You should try a less dark colour for the mouth.
Em, that's his moustache, like hitlers. Kinda a wannabe Hitler or something ;)

But, I'll tell you what I would have suggested. First of all, both arms are a bit short. I'd lenghten them like two or three pixels. Then what I did was shorten the legs by lowering the crouch, not extending the feet.
Then about the jacket. Personally I'd think a brown-ish colour would fit better, with big pockets. at least that's how I've imagined hunters. And you need to make the jacket a bit longer too. Then the left(from the charatcer's eyes) sleeve, I wouldn't bring the sleeveline, the grey line so far to the neck, but stop it at the armpit or what's it that gets sweaty.
Damnit, I even fixed the boots a bit, but :P

Em, thanks, I guess... :). i'll put your opinion into consideration too and improve him.

WINCHESTER rifle, http://www.lauritz.com/s_j/4.asp?itemid=530731&lang=2.
Wow, thanks. That helped too.

Well, thanks guys. I see now why CL is so popular if you're looking for good crits. I'd better start making a paintover as soon as possible.

Ok, here's what I did:

100%

400%

*added a hat. I don't like drawing hair
*made the vest open to give him a less-soldiery look
*removed the belt
*gave the small belt for the rifle a different color
*removed the bajonet

Does it need any more fine tunning?

Em, I want to try the Icon-based module, it's just that does the module need to be like sam&max or something of my desire?
#225
Em, I'd find that useful, especialy for some cases where pixel perfection is required(eg, a door, prison bars, etc.).

Thanks for replying.

The black thingy is supposed to be a smaller belt which is attached to the gun. You know that's a gun/rifle, right?

Hahahaha, this part is the best:

The un-friendly people at the AGS forum are always willing to give a sarcastic remark or "RTFM N00B" reply to even the most intelligent questions, so you should feel right at home. Anyone seen being helpful is immediately banned from the forums for life.

I'm loving the 1st of April.

Hi, I just drew this character, what do you guys think. I used indy for my inspiration(LC indy) 'cause of the CoS project I have going on. Well, here it is:

100%

400%

I'm kinda not satisfied with his right arm(his right, my left) and the belt should be more loose.
Comment, Paintover, Critisize, anything to help me with this pic.

Em, nevermind  ::)

Snape is great but there's still room for improvements:

*Changed his lip to look more angry
*Darkened his clothes
*Made the nose a bit more pointy
*Changed the shape of the skull

Not bad, it's just that you need an anatomy lesson.

Just joking, this isn't the CL. Well, simple is good, but i wouldn't go for too simple. I mean, even Larry Vales had more colors, get it? Make it a little more colorful so that it looks better for the player.

Well, there's something new:

I have decided to change the graphics style, from the old basic adventurey style, to a Cult II style birdseye view.

Birdseye view? As far as I recall, there weren't any adventure games(don't count Indy, MI and SQ, they weren't ALL birdseye) that osed that king of style.

Anywho, keep it up. Saberteeth

Aaaah, I see you read the forum rules :)

Anyway, I hope it works out for you, especialy to prove that you too can make good games, even with bad graphics.

Big Brother, that's some great stuff here!

I'd just like to comment that the badge and beard look a little low_res and not colorful like the rest of the character. But that's like looking for a hair in an egg, right?

EDIT: I mean, to draw better bgs, not using .gif or flash. Well, maybe anims too.   ;)
