I'm sure I'm missing something easy, but:

Spoiler
Stella and I are standing outside in the rain waiting for a taxi.  I've talked to her as much as possible and there's nothing else I can see to do now.  What should I be doing?

Stuck again...

Spoiler
I'm on Mission 5 and just saved the suicidal woman but I'm trying to find her a suitable man.  The lonely backdoor theatre guard is the obvious choice, but other than talking to him what can I do?  I don't know what to do from here to get her a man.  I've talked to everyone...what next? /
Spoiler

I've read the previous post that started to address this, but still unsure and need specific directions.  Thanks again!

Count me in as a loyal backer!  Happy to open my wallet for this one.  As a huge fan of the first Nelly, I can't wait to see the second installment.  Everything looks fantastic so far.  Keep up the great work!

Completed Game Announcements / Re: THE BUM

Just finished the game...I have to say, I had a blast playing it.  I loved the humor and the puzzles were challenging but definitely attainable.  As soon as the bully came into the intro scene and I heard that familiar tune playing, I already knew it would be a lot of fun to play.  The graphics were just to my taste too, and I enjoyed the colorful backgrounds, simple enough but with great detail as well.  Beautiful game, deserves a GREAT rating.  I already can't wait to see what comes next!

Eh, it's me again... :-[

Spoiler
I finally have the ueberball and got into the other side of the sewers.  I obviously need something to put into the little hole where a valve should be.  Does it have anything to do with the fire hydrant or the stuck faucet in the alley?  I'm just not really sure where to go from here...and is there anything else I need to do after I knocked out the biker dude?  Sorry if too many questions...I just need some direction is all.

Thanks again...

Hey, what a great game!  I'm pretty stuck though:

Spoiler
I've scared the biker guy with the spider and klonked the electrician on the head with the bucket of water.  No sure where to go from here.  I want to widen the crack in the well but don't know what to use.  Plus I have the saw but can't saw the branch off the tree...and I don't know what to combine with the antennae (or if I'm even supposed to use that) to get the shirt from the clothesline.  I also burned the newspaper in the tar bin but can't get it out

.

Spoiler
I have the deflated ball, shoe, antennae, matches, rag, notebook, duct tape, hammer, toolbox, saw, and the chicken/sword/firecracker.  I noticed someone talking about getting a piece of string for the firecracker but I don't see one anywhere

.

What do I do next?  Help please!  Any and all spoilers welcome...

Thanks in advance.
Sarah

Edit:  gahh, I'm trying to hide the dang text and it's not working.  I keep re-reading how to hide it in the FAQ section and it looks like I'm doing it correctly but...??  So sorry!  I'll keep trying.

Looks interesting Paul.  Can't wait to see the finished product.
For me, voice-acting is a bonus, but by no means a deal-breaker.  I think it's better to play it safe with no VO than to risk it and end up with really bad acting.  Even some top commercial games are let down by poor acting.

Ditto...exactly what I was going to say.  Voices are nice in some games but unless it's top-notch acting and sound quality I think it takes away from the experience of it, and I'll usually end up changing it to text only if that's an option.

The game looks gorgeous, by the way.  Anxious to get my hands on ten hours of that...:)

Thank you Tzachs for taking the time to write the walkthrough...I couldn't get the 100 point solution and was frustrated!  So it's nice to finally get to see the "right" ending.

I think I may have to give this a whirl.  Um, is there a walkthrough as well?  My philosophy on these games is "Know before you go".

Yes, I second this question because I never was able to finish the game when I bought it originally, and it still irks me... :/

I agree, the story and gameplay was so immersive that the graphics were not an issue at all...in fact I quite liked them.  Definitely more "cutesy" than the tone of the story that's for sure...but I enjoyed them a lot, and the game as well.  Two enthusiastic thumbs up.  :)

Brrrr...just looking at the outdoor creepy, snowy scenes gives me chills!  I'm really liking the darker, more "sinister" look & feel to this Blackwell game so far.

But heck, you could make this game be "Blackwell: Rosangela Joins the Circus" and I'd be ecstatic to play it.  I'm a huge fan of every game you guys make.  Can't wait to see more.

Oh my yes, the game will take a backseat for awhile, no doubt...but congratulations to you!  What a blessing.  :)

If you decide to do a voice pack I would make it as a separate download, or at least make it possible to download the game without the speech pack as they can really inflate file size.

Oh, the game is plenty big already without a voice pack :P

Voted in your poll...  :)  IMHO, the game already appears that it will have plenty of pure unadultrated beauty and excitement without the need for speaking parts.  I like when there is a character voice pack SOMETIMES in a game, but really only when it is done flawlessly and the characters' voices are VERY accurately depicted (which is kinda subjective, I know) from their personalities (both things being very difficult to do).  To be completely honest, I think most people are so eagerly anticipating the release of this game, and have been for so long, that the lack of a voice pack will not really affect the overall satisfaction.  Everyone will just be so grateful to be able to finally play it!

That being said of course, releasing a "Heroine's Quest v. 1.1" later on in the future with said voice pack is also another route you could take.  Ultimately though, I think everyone is pretty much going to tell you that this game is YOUR baby and therefore you have to do what feels right to YOU.  No matter what you decide, people will stand behind your decision (do we have a choice?  Ha. ;)) and be excited no matter when the game is ready for release.  So, in the meantime, keep up the FANTASTIC work.  :)

Cheers,
Sarah Rupert

Edited to add:  Oh brother.  I think I was delirious from lack of sleep when I wrote this post.  I'm sorry I was so long-winded, sheesh...  :/
