I don't think the Allo Allo route makes much sense, as it was designed to NOT sounds like a French accent..

Personally I would write in plain english, and add in vocabulary from French, as that is the most likely way a real French person would talk. To Signposts "THIS BIT IS IN A FRENCH ACCENT" kind of removes any illusion you might have that the dialog is really happening, reading it would be difficult in itself, making sense of it would remove you from the game.

I have something in the works. reserving a space i suppose!

I would assume that a game wouldn't get disqualified for going over one room, but the whole point of the competition is to set a reasonable boundary to encourage participation. One room is achievable, and can be a challenge to do well. Just "Make a Game in a week" would get far fewer entries.

I wouldn't normally do this, however, she was a truly lovely lady and was far too young.

I was simply referring to your displeasure at the lack of debate, apologies for the confusion.

I don't understand how the exploding reactors has annoyed you, it was an essentially unforeseeable event which many people are sacrificing their lives to prevent. Unless i'm misunderstanding annoyance (or "pissed off") and you mean it worries you?

Malice Aforethought, I would presume, is the key argument here. I would presume you accept that Doli Incapax is an outmoded law, as proved by this very case. You cannot assume that simply because of someone's age they simply cannot understand what they are doing, right from wrong. However, my argument would question how one could conclusively prove of someone so young, whether they knew either way. At least with sufficient certainty to understand the seriousness of life and death and the social norms that surround them. To establish the mens rea of murder in an adult court of law, it is to appreciate the high probability of the consequences of your action and a legal intention for these consequences to come about. This, I would imagine, is very difficult in the case of two 10 year olds, as their ability to communicate their understanding is limited by their own frame of experience. It is a complex issue on which I do not intend to replicate my essay answers.

I would dismiss Doli Incapax as an outdated presumption (as indeed the CDA did) and would afford it little relevance in this case, at least with the benefit of hindsight.

An interesting legal argument, but not worth dredging up on Adventure Game forums, seemingly to garner sympathy for the victim.

I recommend you study the law around what is considered malice aforethought. There is still a great debate in legal circles over the legality of the convictions of these boys, at what age can one truly appreciate the consequences of your actions, whether or not at the time the jurisprudence points to a guilty verdict and the validity of this verdict. It is still very much a grey area.

Do you not think that maybe, although these people have done awful things, their actions be viewed in the context of the world in which they live? To fixate upon them and expect a lively debate twenty years after the fact, is a touch peculiar. As is to be "pissed off" about Japan.

What is annoying you? The loss of human life? Or the lack of a target to pillory?

This weeks Big Bang theory references Zork. I'm sure there are more references in that show.

Some of you may remember that I am working for a small company, who are making effort to refresh their brand.

This started with a new website and has now moved onto a new Logo. The existing logo is strong, but does not translate well as a "mark", the script "H" alone does not stand up as a mark and cannot be printed easily, carved or engraved and remain recognisable. It is to this end that i have designed two new potential logos for the company.

The ethos of the company is friendly, modern, healthy, fresh and up to date, although the business is also very proud of it's farming heritage and the owners are fond of "modern heritage brands" (see Abercrombie, jack wills etc.). They sell fine foods, wine, gifts and also run a restaurant and butchers. It is to this end that a logo must be flexible enough to sit above any of these sections of the business and also be used on all stationary and such.

I have first included the current logo, and then two separate designs. The first being a logo based on crossed forks but including a modernised "h" and the second being an entirely modern logo, with a free form circle, in an attempt to appear relaxed with a nice clear font to show modernity. (i am worried this appears too childish and that the cross h one looks like a swastika)

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Due to the nature of creating logos as PDFs, and wanting to maintain the best res for you to see, they are quite large so I have thumbed them. (sorry for frustrating hosting)

Been tempted to do this since i saw the first image, it's probably hugely obvious but I like the idea of a sunbeam focusing on the lighthouse, adds a bit of focus to the scene. (sorry for the crappy edit/imageshack hosting)

It sounds like your English teacher has issues.

No-one drew "A stroll in the Park?" or "Too many puppies isn't always a good thing"?

AND your english teacher can't spell Battling?

Level building is the main focus of LBP2, the whole single player campaign is basically a tutorial for learning how to build your own levels. If anyone hasn't seen what is possible on the new game, I suggest you youtube a few clips.
