Apparently the game has been released, according to MixNMojo.

It doesn't look like you can get Lightwave objects there... which really sucks because that is what I am trained it. I guess I'll just have to start to learn a new program... again.

Btw, I am curious as to where you got the idea/reference for a honey pot, as to me, it looks non-traditional. Not that doing that would be bad, but to me, if I were to see it in a game, I may not recognize it as a honey pot.

General Discussion / Re: AGS deletes drivers!!

I'm not sure if this helps at all, but it is a continuation of a previous mention... If you have Windows Media Player open at all, music will not play in the ags game. So if you were to test out your music, and then switch over to AGS editor, and test your game, you won't hear your music in-game.

The weight of me sending many captions of their "pic of the week" has caused one of them to outright snap, and take the whole page down.

Success!

I broke the news on Tv.com and on GotFuturama.com

I was soooo excited, I almost wet the bed while watching Craig Ferguson, which I never do normally, I just was lucky that I was flipping through channels right when he was introducing his next guest, Katey Sagal. I was interested, and decided to watch, hoping for some mention of Futurama. She was there to promote some movie I can't remember, and at the very end, right before they were out of time, Craig brought up Futurama, and then I just thought she'd mention the DVD movies, but not so. She said that there were episodes in the making, and I was a tad skeptical at first, because she seemed to have not really known what she signed, so I just assumed it had to do with the publishing rights to air the already been seen episodes on Comedy Central, but hey, it turns out Comedy Central is producing more. Praise the Space Pope!

Now someone needs to bring back Clone High from the dead, and we're in buisness!

That could work for me.

Wired online mentions that the wonderful "Choose Your Own Adventure" series are back in production. They are reprinting old stories with updated parts to relate to this generation. And to make the news even better, the Wired newspost is made in the tradition of choose your own adventure.

The first stage of the phrophecy is complete. Eleven more stages until Adventure games shall rule the day!

Haven't done anything quite like this before so I was surprised when it wasn't too difficult.

Yes, and please keep showing us more not-to-difficult backgrounds. Either team up with someone who is far into a game development with a high grasp of what they are doing with their game, although in need of a bg artist, or take the time yourself to plan out a game with the intensity of these backgrounds.

I grabbed the Full Throttle one. When I can get back into making games full time, perhaps the end of summer, I will definitly work on this template. It's great to see what you've done, and what you are doing is a bit help to the community. keep up the good work.

15 days left everyone.

Could this be moved to the competitions thread, by any chance? Would it be appropriate there?

Make sure to credit the game you got them from.  Top one is from Resident evil... and the second one is from Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

We could have had that a couple years ago, but Infinium Labs' Phantom became debunked....

Actually, I did get downloadable console games years before that, on The Sega Channel... That was pure joy.

You passed the exam to enter the forums as a member, yet you can't remember about not double posting, nor about keeping your question running in the same thread. dont start a new thread to continue discussing your related thread. For instance, I just answered you about how to change the room. if you then go on to ask, "why is this code that I just used not working for chaning the room", you would continue to ask in the same thread.

same thing with criticizing an art piece. we dont start a new thread if we posted one before, updated the image, and are uploading the newly done piece.

A) How can you not access the manual? It is the same thing as the help file. You can access this from either within AGS by going to the Help task bar dropdown list, or selecting the file within the same folder you unzipped ags into.

Is the problem that your system doesnt want to read/open the Microsoft Helpfile program?

B) What do you mean, "How do I get to the function"
Using the interaction editor, say, for instance, you have it so that when someone walks onto a region you designate, you then start an "interaction" and then select a new interaction, for when character stands on region, and then select run script and when you go to edit the script, you would put in your new room code, with appropriate values to land your new character on the new rooms walking area.

Another article linked to, from Digg.com that I've found quite interesting is in the comparison between the Hollywood industry and the Games industry, and how there is a place for independents in Hollywood and how there may be a time when we'll rule the world.

Just not now. But keep on working and developing your skills. One of you may be the one to bring innovative ideas back into the games industry and take away the need for 8 million dollars to develop a game.

It is, in a sense, a LucasArts game. That is why Boyd mentioned that "LucasArts would probably be a bit cheesed off". This is the version done by our AGS game creator LucasFan and given away for free.
