I'm con. It would not be fun to arrive here, as a newbie, and find out I'm being excluded from something on the grounds of being new. Especially if that forum was created for the sole reason of excluding people like me from conversation. I would be pissed off.

If we are going to have this, and I don't have much time to follow the conversation, so I don't know towards what conclusion this topic is heading for, I'd rather like the forum to be kept secret, and to be based on a postcount number - say anyone with over 250 posts can enter - rather than an invite only type. Whew. Big sentence, that :)

I'll never die, or stop coming here. Tho I might occasionally do one of those, and not tell you all about it. But it's never permanent. I love you all too much for that.

No problem, Gilbot. The magic 8ball will reveal all.

Scid: Magic 8ball, where did Gilbot leave his Uukrul manual?
8Ball: All signs point to yes.
Scid: No, you misunderstand. Where did Gilbot leave his Uukrul manual?
8Ball: Quite possibly so.
Scid: WHERE'S THE MANUAL!!
8Ball: Such might be the case.
Scid: DAMN YOU, 8BALL! DAMN YOU AND YOUR STUBBORN WAYS! YOU WILL TELL ME!

This may take some time. I'll let you know the answer as soon as I've finished constructing my 8-ball electrocution machine.

What you want is vampires. And a big, black pyramid set in a futuristic, honk-kong like city. And a hardboiled film noir detective guy.

That is what you want. Realise it!

I'm enjoying Septerra Core right now. You have to be extremely stress-tolerant, though - because the amount of fighting you have to do in this game is insane. And the battle-engine has you waiting a long time (you have to charge up your attacks). But apart from that, the game is fun - with a great plot and setting.

The two Fallout games are the best RPG's I've ever played. They do everything right. So if you haven't tried fallout 2 yet, give that one a go. It's definately as good, if not better, than the first.

Also, I've always meanth to finish Dark Heart of Uukrul, which is a lot of fun to play, and seems really deep - but I always die too much and give up. But if you're more 'hardcore' than I am, you might like this one a lot. (U can download it off the underdogs. It's really small too)

I guess this is where all those years of always stubbornly guessing it was netmonkey's birthday, in everybodies "guess whose birthday it is", on every forum I visit, finally pay off.

It's your birthday! Happy one!

Frankly, I hope it doesn't interfere with her ability to write. I want the sixology to be completed. I dig the books.

I hope this doesn't mean that writers are going to become the "new rockstars/supermodels/whatever". There are some ugly fuckers amonst them, and I don't want to see posters of them everywhere.

I have this crap new technology CD-ROM player that cost a lot of money, and nobody else in the world has one. Has a flat hard-drive thingie you can stuff into your cd-driver, and read/write 640 MB's on. Piece of shit was broken after a month too. AND NOBODY ELSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD USES THEM EITHER!

It hit the spot. Some very sincere shit, that story. I enjoyed reading it.

I just mean that in the last enjoyable writing project, I've discovered that all those twists and turns make the end-result suck like hell.

I was pleasantly surprised at the consistancy of the plot when I got the story, and I tried my best to keep it that way.

Am I alone in hating how satan suddently showed up in the last enjoyable writing project?
#31
I liked how the plot was moving along nicely. It doesn't have any of those "Suddently, everything that happened before this point becomes irrelevant, as our main dude gets abducted by aliens. Next writer please!" moments.

Let's hope things remain that way. (*Hint hint!*)

Well, I don't know about the other guys, but I just added those ***ies when time passed. That's how I interpreted them.

I probably put in about four of them, so I guess all those people before you that wrote really short were all me. (I wrote from right after the janitor scene up to the, well, where you got it)

And sent it to Andail.
#34
Got it  ;)

Frankly, I had forgotten about the story alltogether. I haven't seen it in my inbox yet. Since I am the one after Simple, send it to me. I'll quickly add in my "power rangers have sex with the green giant" chapter, and ship the sucker down the road as soon as possible.

I think we're starting to shift from a place where people talk about topics that interest them into a place where people use topics as a place to talk in. That's not exactly my kind of thing, hence I'm not posting as often as I used to.

I think we all knew his statement was bullshit. That's why I don't think it was all that insulting.

And, I do not think it is relevant, at all, whether or not he's been around as long as Helm has, or whether he's a newbie. He deserves to be treated just like everybody else.

My theory is that it's all totally random.

And I'm on Will's side in this. As far as I can tell, he said nothing wrong.

I can just see it all happening right now.

After the required amount of clicks, ten huge trucks full of water are going to rally all through the african mainland, leaving behind them a trail of oil, mud and smoke, in order to dump some water on these natives.

But being serious, this is probably real. I don't know why this site exists either, but I don't see any way they can make a profit of many people visiting the page. After all, webspace does cost money. And there are no banners there.

Incidentially, there is no way the world's economy can support third world countries becoming richer. They are probably fucked for eternity, or until the next SARS wipes them out. It's a really cool world we live in, isn't it?

I'm actually more shy about leaving my email adress than I am at leaving my full name. As far as I know, mailer-daemons won't mail spam to your home-adress. And I think the amount of axe-murdereds that travel all over the world in order to kill some random person they've never met, for no justifiable reason whatsoever, is highly overrated.
