I cannot wait for this game.  The end.

(...wait, edit:  how many rooms are there, now that you've finished them all? (and congrats on that!))

Awesome!  Although I don't really want to start over, I'll be looking forward to hopefully being able to complete it this time!

Cute game!  Well done for such a short amount of time!  Wilfred the Wonder Cat!  :-D

Thank you for the developer's video you posted!  I was stuck about halfway through the game but was too embarrassed to ask for help.  :P  I was able to watch just enough to see what my next step was, and so I'll be playing again to hopefully finish!

I like the game, btw!  My only complaint is that it's too short, which really isn't a complaint at all, but a testament to how much I've enjoyed playing it so far.  ;)

Wowâ€"looks and sounds like a neat (for lack of a better word) game you're working on!  The graphics are my absolute favorite sortâ€"-retro & colorful.  Good luck to you as you progress in making/creating your game, and I REALLY look forward to trying it out.  In fact, I contributed a bit to the Kickstarter, I like the look of it so much.  ;)  Who can forget those crazy, angst-ridden teenage years??

Quick questionâ€"-how long do you intend the game to be?  I assume a full-length size, right?

Nice screenshots, I look forward to checking out your game!  Oh my LORDâ€"â€"those spider drawings.  I can't look at them without literally shuddering (which is a good thing!)...8-0

Looking forward to it!

VERY nice graphics!  This is the first time I'm seeing this game, and I can't wait to hopefully play it--looks like fun!!  I love the big dude with the yellow teeth--he looks like trouble.  ;)

edit:  I figured it out on my own, feel free to delete my post.  ;)

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a cheater, I'm going to bite the bullet and ask the question:  any plans for a walkthrough?  (Please?)  Loving this game, but I'm not even able to get as far as the folks asking questions in the hints & tips section.  I don't want to give up on it, I really like this game!  Quirky and lots of fun!

Thanks in advance...just try not to scold me!  (laugh)

Looks great, can't wait to play!!

Dang...this looks intense!!  And (per usual)...very, very amazing.  Absolutely, as with all of WadjetEye Games, cannot wait to purchase and play.

Hey again!  Nope...I haven't been able to complete the mini-game without it crashing.  (Thank you for posting the quick spoiler though, so I could more easily re-try.)

Here is the error message:

"An error has occurred.  Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS.
in 'playerExtends.asc', line 42
from 'room102.asc', line 168
from 'room102.asc', line 200
Error: NewRoom: cannot run this command, since there was a NewRoom command already queued to run in 'playerExtends.asc', line 42."

--This is probably irrelevant info, but I thought I'd post it to you anyway, just in case.  I have no idea how game programming works, so I can't really distinguish "unfixable" from "untestable".  It's sad that I'm not able to complete it...I do know that if you ever put out an updated version one day that I'd be excited to make an attempt at replay.  It truly is a fun game.

Well, dang.  If the bug isn't fixable, then I'm toast!  This game as a whole has been really fun though.  I haven't asked around the circus people to get hints about the rat, but I have noticed that it is completely dependent on timing, whether you guess the correct hole or not.  I have tried to play it many times where I just WATCH to see if there's a repeat pattern of which hole he comes out of in what order, but I've gotten several different patterns.  I don't know if that's supposed to happen though, or if my game is messed up?  Regardless, I will try to get the bug to repeat again so that I can report the error message.

Frustrating!  But only because I really like this game.  :(

Hints & Tips / Re: Lonkey Island—stuck!

Thanks for the reply...I managed to get through the mini-game, only to have my game crashing!  But I moved THAT problem to the Completed Games section of the forums.  ;)

I am loving this game (and wondering why I hadn't found it sooner actually)!  I'm having a huge issue though--I had posted elsewhere earlier today that I was stuck at the whack-a-rat game (couldn't win it)...so, after many, many, many tries, I finally beat it.  Problem is, right after I won, my game (Lonkey Island, not whack-a-rat) immediately crashed!  I restored from an earlier spot and tried to once again win (again, it took many, many tries), only to have the same thing happen.

I'm trying to beat the whack-a-rat once more so that I can write down the error message I'm getting when it crashes, but of course now I'm having a hard time winning for a third time.  So, in the meantime--has this happened to anyone else??  I've come so far in Lonkey, but still have so far to go--and I would REALLY hate it to not be able to finish Lonkey Island!  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  I'm pretty resigned to the fact that I'm probably screwed though. :(

Hints & Tips / Lonkey Island—stuck!

Hello!  I'm about halfway through this game but I can't seem to win the whack-a-rat game.  I don't know if the game speed is too high or what, but I don't have enough time to smack him.  Help!  I'd hate it if I couldn't finish the game, I'm loving it!  :(

Hi there!

I played the game last week...I really loved the premise of the story--some of my favorite games have been revolved around a mansion/house/exploring of creepy things & rooms.  I liked the sound effects and graphics as well, and my initial only complaint was that the character moves & interacts so slowly with his surroundings--I kept looking for game controls to increase the speed.  To me though, that's not a big deal, as I'm not in a hurry to get through adventure games.  I honestly just felt that I did a lot of wandering and found very little.  I couldn't go back into the bathroom and have a proper look around.  Time advanced only once for me, and then I couldn't figure out what to do next, as my guy didn't want to pick up anything nor pry very much into his friend's stuff.  So I very quickly got stuck.

--The faucet easter egg was cute!  Although I was kind of hoping he'd flood the apartment, ha!

Wow, how exciting!  Definitely one of my all-time faves on AGS too--I've probably played it more times than any other game over the years...

So, suffice it to say that this will end up on my Steam library come the 31st.  :)
