Can you add a frame around the image, like 10-20 pixels that continue the rusty look? And whatever rusty "positive space" between the letters that connects is all for the best.

The split "I" works well as "aggresive". I also agree with correcting the "N".

I must say, this is one of the most gorgeous and stylistic games I have ever seen. Keep up the great work, have my babies and work with me in the future on games.  ;D

As the runner of the fan site Maniac Zombies, and watching only just the first link posted, I will not be adding these as links in a future news post. As far as the first one goes, it doesn't do anything in the Maniac Mansion universe besides using the sprites.

The animation was, on the whole, well done. The "plot" is certainly not canonical nor near it. I didn't laugh during the clip and can only imagine younger kids who don't really care for the original subject matter to be entertained by it.

Quote(there's a pdf floating around somewhere with the same text + pictures) as it is a big inspiration.

Any chance I can get either a higher res image, and with you putting a couple more sheets, or another dark sheet on top of the image as you scan it?

For instance, when you see Manny's head, you can see the reverse page through him.

If you have the time, I would appreciate it!

Well, Maryland is doomed. If O'Malley brings his "winning" abilites of how he was Mayor of Baltimore to now being Governor, we really will have the highest crime rate in America. We actually have it now, but "somehow" numbers are being skewed out of Baltimore.

Oh, and I love how he has lowered acceptable passing grades in Baltimore just to get kids out the door. Yeah, that temporary solution has got to be the perfect solution.

Hooray for Maryland.  :-[

When I read it, I was not insulted. I read it more like that they are really excited about their product. Sure, I understand your points which are valid, but thier excitement may only be the reason for making the claim and of course I'm sure they are in no way meaning to insult the online adventure creating community. To take the step to release your game commercially, you've got to sell it, so I also read their claim as "purchasers of adventure games have been neglected..."

Retro Gamer # 29 has a small little blurb about your game. I took a camera phone picture of it, but I'm working on getting it up.

The Orioles cursed the Yankees with Mike Mussina. A great pitcher, and I wasn't too upset that he left my hometown Orioles to go play for New York (okay I'm lying, I'm pissed) but I know why he left to play for New York. To get a ring he so deserves.  But not once since then has the Yankees done "it".

Thus, the Orioles get their revenge. It's great.

I'll be handing out mandatory "Brit" shirts at Mittens.

I had no idea it was used as a derogatory term, and have used it to refer to brittish people for quite some time.

I haven't called any candaians 'canucks' but I don't think anyone would raise a fuss. Now... the "n" word, we have yelled at a forum member for having that in their name.  Or at least I did. We didn't need THAT presence here.

And I'm not all that keen on "eddie hitler" either, even with his explanation of where it came from... but oh well.

So Computer Gaming World Magazine releases 100 of their old issues online in PDF forms. Why does this matter to you, you may say? Well, because we're all a bunch of nostalgic gamers, thats why!

There's a bunch of Sierra goodies, like ads, previews, and reviews... but I'm not a Sierra fan, nor do I know which ones are the best, so I didn't save them. Plus I wouldn't know what to talk about.

Now that is out of the way, lets get to the goodies that I care about, because hey, this is my thread.

First up, Adventure Game creation programs! What features are we missing out on?!?

Here's some Indiana Jones pages, mostly for m0ds, but I guess any Indy fans can look.

Here is some information on Indy's IQ point style:

And here's an ad from an Indy game. I do hope to see something just as thrilling for your FoY game, m0ds.

Next up, Maniac Mansion. Come read the review on this game, and see what it took to steal the hearts of many, years before.

Zak McKraken has a review up as well.

A monkey island review has got to be somewhere in these pages, but I had already looked at around 20 issues and grew tired.

But here's a Monkey Island 2 review! Oooo!

Notice the attention to the detail of the tweed backgrounds. Suh-weet!

And last, but not least, an article by Ron Gilbert on why Adventure games suck

I locked this, but I am unlocking it, and moving it, so we can make sure someone can walk you through every single step it is to upload an image to the interweb and get you going. You really must listen to the advice we give you.

A) We DO NOT care that your images are done in MSPaint. Half of the people here use that program, or something very similar. It isn't about the program, so much as it is in the amount of effort you put into your images.

B) We've linked you to many threads around here with tips and tutorials yet you just keep posting, ignoring us.

Is English your first language? I mean, if it is not, then some things are excused due to language barriers, but either way you're taking it rather far.

We now know you are 13 years old, and myself at that age, was barely any good at the ways of the internet... heck, my first post here was a tech question easily answered in the manual.Ã,  :oÃ,  Ã,  Ã, If only I did a forum/AGS Manual search.

CJ still sends me private messages making fun of me.Ã,  ;)

But anyways, you HAVE to listen to what others are telling you. Read the forum rules. It's even okay to just lurk around and not post anything, just to get a feel of the forum.

A) first of all, put the title of the game in this threads subject title.

B) Sell us your game. I'm not talking about money. I'm talking about conveying to us your idea; your game. Why should we want to play it? Post us some screenshots.

This thread should read like the back of a fictional box art for this game, if it were to be actually sold in stores.

Follow this thread as an example:
http://americangirlscouts.org/bbc.com/yabb/index.php?topic=21333.0

Doing so will help out you and your game immensely. I already know I'm not going to download your game when I know nothing about it, nor anything about you.

zyndikate, your gorgeous work reminds me of this image of a cancelled LucasArts Full Throttle Game, "Payback"

Your fourth image has conflicting shadows. The tree shadow goes one direction, while the fence shadow falls in the oppositte direciton.

In your third image, the shadow is missing for the fence, when the tree has its shadow right there.

Your tree in the second image should be much taller, since its right next to that deck.

If anyone else is having problems securing their copy, you can do like I did and get it from:

To be honest, I didn't read the info about the strip, so I assumed that the younger of the two wasn't a vampire, so, nevermind then.

I'm not too sure how jokes about vampires fucking blow-up dolls and "Wild Horse Skullfucking" constitute pseudointellectual. Then again, I don't read much Anne Rice.

The idea was that the vampire was stalking its prey, in this case, a sex toy... it could have been a mannequin, but the vampire would be trying out its neck biting abilites, not having sex with it.

Oh, and Sexy Losers has been a favorite of mine for quite some years too.

The tower/vent on top of the house looks a little phallic. Sorry, but it does. You may want to take another look/try with that area of the shot, in my opinion.
