Thank you very much, both of you.
If I can't get it working with these then I should just suck on a shotgun muzzle =)

Shit, if I only knew those words...
But many lines of the script in that discussion don't work with 2.72, and oh boy have I tried to find the alternatives for those commands.
Well I'll try some more, thanks anyways.

I tried creating this ultracool floating statusline that I've seen at least in a couple of AGS games "La Croix Pan" for example.
It displays the name of the hotspot / character / object when the mouse cursor is over one of them (duh).

I think I've read every post that I thought would have helped me, but it has been no help, same for the Ags's otherwise very useful help file.
I'm about to script a goddamn noose over here so any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Well my only game, The Big Bad wolf and the...etc etc. was one of these games, that almost disappeared  to the computer heaven.
After I had created like two rooms I lost interest and had the game stand there untouched for like half a year, until I got the adventure touch once again after I finished some Lucasarts games once again.
Then I really worked on it and finally finished it.Although it's not a masterpiece but I'm very damn proud of it.
Now another game as the same stance, untouched sitting on my harddrive, but the problems are more AGS related than inspirational (some weird pixel dithering thingie has appeared after the latest version)

This is pretty embarassing. Forgive me macon, you were right, I had forgotten to change the starting room. Damn. I've changed the version now.
I wonder how many started to wonder this thing and left the game.
Thank you for pointing that out!

I really don't like "strange games" but gave this one a try.
I loved it! Sunglassed chicken, wow.  The puzzles were very nice too, though they only made sense afterwards.
Looking forward to more of your games.

The Rumpus Room / Re: AGS Questionaire!

Name: Sakari

Age: Born 6th of December 1989, so 17 at the moment.

Female/male: Male

1. How long have you been involved in the AGS community?
-Hmm... I've been poking around the forums for a year now, I think. I havent posted much though.

2. Why did you get involved in AGS?
-I really wanted to make my own adventure game, and I really didn't want to learn to program.

3. How do you feel that the fact that AGS is a freeware programme affect the community that has built up around it?
-I think more people are attracted to freeware than commercial products, and of course the author
gets more respect from the community, because he has given his product to communitys use for free.

4. How big a part does the AGS community play in your life?
-Well since I have no other life than sitting on the computer, it's important for me that I can create something in some way.

5. Have you been involved in making any games using AGS? You may list them if you want
-The Big Bad Wolf and the Three little pigs is my first game, and I made it completely by myself.

6. Answer these questions if you have been involved in making AGS games:

a. Were you interested in game design/programming before you started using AGS?

-I've always been interested in making adventure games. I've also tried creating levels for FPS games, but it never worked out for me.

b. If no, do you feel that you would have got into game design without AGS?
-Well I can still answer this: I think that I would have left to whole idea of creating my own
adventure game, if I never had found AGS.

c. Do you make games using other programmes, either freeware or not? How does the experience differ?
-Nope.

d. Has AGS inspired you to try and take up game design professionally?
-Well sometimes the idea spins around my mind, but I really try to come up with a job that is related to movie making. So the answer is: a bit.

7. Do you feel that there is a gender divide in the AGS community?
- Well I have only seen a couple of females here, so I really can't say anything to this one.

8. Are you likely to feel differently about a game if you discover it’s made by a female? In what way?
-Yes. I think it brings a whole different feel to any game.

9. Do you feel that AGS makes it easier for females to get involved in computer game design? In what way?
-Yes. Anyone, even females can make an AGS game, but I don't think it really opens any pathway to professional game designing for either males or females.

10. Do you feel that there is a difference between the types of games created by males and females?
- Yes, I think that females put more thought on the story than males in general.

11. Any other comments?
-Nope.

Indy: Fountain of youth, Indy: Crown of Solomon and last but no way the least:
Fester Mudd & the Curse of the Gold.

I say Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, it has some replay value, you really feel the "adventure" when travelling around the globe, it has humor, romance and action, plus interesting fictional facts about Atlantis.
That doesn't mean that all the other adventures suck, some of them are very, very, very great too.

Yay! This is now the third game that I add to my "wanted" list.
Really good job with the graphics.

Thanks paolo, I'll fix it as soon as possible =)

Thanks Mordalles
I included much swearing, because I thought that if I'm going to rape a known tale, then I'll rape it good. I mean it would be a bit weird that they slit each others stomachs open but don't swear. And English is not my first language so it doesn't feel so bad to me, I couldn't do so much swearing in Finnish =).

Thank's to everyone who played this game, liked it or not.
And marlamoe: I surely will make more games, but right now I'm gathering energy as this game took a year to finish =D, it was a bit too much for a first game...

kiwi, you must activate the new dialog by looking at the helium tank, look at it first and then talk to our dear doctor. This thing has caused much trouble to players, I'm sorry =)

You're missing something, do a little hotspot search in the bar.
