  := Now doesn't that make you feel better.

What's this, no more screenies?? I want to see more of Earl! Now!  :)

Hi!

That's a really nice style you have. I agree that the face is too rugged and I didn't like the legs. And the skirt. ^^ So I made a paintover:

I don't know if that helps but a paintover nevertheless.

The rules:

* A sprite is supplied, with a theme.
* Participants must use the given sprite for their animation.
* Each competition will last 11 days.
* The starter of each competition will decide on the winner.
* The winner will start a new competition as well as supplying a sprite.

The sprite:

This is Bob, a hunter. He hunts. I want you to animate him hunting or beeing hunted. He can hunt for something(Wolves, bears,...) or someone(G.W.Bush, CJ,...). Be creative! :)

BONUS:

*Blood in massive quantities
*Adding more monsters and creatures to attack him
*Him fighting for his life
*Animate how he takes his Wincherster
.
.
.

I'll judge mostly how smooth the animation is and how creative you are+bonuses! You can use either the side view or the front view. Or both.

Well, that's it. Happy animating everyone.

PS: Trophies? Probably! ^^

/Man, is anyone going to enter at all/

Birdseye view? As far as I recall, there weren't any adventure games(don't count Indy, MI and SQ, they weren't ALL birdseye) that used that king of style.
Well, I remember the excellent DreamWeb used that style of overhead view, but it's about the only one I can think of. Fantastic game too.
Em, can't seem to recall that adv. game.  :-\

When you import a sprite, there's a little dropdown window and next to it is the text: Transparent colour. Set the sprite so you know which colour you want to be the transparent one(EG. Make a black man on a white bg, the top-right pixel is the transparent colour and so every pixel that is white will be transparent).

Well, when I registered on the forum, I didn't know where the 'Insert Quote' button is or the 'Reply with Quote' button for that matter, so I made my own one. :)

Doesn't work, though. And I don't know why.Ã,  :-\

If you try to walk the way you just showed, you'd have a nasty heel injury. You step on the ground with the whole foot, not just with the heel.
Also, it looks like he isn't look relaxed at all eg. the elbow is still bended when he starts walking with the other foot. Ã, Don't get me wrong, your walkcycle is very good, it's just that there's still room for improvements.
Another thing is his knee doesn't seem to bend when the other foot start the circle. Sure, it's seen later on but it doesn't look natural.
IMO you could also do something with the palms to give it a more casual and relaxing look.

But overall it looks very good. If you take my suggestions I think it would look even better.

EDIT: Tuomas beat me to it, I wanted to show that too. ^^

Before: Oh, man, I've got a freaky idea for this one. It'll be slimey and gooey.Ã,  ;D

After: Well, here it is. It should've came out better but GIF animator sux IMO :(:

No sarcazm, it's just that I did a 5sec paintover and YOU didn't comment. ;)
Actually, I never got around playing the game so I'll do it now.

EDIT: Played for 4secs and got stuck at the quarter bit.  :)

ProgZmax, you seem to think the same way as me, I used Venom from here as my reference. ^^

Here's mine:
