Thanks for the response Click'd & Dualâ€"I appreciate that.  I figured out what to do in that spot because I finally found a walkthrough late last night from AppUnwrapper.com (which also has all 3 paths).  I took the meanie route (assertive), and had yet to find another who had.  Anywayâ€"I'm just happy for a guide to glance at for a last resort.

If what I read from others who finished it is true, and the game is about 6 hours of gameplay or so, then my only complaint will probably be that it will be over before I'm ready for it to end.  It really has been very enjoyable.  I love when Dave Gilbert directs the characters...really great voice acting as well.

This game is amazing.  I'm a bit frustrated at the moment playing it because I'm stuck on Day 2 and every YouTube walkthrough I've seen thus far has a different new "talent" than me. I solved one mainpuzzle differently than the other players, and now I can't get Day 2 to end.  I love this game so much—a lot of its elements remind me of Technobabylon, which I also loved.  The artwork is gorgeous.  I can't wait to find out more about the main character's backstory.  I just want to be able to keep playing, lol...

Just one question (that I hate to ask):  will there be a walkthrough?

Beautiful game.  I've played through as an Air Mage, and really loved it...was ecstatic to see it finally come out!

The very end Boss was wayyyy too hard imho, especially for someone like me who always puts an RPG on easiest combat possible (simply because I like the adventure aspect of an RPG much, much more than the fighting), and I think it may have screwed me in the end.  Probably my only complaint though--it was an otherwise gorgeous, enjoyable game with lots to do and explore.  Worth every penny!

Nice!  Purchased, and will play it tonight!

I completed the game, but I have to admit, not without partially watching a walkthrough.  The interface was really clumsy, and the pixel-hunting hotspots in a few areas made me quit twice (until I found said walkthrough).

Although, like most people on these boards, I am a huge, huge 90's Sierra/Lucasarts adventure game junkiâ€"er, fan, this game really WAS all over the place like another poster mentioned.  I do appreciate the throwbacks to the Lucasarts characters & places, but I'm not sure that it really added to the experience of the story.  There were a couple of red herrings (one in particular near the end) that were extremely frustrating.

I don't mean to sound so negativeâ€"it's a cute game and I love the graphics style, even the ripped-off graphics.  Interesting idea for a game...just needs lots of fine-tuning, imho.  But hey...it's better than I could do and I have no doubt a lot of hard work went into creating it.  Thanks for making it!  ;)

Oooo!  This looks intriguing.  I like the simple graphics style, and the dialog options alone are everything I ever (secretly) wanted in an adventure game.  If you can't say "Eff off grandma" here, where else can you, really??   :=

Can't wait to play!

I just played this game for the first time, actuallyâ€"I believe I had had trouble getting it to work on an earlier computer way back in the day or something, I'm not sure.  But I noticed it again with your post yesterday, so I was finally able to download it today.  I don't know what I was expecting, but it was actually witty and quite fun to playâ€"I enjoyed it quite a bit, more than I even thought I would.  A nice way to spend 30 minutes or so before I had to get back to the usual hum-drum of the day.  Thanks for re-sharing.  ;)

I just played the demo last night.  The Colonel's Bequest is my ALL-TIME favorite adventure game.  Laura Bow 2 was fun, but just not the same feel as a guest-staying-in-an-old-mansion-whodunit.  As there has never been a remake of CB, or even a fan-made game version (that I know of), I can't tell you how excited this makes me.  I too had seen this post a year or so ago, and figured it had been abandoned, so I'm just giddy at the thought of it being completed! The demo is pretty nice...spying and snooping through everyone's crap is really fun, so hopefully the player will be able to find some juicy stuff in the drawers & cabinets & suitcases in the completed version.  ;) Looking good so far.

Can't wait to try the demo!  I played the first Chronicles of Innsmouth & really liked it...and this one looks even better!  I'm definitely happy to support the making of it on Kickstarter.  Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the release!

WOW!  This looks gorgeous...I would definitely love to help support the making of this game, I loved the first one!  Any estimate (I'm sure it depends on a multitude of factors) on when you guys are hoping to complete the game?

Looks like a very nice adventure game!  I'm looking forward to its release and giving it a go.  It doesn't SEEM (to me, anyway) quite like anything I've seen before, which is really cool.  And if your inspiration comes from classics like KQ and SQ...well then you pretty much "had me at hello".

Just completed the game & left a review on Steam...I honestly cannot give enough compliments about this game. (Or if I tried, this post would never end...)

Bottom line:  money well spent, for countless hours of great, interesting gameplay.  The artwork was gorgeous.  And every single lead in every single case really captured my attention & was just continually intriguing, leaving me wanting moreâ€"-which is what I love in an adventure game.  You could have had 20 “cases” in Lamplight City, and I'd still want to keep right on playing.

I've always loved your games, and will keep supporting them for as long as you continue to make them for us.

Oh, this already looks amazing.  I'm equally creeped out AND intrigued to see what happens next.  Cannot wait until the completed game (hopefully) comes to fruition!  Love the graphics, and the mystique of the yet unexplained storyline.  Good job so far, I'm already a fan.

Likely. Now I wonder how my favourite, Technobabylon, did. In comparison to the others, I mean.

Congratulations!!! I really enjoyed the portion of the game I saw when attempting to playtest and failing.

Can't wait to play the full game!!!

Which one was the previous best?

Oh, let's all try to guess!!!

My guess would be The Blackwell Epiphany.

My first thought was Technobabylon, but Blackwell Epiphany would make sense.  I think everyone was waiting & salivating for the final one to come out!  Although...Shardlight was amazing too.  I really don't have a clue...

And congrats (again) on beating your record!!

Yessss!  Been waiting all summer (year, really) for this one!  I cannot WAIT to get home & purchase.  I foresee some late nights ahead!  Woo-hoo!

...at the risk of getting flogged for this...will there be a walkthrough coming?  I would happily pay for a guide...  I always, always get stuck, lol.

Congratulations on the release of 3 years of hard work!!

Very nicely done game...I completed it in about 30 minutes or so.  I had to play the ending again, just to see if I could get a different outcome...;)

I loved the graphicsâ€"very nice.  I almost always download anything with these kind of high-end pixelated graphics, and the storyline was good too.  All in all, a neat little game.  I didn't realize you'd been working on it for so longâ€"-good job finishing it!

Hope there will be more to come someday from you...

This looks like a really cute game, I can't wait to play!  About how long do you estimate it will be (as in, full-length vs. medium or short game)?

I had the same problem with that dragon.  I tried feeding the meat several times too, and he would not give me the answer.  No one would...until I had to sell off a certain item for money to give to a certain person, for the answer.

I don't remember having to do it this way the first time I played the game, and I'm wondering if this is something new because of the updated version of Lonkey Island that was just uploaded this week...?

And so, because the meat thing didn't work, I'm hoping and praying that I didn't sell an item that I might need (and become stuck because of) later in the game.  It's a very long game and I am determined to finish it this time!

Anyone know?
