FLukeblake is 16 now?

I still firmly believe in my policy: "Born in the 90s? Shush now, future child"

Was this Swordwielder or Goldies problem?

I love you Limpy.

I always find people who are so forceful with atheism confusing. It's like people who wear those celibacy rings, forcing the thing they least believe in, into people's faces:

"i'm not having SEX. look you can see i'm not having SEX. this ring shows everyone how much i'm not having SEX. SEX"

or

"i don't believe in GOD. i need everyone to know i don't believe in GOD. GOD GOD GOD"

if it's your belief, shush., it's YOURS.

(the above analogy is mildly stolen)

I have a few irish friends, and they tell me that the IRA is not back at all. It's the same problems that happen all over the world, kids get bored and do stuff, this time they are irish and have a scary name, but it's not the IRA. It's not even the REAL IRA.

I might be wrong, but this is what my northern irish friends have told me they think is happening.

Overall, a solid B+. (With extra points because this movie utterly defies becoming a franchise. Too many of those these days. Nice to see a story wrapped up  with a big "The End" when the credits roll.)

Never rule it out, if it makes enough money. After all, they are bringing back I am legend after

The articles on God from the Original Guide and the Movie Guide.

Movie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyYS-GzBSIg
TV - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcncPpQ8loA&NR=1

Both of them seem more modern that your version, I think the guide needs to be as modern as you can make it, I think the modular look makes it look too much like a gameboy and not like a useful modern swish gadget thing.

I think if I was reimagining the guide, as you say you are, not reusing, I'd model it on something like Amazon's Kindle, as this technology does seem to lend itself to becoming the guide.

or even one of the new lovely rolly screen thingies from phillips.

In a re imagining, and if by that you mean coming from a modern perspective, looking at a space age, then I think it's important to look at where technology is now, and try to extrapolate. Not necessarily to be accurate but to give it that sense of it being actually futuristic. Not clunky.

here is a bad drawing of what i mean, i kind of just drew a kindle in the end. but it was an accident.

General Discussion / Re: A laptop?

My current toshiba is 1 year old now, and has been very well behaved. Runs vista nicely if that's your choice. Excellent build quality with no wobbly hinges or dodgy buttons. Not massively high spec, 2gig of ram, 120gb HD, 17" screen and 1.6 ghz dual core.

Cost me 400 pounds new, so I imagine there are better specs around now for a similar price.

I don't know a lot about laptops, but I would strongly recommend you not get an ACER. Having owned one, and it literally falling apart (the power cable no longer connected and the screen hinge snapped) after a year of normal use. It didn't leave my house, so it was just used around my room and it couldn't cope. My house mate also had an ACER and after 6 months his monitor began to fail (dead pixels and random green lines across the screen), and eventually stopped working all together.

Surely if you do need to FIND your phone, you have already LOST it?

Unless, every time you leave ANYWHERE you have to bleep for your phone?
#112
Attaching it to what? If you attach it to the phone then it is pointless, if you attach it to yourself then you look like one of those douches with phone-belt clips.

As Andail pointed out, another phone would serve just as well, just get a friend to ring it until you find it. Seems to me like you are just multiplying your tiny gadget responsibility.

But, since I have no technical knowledge to add, I guess it's up to you!
#113
So in order to stop losing your mobile, you need to keep track of another smaller gadget?

Hmm..

Just to be awkward, a slightly easier method using audacity, switch the recording option to "Stereo Mix" and then hit record and play.

Basically the same as m0ds but I don't think windows refers to "wave out" any more. Could be wrong of course..

EDIT: This was about 10 hours ago, sorry.

Nacho, it's from a series of books called the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, if you haven't read it, I recommend you do!

Universally? I am irrelevant. So are you. There is no God, only us and animals and books and frogs and chopsticks and all of the other things. Nothing I do can affect the universe, nothing anyone does.

I prefer to enjoy life now, than think about what it might mean.

more drumstick drumming, fewer sappy messages.

He's a really strong guy but I always struggle to be "inspired" or whatever by videos like this. Perhaps I'm heartless.

I thought it was TOO obvious, going all the way back around and being subtle again.

I am a very suspicious person, that's why snopes is on my top bookmarks.

It's amazing what you can do with using a real photograph instead of mocking someone with photoshop.

You used a site proving the rumour wrong to make him look stupid.

Does this post make me look stupid?

EDIT: Snopes doesn't like hotlinking apparently.
