Yes, sorry. I just got home from school for the day. I plan on going to the store tomorrow at noon and coming back with a price. Sorry for the delay.

That's a legitimate sexual technique strategy in games, and I'd like to think, in life.
#123
What LucasArts game are you trying to emulate?
#124
I would like to help.

The only thing that may be hard for me to find are the HOT cheetos... but I'll see.

And any particular brand of Beef Jerky?
#125
Where would I be shipping these to? (Too lazy to get out the ags'ers world map...)

Quote from: Sheepisher on Wed 06/12/2006 11:37:59I say this because the whole point to the MI2 ending is that Guybrush isn't just a little boy playing pirate games with his brother ... it was all a spell created by LeChuck to keep Guybrush out of his way.Ã,  (This is made pretty clear when, as the Threepwood family walks away, little Chucky's eyes glow spookily red ... and we also see Elaine still waiting for Guybrush to return from the hole on Dinky Island and she literally says "I hope he hasn't fallen under a curse or anything".)

Well, that is the explaination given at the begining of CMI, which wasn't made by Ron Gilbert thus isn't the true meaning of MI2's ending. I think everyone would say the same if it was someone else than George Lucas who made Star Wars Ep3 or if it wasn't J. K. Rowling that wrote the last Harry Potter book, and this, without having a single note or idea on what Lucas or Rowling wanted for their series to end.

What are you talking about? That is what happens at the end of MI2. Yes, it is accepted by MI3, but those events DID happen at the end of MI2.

But we do agree on one thing. That we will forever await Ron Gilberts MI3.

General Discussion / Re: Classic car drivers?

The 1978 Datsun 280z. My mom was the original owner and just as she was passing it on over to me, the back axle gets inspected and is found that it could snap at any moment, and with that, bring down the back half of the car, completly trashing it.

We had to give it up. Such a shame.

And here's a fun note: Can you spot the car I took to Mittens 04, New York?

Like a "New View Wizard" where we can name the top tier and then one could select any of the check boxes below that could have some corresponding text boxes filled in, and some blank. Obviously the ones already filled in could be walk, talk, pick up; and then the blank ones would be user generated. I suppose people would want to be able to rename the already filled in ones, if they would want to rearrange the second tiers.

General Discussion / Re: The Afterlife...

I dunno, I think I would eventually get used to burning "alive" for eternity in Hell. I mean, it would just get boring after awhile. That's a lot of trouble to go through to change my nerve endings so that they are fire-proof but will still retain their ability to feel the pain of burning, but wait, my nerve endings can't unless they aren't fire proof.  It boggles the mind!

I wanted to say everything Nostradamus said; but he just said it clearer.

I want to be a head in a jar and never die. Well, I'd perfer a cyborg body, but yes, I don't want to die. I could see myself believing in an afterlife if we were the only beings on the planet, but we're not.

When I would think about God and Heaven, I would begin to see it as this life is just a game, and we're the toys. I think it's quite wrong for God to be treating us this way. (although I do buy the reasoning, somewhat, to what Bender realizes in that episode of Futurama when he becomes a God; about not meddeling)

I love religion. It helps keep some people on track in their lives. Ones that need it. On the other hand, it certainly causes wars.

I'm with Darth Manarb on this one. It will take nothing less than another intelligent being coming to our planet for humanity to become as one. And it would come together a lot quicker if our lives were in danger from such and even then, we would probably not last out against it.

Okay, so I side-tracked. For me, I don't believe in the afterlife. Funny enough, I am partial to believing in ghosts. Not fully, but I do believe there is something going on, and it may just be something as crazy as parallel universes to just energy outputs from something we dont know.

I need sleep. Don't do as I and post when in need of sleep.

Today, in the mail, I put an end to my 11 year battle to obtain one of my last desired LucasArts rarities...

Why, if it isn't the Full Throttle Bandana. In original packaging! I'll open the packaging when I get it framed.

Although I will buy downloadable games, such as the new Sam and Max games and Bone, there really is just something to holding the game on hard copy. And then there are the feelies. If I were to ever release a game, I would most certainly pony up the money to procure some good feelies to throw in the box. Even the real newspaper that LucasArts used to put out, The Adventurer, was real nice; but when they "upgraded" to a glossy small booklet, it took some of the charm away. It must have been more expensive to produce, but the newspaper had charm. (It's crazy to see that games like Monkey Island were sold in these newspapers for like 60-70 dollars! And we complain about next-gen gaming going up to $60. It's already been here, somewhat.)

Anyone have their favorite feelies; or on a quest to get theirs? Perhaps my favorites are the Mix-N-Mojo wheels of Monkey Island 1 and 2.

By the way, if you are wondering what the last things on my LucasList are:
Maniac Mansion 1 cork board
the Sam and Max Floaty pen, and of course,
the Day of the Tentacle Tri-Box.
(why, oh why didn't I buy this when I was 14 when it was right there on the store shelf of Babbages!?)

So whenever I start up my own games buisness in a real office building, I'll have my office lined with these goodies, in my fire-proof vault of course. And it won't be an easy adventure puzzle to get it open. I'd make the would-be thief work for the treasure. (Hint, it involves a newspaper, and a key... ;) )

Yufster, if you moved the "here" above the other text box, the comic would be more solid.

and Virtual Boy for the win!

I believe you may have inadvertantly messed with a Heuristically programmed ALgorithm.Ã,  :=

You may want to begin by telling us what MMO and what OS you are using.
#134
You could stop by...
#135
But then you'd be dead inside, and you wouldn't laugh once while watching Itchy and Scratchy.

And congrats on the two bids so far! I guess...

Are you trying to get your eBay page on digg.com?
#136
It should not, as it seems they are placeholders... but I could definitly see this being already answered on the MMMania forums.

And now, after looking, there may not be an english forums for MMMania.

Well, I reopened this, as to bring up this old beauty.

http://www.lucasstyle.com/media/AGSquickref2page_v101.doc
Forgive me for not remembering who created this quick reference.

Maybe it's time to update the ol' quick reference sheet for everyone.

But seriously, if you can't be bothered to use the search ability in either the AGS Manual or AGS Wiki, how much energy are you going to put into your game?

One thing you may want to do, is get into the IRC chatroom. You can ask minor AGS questions to anyone in there, but don't expect full on coding answers and examples. Or you can post in the 'requesting help' sticky thread in the adventure related talk and chit chat forum asking for a mentor.

It ends with directing you to a 404 page.  :=

I believe that would be the jawline showing through the beard.

This is a very interesting caricature. I love the triangular head.

I suppose it would be hard for us to give crit on a caricature for a person for whom we don't know what they look like.  ;)

Very nice.

Sell outs....

Oh wait, I would too.

Anyways, I also think the most sellable item is the cup itself (besides a boxed version of AGS).

I've found a 30 oz "Big Daddy" one on this one site, but the page seems to have some webmaster problems, as it seems to be half-referencing their 20 oz mug on parts of the page...

http://www.beldecal.com/cm/Ceramic-30oz-bd.htm

A 30 oz mug on your desk definitly demands attention... That is until I found this novelty mug site: http://promotionalproductsandideas.com/BUSINESSPROMOS/index.php/weblog/C10/

Okay, so that may be a tad too rediculous for us to be putting on our desks, but then again, we are the bigbluecup. But are we 1 & 1/4 of a gallon big?

Then there are these optional ones:

This ones almost pixely... Like our beloved low resolution. It even has a square handle! Perfect for pixelation.

Just gorgeous.

Rather nice, too.
